Personal Fast Dials - Error

I am receiving the following error when access Fast Dials from 7960 phone:
Error: -7ffbc17c: Accessing an empty list.
Note: this is not an invalid password error.
Any ideas??

What CCM version are you running? There are some bugs for old versions about this.
Cannot add Fast Dials when CCMUser page points to the Subscriber Server in a Cluster
running 3.2(2c) spH or spG.
Symptoms:
Adding the first Fast Dial leads to the following error
Error While Loading Page
Accessing an empty list (-2147205500)
Adding Consequtive Fast Dials leads to the following errors
Error While Loading Page
Unable to find Fast Dials entry (UserName3-fd1049392796291) (1)
WorkAround:
1) Try adding the Fast Dial once more after you get the error and it gets updated.
2) Point the CCMUser Page to the Publisher.

Configuring fast dial on 7960 phone

In CM IP Phone service I have created a fast dial number which is not successful. The error I recieve is 'User was unable to be validated'under Services Personal Fast Dial on the phone.

I have end users who just do not get this. It's probably the worst setup from Cisco for these applications.... but there is some logic behind it because of Extension Mobility and "pins". But if the login page for CCMuser could be tied to the Domain account that they log into. I wish they could use LDAP to challenge the account login for this page. Then it would just be the "PIN" everyone has to remember.

Configuring the Personal Fast Dials Service
You configure Personal Fast Dials by adding the service to Cisco CallManager Administration and configuring the appropriate service parameters. To configure the Personal Fast Dials service, perform the following steps.
Procedure
Step 1 Choose Feature > Cisco IP Phone Services.
The Cisco IP Phone Services Configuration window displays.
Step 2 In the Service Name field, enter the name of the service you want to display in the menu of available services on the Cisco IP Phone User Options window, for example, My Fast Dials.
Step 3 In the Service Description field, enter a description of the content provided by the service, for example, Personal Directory - Personal Fast Dials.
Step 4 In the Service URL field, enter the URL of the server where the application for the Personal Address Book service is located:

Step 6 Click the New button to the right of the Parameters list box.

Fast forward error

My Ipod is half full of mp3 files that I have ripped from my CD collection. Suddenly (this is new) when I try to fast forward in a song by clicking on the center button so that the triangle pops up, the song will jump back to the beginning after I scroll to the location in the song where I want to be. I flashed my player with the new software the other night, so I don't know if this is related or not.
Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Git does has awesome man pages. Still not sure how this happened though as I'm the on person on the project. Did a 'git push --force' that fixed it but lost my history which I guess isn't a big deal.

Ok, so how do I then do a git push that will assure that the local and remote repository are in sync (i.e. deleted folders... that have been erased on the local are also not on the remote repository)? Before I was getting old scripts and such that I had deleted being left on the github repository. The 'git reset --hard' seems to have fixed it as I'm pretty sure I didn't do any other changes after I added that, but maybe it was something else?

Difference between Speed Dial & Fast Dial & Abbreviated Dial

Our company is installing callmanager with a few IP phones (7841, 8831, 8945).
I am documenting how to use the phones.
Based on the user guides for these phones, I cannot tell what the actual difference is between Speed Dial & Fast Dial & Abbreviated Dial.
Does anyone have any guidance on this?

We have 7945's and 65's but by the looks of your phone you have a directory button.
The speed dials are configured on an available button on your phone.
The abbreviated dials are setup in your self service console as speed dials and are only available on the phone you are setup on. you press the number you configured and hit the abbrDial softkey and it dials.
The fast dials are available in your personal directory which will follow you to any phone as long as you enter your login. When you view your personal directory you can look at your contacts and you can tie your contacts to a fast dial number.

Flash stops working and freezes firefox. I have Fast dial and dont want to lose it so what can I do to fix this?

It doesnt matter what site or what I am doing it will come up randomly and freeze firefox then finally a box pops up and says Flash is busy or not responding continue or stop plugin. Naturally I stop plugin. I always install the latest flash versions I have even uninstall and reinstalled flash and downgraded and still no change or it bugs me to update. I am using firefox 26.0 I usually stay away from the betas if all possible. My biggest worry with using the reset firefox or making a new profile is my fast dial I have tons of sites right there waiting for me to click on and im afraid if I do all this I will lose it. But I have used same profile for years and years so maybe its time. I will just have to redo my fast dial I guess Unless someone can come up with another way to do it. I have disabled hardware acceleration on firefox I have to it makes my browser do some weird things. I also have disabled Hardware acceleration in flash as well. I have cleant temp files and registry. I am good with computers but have never seen issues like this with flash. If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks.

Sounds like you have done a lot. Have you tried to make a new profile for TESTING purposes only? You could have a bad profile. it is possible.
Also, have you tried protect mode for flash? I wrote up a bat file to set it up so you don't have to go digging through system files.
Also i have some unorthodox methods you will not see in these forums to try out if you are interested as they have resolved several peoples that i can confirm issue. I have been going crash free for over 6 months now since i implemented. Believe me some issues nothing in these forums will resolve. Click on my name on the left there is a blog i created just for this issue with all the info and some of the fixes. Everything is fully automated. Very little user interaction.

I lost fast dial when I lost the internett the other day. and now when I try to open it says up in the tab: chrome://fastdial/c...tent/fastdial.html. how can i fix this?

I was with the computer in a place without internett and then I went on the internett (mistake, i do it because its like a impuls to press the internett butten), and then when I came home fast dial was like '' this is embarrassing. We cant open up the tabs you have been using before you lost the internett'' or something like that, and that have happened before, but then i clicked the go back to fast dial, but this time I did not do that. How can I get back fast dial?

Got it! Thanx. What I did was go to my account, check that they had my new ID and Password which they did, then hit reset button. All fixed.

After downloading and installing V. 5 my Fast Dial homepage has disappeared from the opening screen. All of the webpage logos are gone, and the opening screen is blank. I have not been able to restore the Fast Dial homepage. How do I restore the Fast Dial homepage with all the logos?

This does not help. The checkbox is checked. The Downloads window is listed in the list of windows in the Windows menu, though it isn't shown in the set of windows displayed by Exposé when I display only the Firefox windows. Somehow it seems to exist as a non-appearing window.

Last time I updated Firefox (V. 5) it deleted my Fast Dial page and it was a real hassle getting it back. If I update to Firefox 6 will it delete my Fast Dial page?

Whenever I open a new tab, Yahoo search is there instead of fast dial sites.

I have fast dial installed. I want it to show up every time I open a new tab. But instead of fast dial, I get a yahoo search. I uninstalled Yahoo every where I found it but it's still there. I just want fast dial to show up. It works if I click the icon at the top, but it needs to show up in new tabs.

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).
If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.
