Personal Profile and WinCE

I Have to develop an application intended for Pocket PC running WindowsCE.
I have readed articles explaining the use of Personal Profile and all the related CDC profiles, but in the download page, there is only a Linux/x86 java runtime environment...
How can I develop correctly applications for WinCE with Personal Profile?
Note: I'm new to CDC but I've been working with CLDC/MIDP for 2 years..

Try kXML. It should work on any Java platform.

Show HTML in Personal Profile?

i'd like to show HTML (from a file or from a string) in any kind of component in an app running on a PDA. Probably i will use Personal Profile (and WSDD).
Are there any components I could use to show HTML. Maybe in AWT?
I know there are components like that in swing, but I don't know if I can use swing on a PDA??

You can show HTML in swing components like JEditorPane, But not in AWT.
Also I could not find a way, how to run swing app with WSDD on PDA.

Using MMAPI with Personal Profile...

Hi,
I've read everywhere that the Mobile Media API, as an Optional Package for J2ME, is compatible with both CLDC/MIDP and CDC/PP.
I need to write an application with MMAPI for a device that runs CDC/PP. I can write MMAPI with the Wireless Toolkit 2.2 but it does not feature the CDC. So I tried Nokia's CDC/PP emulator (Nokia 9500 series 80) but it does not contain MMAPI and everybody on the Nokia forum say it's a pity that the Personal Profile cannot use MMAPI...
So I don't know what I can do. Is there an emulator that allows me to write an application running on CDC with Personal profile, and that uses the Mobile Media API?
That's quite important for my internship and I'm quite disapointed not to find what I search. Can anyone help me?

Media API on Personal Profile

Hi,
I'm trying to write an appliation which uses the Camera on my PDA. I'm using IBM J9 on the PDA with Personal Profile, and my application uses lots of AWT widgets, so it's not possible to move to Midlets.
I was trying to add the MIDP library to my application to be able to access the camera. For some reason I can't do this, because J2ME applications can only use one profile. Is there anyways to add the Multi Media APIs to Personal Profile applications ?
Can anyone give me some advice on how to make this work ? or point me to an alternative way of accessing the camera on my PDA.

J2ME & Personal Profile - HOW LONG MUST WE WAIT

Hello!
I� am worry about the shipment off Personal Profile and CDC.
How long must we wait so that Sun will decide to launch this product?!!!
And what about Personal Java for WindowsCE 3.0 (not a beta release, a final and stable one)? There are VM that we can buy (Insignia), but the principles of Sun and Java are Open Source and free licenses not Open Source BUY IT?!!!!! Besides that this version do not support the possibility to access to MS Pocket Access Database...
Does anyone know something about this?

Why don't you use J2SE instead, that way you don't have to wait for J2ME anymore!!!!!

Editing Personal Profile?!

I was trying to enroll to begin developing apps and I hit a roadblock. In the "Review & Submit" step of applying it displays your personal profile and billing information. The personal profile name is used as a seller name. I wanted to change the name on the account! I have been sending emails back and forth with apple for about a week and have gotten nowhere! Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I'm looking to gauge Java's GUI capabilities for high

Information added at my work profile on MacBook Pro doesn't get to the other iclouds: my iphone and personal profile on MacBook Pro.

Things added on other profiles (Iphone and personal profile on macbook pro) does get to my work profile, but not the contrary.

Profile is which profile I chose to enter in my SnowLeopard System. I created 2 profiles. One I enter to work, the other, personal, I enter to do my personal things when I go home.
It worked weel for a while. I had muy icloud working on both profiles, with iCal, Agenda, etc. Now it doesn't anymore. On my work profile the information from icloud only gets in, not out.

When I compile the CDC/Personal Profile,in RedHat 7.3,I get this message:

Just do export LANG=en_US
also edit the /etc/sysconfig/i18n file entry for LANG to en_US instead of the UTF.8 stuff
I don't know the exact reason though.. this will work.

IBM Device Developer and Personal Profile

Hi,
There are two workarounds for Running Personal Profile on IBM Websphere Studio Device Developer 5.5 ...
1) When adding a build from the build wizard, deselect the check boxes for "Java libraries not to include in jxe/jar file" on the Jxelink options page of the wizard. This will include all of the necessary Java(tm) library class in the JXE.
2) Add the following VM arguments in the Arguments tab of the launch configuration:
-Xbootclasspath:C:\wsdd\wsdd5.0\ive\runtimes\common\ive\lib\jclFoundation\classes.zip;C:\wsdd\wsdd5.0\ive\runtimes\common\ive\lib\jclFoundation\locale.zip;C:\wsdd\wsdd5.0\ive\runtimes\common\ive\lib\charconv.zip;C:\wsdd\wsdd5.0\ive\runtimes\common\ive\lib\jclPPro\ppro-ui-win.zip -jcl:foun

Difference between settings in company profile and personal profile

i have been using a 30 days free trial account.Whatever theme setting i am giving in personal profile that is shown but whatever i give in company profile it is not at all shown.can anyone explain me the reason why this is happening?

If you have a theme selected in personal profile it will override the theme in company profile.

Im not exactly sure what you mean by color profile..can you specify? So i have a dslr canon and take great portraits and tune them to exactly how I want them to look, they dont print at all like the colors presented on my screen. If i antique them then they print yellowish. Ive even tried printing them at walgreens because i thought it was my new printer. Hp hasnt let me doown til now. Is ot a printer setting? Ive never had this kind of printing issue.

I was upgrading to iOS5, backed up files on my iphone4, when relaunching the iPhone, I decided to create a new profile (and then copy all contacts from the old profile). The old profile then got erased, together with all contacts. No old profile in iTunes

I was upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS 5. The old files in my profile backed up. When relaunching the iPhone, I decided to create new profile on the iPhone, thinking I could copy my old contacts from the old profile (as iCloud seems to merge all contacts). When the ne profile was created on the iPhone, the old profile on iTunes disappared without a trace. Please help restore my contacts.

Did you use the Profile Manager or did you use reset to create that new profile?

A reset tries to import some data from the old profile and then moves the profile to the desktop, but if you use the Profile Manager then you need to copy that data yourself to the new profile.
If you've deleted the old profile before making sure that your data has been recovered then you've lost that personal data.
