Personal Calendar in Outlook

I've had my Bold for about a week and all has been well until yesterday.  I accepted an Outlook invitation via my Bold while checking messages.  For some reason when i did this it entered it into a new calendar which is located under my BB email address as opposed to my general calendar which i sync with Outlook.  So when i came back to my office and ran a sync everything within my Outlook calendar was erased except for the items which had been saved through my email.  How can i set up the Desktop software to find both calendars and combine them on Outlook as they do on my Bold?
Fortunately nothing was lost because it is still on my Bold, i just need to get it to transfer back to Outlook.
I've tried to change my setting so the device will overwrite my Outlook Calendar but it 's still just putting the 3 items from my email calendar.
Am I missing something?
Thanks!

I was just on the line with Apple Tech support.  First of all, I learned that when you link contacts to iCloud, it moves all your contacts to another/new address book...look for aother address books and you will see it.  But I found the new address book dies weird things and changes the "Display Names" format.  Evidently (per Apple support tech) there is no way to avoid this problem...so I just delinked the iCloud from my contacts.  The contacts stayed in the iCloud address book...so I exported them to a CSV (comma separated value) file and saved it on my desktop and then imported that list into my original contacts folder.  Now everything is back the way it was...being able to use my contact address book the way I did before.  I was surprised that they never considered or realized this problem...but then the tech guy admitted that they really don't have A LOT of experience using Windows PC's.

  • ICal is publishing holidays in addition to calendar to Outlook

I am using a utility called "iCal to Outlook" which picks up a published calendar from MobileMe and imports it into Outlook. I find it a great way to consolidate my personal calendar into Outlook at work, in order to see all events, and avoid double-booking.
However, for some reason, iCal seems to be "publishing" not only the calendar I have selected and designated to be published, but it is also including the Holiday calendar that I have subscribed to. The good news is that Outlook seems to recognize this and strips out the holidays and places them in the "Deleted Items" folder. The bad news is that at each scheduled update, Outlook goes thru this process and the cursor blinks the entire time while some 60 or so holidays are processed and placed in the trash, not to mention that this loads up the trash folder. Also, the holidays don't show up in MobileMe, since they are not supposed to. Is this a bug introduced in an upgrade to allow publishing of subscribed calendars?
Any idea why iCal is adding the Holidays to my published Calendar?
    Dave

    Hello,
There is a simple utility called "iCal to Outlook" which is a plugin for Outlook.
First you publish your calendar(s) to MobileMe or to a server, then you point the plugin in Outlook to go retrieve the published calendar at whatever frequency you desire. If you set the iCal publish preference to "automatically update" and the Outlook frequency to hourly or something, it will work just like synching to an iPhone or any other Apple device.

  • Stop iPhone from syncing personal calendar with work Outlook

How do I stop my iPhone from syncing my personal calendar with my work Outlook calendar? I want the Outlook to show up on my iPhone, but I don't want my iPhone calendar to show up in my work Outlook calendar.

It is Window XP Professional with Outlook 2007. do you have any idea. thanks.

  • I would like to be able to see my work and personal calendars in one view although I'm having a lot of difficulties.

    I have :-
An iPhone 4S set up with my personal calendar syncing to my iCloud account. All works fine.
A blackberry 9320 from work which is set using enterprise and encrypted with my corporate email (outlook 2010) and calendar. All works fine
I'd like to be able to see all my appointments/calendar all in one view so I can ensure I don't have meetings clash. This however seems impossible and I'd like some help.
So far I have tried using the active sync function to pull my corporate calendar through to my iPhone, this was successful but my company has now after 3 months disabled the function (after a new sever install, and despite challenging it is still not likely to be turned back on,due to security concerns).
I have tried entering a gmail calendar or iCloud calendar to my blackberry but again this is restricted by my company (to reduce data charges).
I'm currently struggling with inviting each calendar to each event but is not always easy and I'm getting muddled.
(Btw reverting to just my corporate calendar is not possible as I need to share my personal calendar with my wife, or I'd never see her).
Does anyone have any advice, app, procedure to help me get both of these together.
    Thanks

What app are you using to access your email?  That is where I would start first.  Also check the webpage desktop version of your email homepage for further options in settings regarding personal options to include folders, views, and etc...

I think (and I'll double check) only the BBLink events will sync on a wired USB sync. I'm fairly certain of that.
You'll need to use your calendar syncing via an EAS email account (outlook.com, for instance, is free) to sync wirelessly. It works great. I use it and was a former tied to the USB sync guy as well... and I thought I was gonna die a painful death without it. I found more freedom this way.
This explains the process. But I don't think you'll get BBM Groups to sync.

  • Share 2 iCloud calendars with Outlook PC

    Hi, firstly my set up:
    Home computer:
    Mac running  OSX 10.8.2
iCal 6.0 (or is just called 'Calendar these days - I'll call it iCal for short )
    Work computer:
    PC running Win7
    Outlook 2007
iCloud Control Panel installed, and configured using my existing iCloud account
    Phone/mobile:
    Me - iPhone, iPad
    wife: iPhone
    Desired use case:
I have my work diary, managed from my PC, viewable (and editable) from my iPhone, iPad, iCal (locally on Mac), and I have my 'Personal' diary on iCal
I've also set up a 'Family Diary', the purpose of which is for my wife and I to enter all events that we both need to be aware of, mainly evening and weekend events.
I have set up the 'Family Diary' to be shared with my wife and also my work e-mail address as I need to be able to view the Family Diary, and ideally add/edit it from within Outlook
It works fine with my wife's iPhone and her instance of iCal across 2 Macs
    Problem:
When I set up my iCloud Control Panel on my PC and select Contacts, Calendars & Tasks, only the 'Personal' diary shows in Outlook.
If I send a share invite from my Mac to my work e-mail address, I get an invite to 'Join' the Family Diary but this links through to my iCloud webpage and I'm told I can't join a calendar I'm sharing.
I also notice that within my 'Personal in iCloud' calendar in Outlook if I enter an event here it does not show up in iCal or on my iPhone. I see the events entered in iCal in Outlook, but not the other way around
    Question (x2)
How to I get the Family Diary visable and editable in Outlook?
Does the iCloud Control Panel allow for editing a iCal diary within Outlook, or only really view events created in OS X or iOS?
Many thanks - I'm kinda tearing my hair out with this

UPDATE: the item entered into my Personal iCloud calendar in Outlook has just appeared on my iPhone. So it looks like the sync is 2 way.
However the main issue - having my Family Diary visible and editable in Outlook - very much remains

  • How to view my family share calendar in outlook for mac 2011 (ical)

    Hey All
    Problem:
Want to view my family share calendar in outlook for mac 2011.
Want to have them sync on the fly (push)
Currently running 2 exchange mailboxes which have their own mailboxes and calendars which you can toggle between.
For the PC this is a relatively straight forward task.. You can add an additional calendar to outlook and you are away. Wife's PC can view her own personal exchange calendar and on a separate tab she can view, edit, print etc the family share calendar.
For outlook for Mac, I've tried a few work arounds and none of them actually work, all the Apple documentation available doesn't really cover this.
Any help would be much appreciated
    Cheers

    Hi,
According to your description, I notice that Outlook for Mac for Office 365 cannot open shared calendar.
If I misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Which account are you used, Exchange account or Microsoft account?
Would you please login OWA and test to open this shared calendar?
Outlook for Mac cannot open the shared calendar which is a sub-calendar, you have to ask calendar owner share all calendars under the default "Calendar" folder.

  • Still unable to sync calendar from Outlook with iPhone 2.0.1 / 7.7.1.11

I have an older non-3G iPhone which worked fine on sync’ing with Outlook2007 running on my Vista laptop. Then the upgrades to 2.0 and 7.7 came through automatically, and ever since sync’ing just doesn’t work.....
Leaving aside all the problems that I’ve had over the past month, and the various suggested solutions that I’ve tried (all unsuccessfully), my current situation with 2.0.1 and 7.7.1.11 is that:
    1. iTunes is currently set up so that it does not sync anything automatically on startup
    2. But on starting iTunes with the iPhone on the USB port, the first thing I get is that “OutlookSyncClient has stopped working” (why? I’m not trying to sync anything yet – and I don’t use either MobileMe or Exchange)
    3. Then if I go to the “info” tab for my iPhone, select “Sync Calendars with Outlook” and select “all calendars”,
    4. When I select “apply”, the “all calendars” button is automatically de-selected, and the “selected calendars” button selected
    5. But the “selected calendars” selection box is empty – so there is no calendar to select
    6. Not surprisingly, the calendar on my iPhone is now empty
(I haven’t dared try sync’ing contacts yet – I’d be lost without my contacts on my phone).
    Other info is that:
    a) I use Microsoft Office Live Mail through Izymail (POP3 works OK through Wi-Fi, but has never worked over any other iPhone connection)
    b) I’ve two calendars – one in my Personal Files PST and one in my Office Live Mail account (but iTunes doesn’t seem able to see either for selection)
    c) My Outlook calendar is only held locally on my PC – not on my Office Live account
    d) My Outlook uses some Add-ins – I’ve deleted all that I don’t need – the only third party one (other than the iTunes add-in) is for my Dymo label printer. The rest are shown as inactive.
    e) My PST file is (now) a Unicode PST file
    f) I’ve trid sync’ing both with and without “replace information on this iPhone”, and I’ve tried deleting the iTunes sync history, all without any improvement
Any/all suggestions are welcomed for trying to solve this (my suspicion is that if I can get iTunes to ‘see’ my Outlook calendars I could select one and it might sync OK?).
    Many thanks in advance
    Phil

I followed the procedure for iSync in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7477550&#7477550
    Here is the procedure:
Move the SyncServices folder located at ~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices to the desktop
Trash all the caches in ~/Library/Caches
    Restart machine (with fingers crossed)

  • Issue with syncing bblink calendar + group events calendar into outlook 2003

Had a BB Curve OS 7, and I was able to sync my default calendar AND my BBM groups calendars in one single sinc.
Now, I have the Q5 OS 10.2.1 and I can not find for the life of me, how to sync my device calendars (personal and BBM Group Events calendars) onto my pc using Outlook 2003.
Called my carrier and they don't even know what to tell me. Can someone point me in some direction please!
PS I would also accept a solution using a cloud calendar (Gmail, Outlook.com...) I just want ALL calendars to be visible from my PC with one combine calandar view.
2014-02-22 UPDATE: Just installed BBLink 1.2.3, same issue.... No solution yet!

The OS7 calendar sync ONLY sync's the default calendar. Unless you merged your BBM group calendar entries (you would have had to move them to the default calendar using a special, and little known, documented procedure) into your default calendar you couldn't have had the BBM group calendar sync'd.
Regardless, the BBM group calendars will not sync to Outlook in BB10.

  • Is it possible to add birdthdays for public folder contacts to your personal calendar?

I have a user asking me why their iPhone can alert them to birthdays of contacts from our shared company contacts, but Outlook doesn't display the birthdays.
Our environment is Office 365, Windows 7, Office Pro Plus 2010.
Is there any way to add the birthdays from contacts in a public folder to the users personal calendar? There are approximately 3,000 contacts in this public folder if that makes a difference (i.e. a solution that requires touching each contact
    by hand won't work).

Would touching the contacts by macro work? I have a macro that does this at the end of this article:
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/contacts/adding-birthdays-and-anniversaries-to-outlooks-calendar/ - but its not working on my PF contacts. It might be better to use a macro to create birthday events in the calendar - I have a macro that is halfway
there, I'll make it work with my PF.
Are the birthdays in another calendar already? If so, copying them to the personal calendar could be the easiest (group by birthday category then drag.)

  • How to open shared calendar in Outlook for Mac 15 (Office 365)?

A colleague in my organisation has created a calendar in a different version of Outlook and shared it with me, but I am unable to access it. What am I missing?
    I have tried:
    Select Calendar
    Click Open shared calendar
Search for the person's name. They appear in the list.
Select and click open. I get a popup saying "Outlook was redirected to the server secure.autodiscover.... to get new settings for your account (email address of person I selected). ..."
Tick "Always use my response for this server" and click "Allow". The same popup appears.
Again I tick "Always use my response for this server" and click "Allow". I get a popup saying "Outlook cannot open the folder. You do not have permission to open this folder. Contact (sharer's name) for permission."
Also, this colleague has triggered a share invitation email.
This contains an XML file that I cannot open with Outlook.

  • Synchronizing Calendar with Outlook Marks Everyday of the Year as an Event

Scenario: 2nd Generation Touch 32GB, Windows XP Pro SP3, Outlook 2003
Prior to purchasing my touch last week, I have been able to successfully synchronize my calendar and contacts with my iPod Classic.
My new iPod Touch synchronizes my contacts and calendar with Outlook; however, my iPod Touch also marks everyday of the year (including those without events) with a Dot to indicate that something is occuring that day. Thus, I have to click on each day to determine when there is an actual event. The iPod Touch seems partially aware that there are no events for these days because it displays "no events" when you scroll to those days. HHHEELLPPP!
How do I prevent the iPod Touch from marking everyday of the year with the a dot to indicate that an event is scheduled for that day? Is there an obsure setting causing this behavior?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Fullerms,
you have a couple of options:
Mail for Exchange -- will sync to your Exchange server over the air (flat rate data plan strongly recommended) just like the WiMo devices do. I do this since about two years, first with my E61i and now with my E71. Fast, simple, and easy.
SyncML -- services such as Funambol and others can let you run this option. To sync my Exchange at work and Outlook at home, I'm using a local copy of Funambol (plus always-on DSL plus DynDNS and a few trix), although there are also some open Funambol-based services you can use. You will need to install a Funambol sync client on your PC, but it's not the Nokia PC Suite!
Other options that come to mind could be Google Calendar and similar -- somehwere a server in the sky where you dump your calendar and contacts regulary and sync them up to the phone.
    My personal recommendation is MfE.

  • TS3999 The calendar in Outlook (and icloud) doesn't print all the events.  Only a few items are printed.

I joined icloud and now have 3 calendars in Outlook: Calendar in iCloud, Calendar (2) in iCloud and Local Calendar in iCloud.  When I try and print the calendar only a few items print.  Most of the items/events in the calendar on the computer are not on the printed calendar.  Has anyone else had that problem?  How do I get in touch with an iCloud support person?

Thanks Carolyn for the swift reply.
Tried on both but unfortunately didn't work for me.
I will create a new calendar called "Birthdays1" and will enter all birthdays again to see if that works.
Problem seems to be only with the Birthday calendar so might be corrupted over time?
Find it strange though that the Birthday calendar does appear correct and complete on my iCloud account online.

  • Managing an Organizational Calendar in Outlook for Exchange 365

    Dear Friends,
One of our assistants manages the calendar for our entire organization, which she would like to share with the remainder of the organization. She currently manages the organization's events on her default calendar, associated with her domain account.
Hence, when I access our organization's calendar, instead of seeing the organization's name (i.e. Walmart, etc.) at the top, it reads Sally Fields, the name of our assistant. We would like the organizational calendar, when shared, to read the organization's
    name, instead.
However, many of our events are generated within another program (EMS), which will only export data to the default calendar (which it refers to as a personal calendar).
So, that leaves me with several questions:
    1. Can I change the share name of the default calendar within Outlook?
    2. If not, can I designate another calendar, with a different share name, as the default calendar?
    3. If not, can I set up another calendar, with a different share name, that will automatically grab events from the default calendar as it changes?
    4. May someone have a different idea for accomplishing this goal?
Many thanks for any ideas on how to facilitate this.

The Office 365 forums are here:
    http://community.office365.com/en-us/forums/158.aspx
Why not create a shared mailbox for the calendar?  Then your app can write to its default Calendar folder, and you can share it out for others to use.
