PERSONAL EMAIL not getting to device

This all started yesterday when App World wasn't recognizing my password which I KNOW was correct - even reset it like 4 times. THe phone didn't even trigger the security swipe after the 10th attempt like it was supposed to. I had to do a security swipe twice to be able to get into App world. I restored and  I set everything back up. I noticed my email account was gone so I set it back up. When clicking the envelope icon it opens the mail box. I noticed I wasn't getting any new emails so I tried sending one. Said "Messenging Services are not set up" blah blah and took me to teh Wizard where there was my email account setup already setup. I have been on the phone with ATT for probably 3 hours and they can't fix it. All the things, rebooting by taking out the battery, powering down, deleteing the eamil on the phone, and/or on the BIS url and adding it back, sending the Service books, reregistering the phone - none of it worked. My email is through Comcast and was nothing overly difficult. It is configured as they show for pop3 mail. So I restored my old email messages from a backup that I had thankfully accidentally created yesterday morning. All old my emails are back, After setting up the email account AGAIN is has a little number 1 under the email account icon. I can SEND emails that arrive at destination and on my comcast account and in Outlook on my computer, but don't make it to my phone as incomig messages. ANd the outgoing take a LOOOOOONNNG time and have to be resent but finally go. I am still not able to get incoming email to the phone. I am HOURS AND HOURS into this and very frustrated. They told me to call Blackberry>
Has anyone had

Jeffster,
I've been careful to make sure I was sending private messages and I'm sure that happened since they are not showing up on this community site. But to make sure, I just now went to the private message link you gave me previously and posted a new message. After I clicked the blue Send button, I got the message: "Your private message has been sent." This new message is now listed with my previous private messages and they are all showing "Not Yet Read."  In my last message, I gave them the domain name and IP address that is getting blocked.
ATT Uverse Care can read the PM w/o it showing up as read.  Having said that, their hours are 8a-11p M-F EDT and are around on some weekends.

Ask the recipient to check Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether.
Also see if you are able to resend the email by following these steps.

  • Create a personal email on a corporate device

    Greetings:
I have a BES user that wants to access his personal email (gmail) from the device (8820). But every time we tried it gave an user/password error while configuring thru the personal email setup option.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi there!
Then there is something wrong with the credentials -- special characters, alpha versus numeric, something. If configuring via the device isn't working, try going from a PC to the BIS website and configuring it there:
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Where_can_I_log_into_my_BIS_account%3F
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB10154
Personally, I never use the device interface to BIS anymore...it's just too easy to mis-type something. The website interface is much simpler to get right.
Oh -- and make sure the user logs into GMail first and enables POP or IMAP (depending on their desire)...if those aren't active, then access via POP/IMAP can't work.
Let us know how it works out.
    Cheers!

  • Myblackberry tips 'setup personal email" situation getting out of control

I would like to draw any ones attention who can do something helpful about this unfolding situation in the `setup personal email` tip area of myblackberry, users are becoming increasingly disgruntled simply because they can not setup their personal email..
Primary reasons i see for this:
No Data allowance on their phone plan
    BIS not registered
    BIS holds incorrect IMEI/PIN
    BIS holds stale account information
    ServiceBooks not correct
    BES enabled handset
== shed load of confusion for less technical users
Users are going to these tips in the first place when things are going wrong, they need to be here on this forum but the link is not that obvious on blackberry.com
these 6 issues are driving users crazy just take a look.. I have endevoured to help but I am not a great teacher..and the posting capability of the tips area is useless... and in fairness the original tip is totally useless to people in this scenarios.

  • Email not getting send: Error message 'No delivery to external email id

    Hi All,
Whenever i am trying to send mail to external address from Business Workplace (Tcode: SBWP), it initially sets the status of the mail as waiting with message 'Will be sent after server date:server time'. But after 6 hours, its status changes to error with message 'No delivery to <external email id>.
When i checked in error log (in SOST), it displays the following messages:
    1. Document sent
    2. Wait for Communications service
    3. No delivery to <external email id> (after 6 hours from Document sent/Wait for communications service time)
Please suggest me how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Shradhanjali Mishra

    Hi Shane,
Extremely sorry for the late reply.
I asked the BASIS team to fix the issue.. and i think they did some configuration as a result of which i am not getting any error msg now while sending email.
I guess you also need to check with your BASIS team to fix this issue.

  • Emails not displayed on device. Receiving KEY_REQUEST without intervention.

    Hi,
    configuration:
Blackberry Enterprise Server Exchange, several BB devices.
During the middle of the night emails are recieved until a certain point on a 8100. After that, no new emails are displayed anymore. No user intervention at that (night)time. The connection to the device is stil maintained as seen in the BB server console and in the log files. Replacing the device with a brand new one gives the same result. The sim is the same. This happens every 14 days. Only solution found yet is to regenerate key from the BB device.
Perhaps somebody can have a look at the log files. Any suggestions to overcome sending this nightly request or at what time this might be generated?

is typical for this user only and does not come up with other users on a key_request.
Regenerating a key from the BB device solves the problem. Only disadvantage: it occurs every 4 weeks, independent of doing a regeneration in between.

  • Email not getting through to my account

For the last 24 hours or so I have been experiencing problems when users in Europe have unable to send me emails using my @me.com,@mac.com or @icloud.com accounts.
Is anyone else getting this issue please?
    Thx John

If you are not getting the email, you can contact Apple Support to have your Security Questions reset:
    ACCOUNT SECURITY CONTACT NUMBERS
Once you get them reset, check your Rescue Email address on Manage Your Apple ID to make sure it is still a functional address. It is not the same as your primary or alternate address.

  • Team invitation email not getting through?

I have a team and have invited users to seats that I have purchased but they are not getting the invitation emails. I have tried Adobe support on the phone but I dont have two days spare to stay on hold and then be cut off!

If you do a search of the forum for  "email mac" you will find plenty of others who had/have the problem and just about as many answers as to how to fix it.
Sometimes just leaving it alone is the best answer and the email sorts itself out.
Have you tried accessing your email via your BTYahoo webmail? If you have use that meantime.

  • Gift this app, person did not get it

i used gift this app and the person did not receive an e-mail for the app, but i got charged for it. anyone know why? i double checked the email address

When I send them they arrive in seconds.
Ask the recipient to check Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether.
Also see if you are able to resend the email by following these steps.
If the problem persists, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • Emails not getting trigerrred in access request- request type = user creation

    Hi ,
Can any one help me with solution why emails are not getting triggered in request->request type = user creation. I.e the L1 manager is not getting email when request is submitted.
The checked SU01 regarding WF_BATCH email(email is maintained) and the request can able to identify the manager, but the manager is not getting any emails. In audit log, it shows with whom is request is pending with. And it is showing nothing in SOST and SLG1.
The scenario is : In user creation, for a given user..if position is maintained,im submitting position based request using FM   GRAC_IDM_ORG_ASSG_REQ_SERVICES   else if position is not maintained, im submitting user based request using FM   GRAC_IDM_USR_ACCS_REQ_SERVICES(in user based request, emails are getting triggered).
    Thanks

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

  • My PCI-6503 card does not get a device number

I have a PCI-6503 I/0 card installed and it apperas corret in the Device Manager. In the MAX explorer it is identified as PXI device. But I don't get a device number for it. What can I do?

    Marcus;
Very strange. Is the board working properly without the device number?
You can also try to assign a device number to the board. To do that, right click at the board, and choos the Properties option. You can enter the device number there.
    Hope this helps.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It might not be anything on your end.
Here are some overlapping possibilities, all on the receiver's end:
    1) Spam filtering, restricting incoming messages from certain domains know to pass lots of spam (Hotmail, Yahoo)
    2) Corporate or personal firewall restricting incoming messages to certain 'trusted' certificates and/or domains and rejecting all others.
    3) Anti-virus or similar filtering detecting a suspicious 'signature' in emails and/or attachments sent from your domain or your computer.
    4) individual email account rules for filtering, accepting, or rejecting messages, based upon content filtering applied to your message
         sender's actual name
sender's published name within the email
some keyword(s) or phrase(s) contained in the subject line of your message
         all messages with attachments
messages with attachments larger than a certain size
messages with attachments of a certain type
    5) The receiving email account might be marked 'exclusive', meaning that it will only receive email from people/organizations already in the address book or otherwise marked as 'safe'.
    6) You might have a name or organization that unfortunately contains part of some blocked word, for example 'Shelly' contains 'h*ll'. 'Matsushita' contains 's*it', 'TheBitChurner' contains 'b*tch' and so on.
    7) Be absolutely certain that you have not transposed any letters. For example, I have an acquaintance whose name is Shelia (pronounced 'sh-LEE-ah', not 'SHEE-la'). For the longest time, I misspelled her name 'Shiela' in her email address, so she was not receiving my emails.
Never discount the possibility that they might be ignoring you on purpose!
