Personal iPhone as a debug device?

Hi all,
I am currently using a refurbished iPod Touch as my only debugging device, and am considering using my personal iPhone as a debugging device as well. My iPod touch appears stable, so I'm wondering:
What are the downsides to using my iPhone as a debug device, like will my iPhone become unstable?
anything else I should know?

I used my only iPhone for development under 2.x without issue, there is absolutely no way that I would try using it for the 3.0 beta release.

ALWAYS sync photos to a computer, don't count on icloud to store them for you. It does include photos from the camera roll in a backup, but that's all - and restores are not reliable when it comes to photos.

Since you should always be syncing photos to your computer as you would photos from a camera, then sync from iphone to itunes/computer, then sync from itunes/computer to ipad.

FOR A PC:
On a PC, simply drag photos to the designated Photo Stream Upload folder. By default, this folder is located atC:\Users\<user name>\Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads. You can change this location by visiting Photo Stream Options in the iCloud Control Panel for Windows.

Hi my work Blackberry can text my personal iphone 4S, but this iphone cannot then text reply back to the BB (using SMS).
Both devices are on Verizon network and have independent phone #s. Voice calls are no problem either way, but text msg from the iphone to BB is the problem. This same iphone have no issues 2-way texting another iphone or a LG Cosmos 2 "flip phone" in the family. I've tried a) turning off the iphone's wifi; b) toggle iMessage on or off; c) resetting the network; and d) turning the iphone on/off but so far no success.

This is a BlackBerry 9930 on 7.1.0.1066. I've only recently tried texting between this BB and the iphone, so there were no prior succcesses sending from iphone to the BB.

I'm using 3G3 16gb and just upgraded to 4.3.3. Tried activating bluetooth to use Personal Hotspot for my laptop. But the iphone keep searching for devices thou my laptop can detect the phone. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the iPhone won't update and is stuck. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

If you are concerned.
Log off all iCloud and Apple ID accounts on your devices.
Change you password for Apple ID and iCloud.

Why can't I add my iphone to my current devices

I want to add my iphone to my current devices to my account. but it not lets me do that. it says its associated with another apple ID. but i dont dont have another apple ID. i bought it from another person in Armenia. the phone was bought originally from USA. it was not stolen. i remember that ive added it to my devices before..but somehow it says i cant add it..

Amber74 yes. You need to update your BIOS. Go to your manufacturers site and look for the latest update. There is a problem with Windows and P55 chipset in relation to USB ports. That should resolve it for you.

It's supposed to show up as a camera because it is a camera. Additionally, you won't be able to sync your music from your iphone back to iTunes... media sync is one way... iTunes to the iPhone.

I have had a 3GS for 2+ years. After upgrading to IOS 4 (now 4.3.5) I began having problems. In the past week, my screen went to the itunes logo and USB cable twice -- unprovoked -- just found it sitting there like that! The app should locate both phones if they are using the same iCloud account and the app is signed into the account. If they are using different account, sign out, then sign back in with the other account to track the other phone.
If one of them isn't showing and you're signed into the correct iCloud account, go to Settings>iCloud on the phone in question and turn Find My iPhone Off, then back On.

You're welcome.
First check to be sure the new phone is running the same or higher version of iOS as the one you backed up (Settings>General>About>Version). If it isn't, you'll need to update the iOS first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the options, choose Restore from iCloud backup and follow the prompts, choosing the backup of your personal phone to restore to.
Be sure the phone is connected to wifi and your charger while it is restoring the backup.
