Personal ringtomes

Hey guys,
Sounds silly but got used to Nokia all these years, I am unable to find how to have the personal ring tomes in my new Iphone4. I ve browsed the sites here n there and found that you can convert the mp3 file AAC and rename to m4r extension and then connect Iphone to Itunes and then browse for Ringtomes folder under Iphone and sync. I dont have the ringtones folderin my itunes. Can anyone let me know what is the actual procedure or even is it possible.
Thanks
Sunny

Ringtones would be found under "Library" on the left of the screen in itunes.
If it does not show, then go to itunes preferences>General>Show and check the ringtones box

  • How can I use multiple ipad's on one account without sharing individuals personal email accounts?

Is it possible to have multiple ipads on one account and share info, but also allow the individual users to have personal email that is not seen on the other ipad's? We have all ipads on same icloud account because we all need to see the same ical. It seems like that's the problem. If it IS related to icloud then if we have separate icloud accounts, how would we share the main ical otherwise? Sharing the ical is very important for this business so everyone can access the daily schedule. Of course each user still wants to have private email.
    Hope this wasn't too confusing!
    Thanks!
    Doreen

you could set up the main icloud itunes acount for ical and not have in setup on the devices
and share the calandar with the other itunes accounts on the devices
or only have it on one device
devices have the users indervidual itunes icloud setup
they should be able to access the shared "main" itunes icloud ical account once it's shared

if the devices are company owned you could go futher and setup find my iphone on the main itunes account
and not on the user icloud accounts

  • IF-statement in Personas that is checking if control is inactive?

    Hi,
I have this simple script in screen personas that is clicking the option: "Attachment list". Everything is working great if there is attachments.
If there are no attachments the option is "inactive" or "greyed out". This will result in a script error.
I thought this was going to be an easy fix by adding IF statement to the the script. But howerver I specify the critera for the IF statement the script will always try to click the Attachment list. The condition will simply always be TRUE.
Am I missing something here or is it not possible at this time to script an IF statement that is checking if the control is inactive or similar?
    Best Regards,
    Oskar Söderlund

There is another way, but it will get a little tricky.
Outside of the transaction IE03 you can check for the existence of attachments for a piece of equipment by looking in table SRGBTBREL. Field TYPEID_A will be "EQUI" and field INSTID_A will be the equipment number, zero-padded on the left to 18 characters long. Use SE16 to look in the table and you'll get the idea.
You could wrap this test in an RFC-enabled ABAP function and call that from your Personas script button. Use the return value from that RFC to decide if attachments exist or not and how the script should respond. Details for how to write such an RFC and call it from a Personas script are in this blog: Calling RFCs from a Personas script.
Like I said, this isn't straightforward and perhaps Personas scripting should include an active/inactive test in addition to the exists/doesn't exist test. Until then, however, there is a way if you don't mind a bit of ABAP programming.

  • Open Pages doc from server by two persons !!!

    Hi,
We have noticed that you can open a pages doc from a Apple MAcOS X Server from two diffrent persons, what wil result in not saving any data. Normal you CAN'T open a file that s already open ... !! This is a really big risk .. ?
What to do about this .. ?

This is a flaw that has existed since version 1 of Pages. My solution is to work locally and save globally (locked). It is a pain, I know, but it keeps multiple people from attempting to work on the same file at one time.

  • One person on one computer adding multiple electronic IDs or signatures to one document

I recently created a simple form in Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.  It has several places for signatures.  I sent along with the form the Adobe user guide instructions for creating electronic IDs and signatures.  However, in several instances, our executives have given their administrative assistants permission to sign for them.  The assistants are also required to add their own signatures.  Apparently, when they click on any signature field, their bosses' signatures come up.  Can someone tell me how one person can create multiple electronic signatures and be able to select from among them in order to fill out one of these forms?

When a user is signing a form, the digital certificates that are installed (in Acrobat) on the computer being used to sign the PDF will be available to be used to create the signature.  If only the "bosses" certificate is on the machine, this will be the only on available.  Make sure all certificate that could be used to sign are installed on the machine being used to sign.
This screen shot is from the security settings in Acrobat, it shows multiple certifcates are installed.
And here is the signature dialog with the option to use one of the installed certificates on the machine...
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I manage multiple iCloud accounts for personal iCloud Drive & personal calling?

Yosemite has the ability now to make and receive phone calls as well as to use an iCloud Drive to share documents across devices (similar to DropBox, but as you will see with one major customization flaw).  These are wonderful featurew, however, unless I am following the directions incorrectly my computer with Yosemite has to have the same iCloud account as is used on my iPhone for iMessage (for calling) and for virtually everything else for iCloud Drive (ie there is no way to set-up a separate iCloud account for iCloud Drive).
Now for iMessage I use a private iCloud account, but for the iPhone itself I actually use an iCloud account shared with my family.  Why?  Because when we use a shared iCloud account we can share a number of things here such as:
Location  on Find iPhone.  This works way better than find my friends and also makes it easy for us to lock a device if it's stolen since all of us know how to do this.
Calendar not critical, but allows us to put some family events here
Notes, Very cool as we can share shopping lists which is very helpful when you show up at the grocery and want to know what to get or to Costco etc
Reminders Also very cool as we can create reminders for each other for when we get home or whatever
Files on iCloud Drive Yes there are some files that it would be nice to share and we can do this (ideally there would be multiple accounts for this)
Now I haven't really used iCloud Drive much but you can easily imagine how some documents I might want to share with the family on iCloud while other's I might not.
Now when you switch your Facetime iCloud account to the same as the iPhone that is one private iCloud account shared with an application on another device that uses the same iCloud account.  That is NO PROBLEM.  However, the minute you activate the ability to call phones it requires that you now have the SAME iCloud account in the main computer.  Now BINGO I have a problem as noted above I want to be able to share certain things with other devices.
Does anyone have a solution or workaround?
Otherwise it seems the only thing to suggest is that Apple consider a feature enhancement that allows you to make cell calls from your computer WITHOUT switching the iCloud account to the main account.  For that matter it would be very useful if they could figure out how to partition the iCloud features so that I can decide which iCloud account does what or like DropBox give permissions for certain things and allow the individual users to decide what they want and don't want.
    Thanks.

    Gail,
No you are not being dense, you are just trying to be helpful.  I may not have explained the problem very well.  Setting up a Family iCloud account works great!  However, if that account name is also used for your iMessage, Facetime, and now cellular calls you have an issue with your calls going to the entire family (or worse the thing just not working), your iMessages if multiple phone numbers are trying to use the same icloud account usually get messed up, and their Facetime accounts might end up showing up as you instead of them.  In fact, I think you can't call your family members in this situation and I'm not sure iMessage works very well either.  So what everyone does is create a personal iCloud account for personal features such as iMessage, FaceTime, etc.
Now in theory I could co-opt the Family iCloud account for my calls, but then no one else would be able to use the call feature, because unless I'm mistaken you can't have multiple phone numbers attached to the call Forward and still have them recognize which calls to forward to which phones.    If they don't care for this feature it might work (I'm experimenting now), but I don't think that's what Apple intended.
It is possible to do a switch, which may be what you are suggesting.  This would involve creating a separate profile on the computer that is used for making phone calls.  I would, however, still need to co-opt the iCloud account for just my number and worse I wouldn't be able to make any calls unless I was in that profile.  One of the great advantages of calling from your computer is that you make the call while you are working on something else which is inevitably your work or your personal stuff which is NOT likely to be in the newly created family profile.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I hope this helps you understand either how little I understand of your suggestion or why it doesn't quite meet my needs.

DropBox is good: my personal preference would be for Sugarsync as you can sync any number of nominated folders instead of being limited to a specific DropBox folder. There are more details of both in the page I linked to.
I'll second Roger's recommendation for SugarSync, more flexibility, wider range of supported devices and more free storage than DropBox.

My family has the same Apple ID, which is a problem when we don't have the same data on our products.  Can we have separate Apple IDs for each person?   If so, how can we change it and not lose what we currently have stored on our Ipod Touch/Ipod/Iphone?  I just restored my son'e Itouch and it has Cloud.  Will he delete my husband's contacts (from his Iphone)  if my son deletes contacts on the Ipod Touch?

    Hello Everyone,
I am trying to create a single video clip where my original subject (dancer) is multiplied on the screen many times.  Basically I am trying to create a background video for a dance team and want to make it look like an army of the same person dancing behind them.  Amy guidance would be great!

  • I currently have one iTunes account for my personal iPod Touch and for my work iPhone and iPad.  Can I create a separate account for work and keep my current account for my personal use - on the same computers?

I have an iTunes account for my personal iPod Touch - have had for several years.  When my work provided me with an iPhone and now and iPad 2, they all fall under my personal iTunes account.  Is it possible for me to create a separate account for my work devices and apps, while leaving my personal account intact?  I use both my compter at home and at work to sync occasionally.

A much simpler solution would be to go into Settings > Store and turn off Automatic Downloads

  • HT5622 We family wants to use only one apple ID for all devices ie iMac ( 4 persons sharing desktop), IPads (2nos) how we should be going about sharing same

And how to create separate log in IDs for each person on IMac PCM.
I am first time user of IMac,

iCloud is not designed for multi-user use. If everyone has the same login, then they will all see the same emails, contacts, calendars and so on. If you want them to be separate then everyone needs their own Apple ID and iCloud account. Each separate iCloud account needs to be on a different device or a different user account on your Mac.
You should be aware that any one device can create a maximum of three iCloud accounts, so with more than three you will have to set up remaining accounts on another device - you can do this from iPads so you shouldn't have a problem.

  • I am using my MacBook for person and work purposes.  Will I overload it and cause it to crash? And how can I finance a new one without paying all upfront?

I am afraid that my computer won't be able to hold all of my files for work and personal use. Will it?  And if I get a new notebook strictly for work, how can I finance it without paying all upfront?

It would help to know which one of the 9 different models of MacBook you have. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info (and then System Report if you’re running 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion). When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.
Rather than buying a MacBook Pro to replace your MacBook you can just get a bigger hard drive. You can get a 1tb drive for around $100 and they are easy to replace in a MacBook.

  • Is there a way to automatically calculate a persons' age from their birthda

Using iCal 3.0.5 and address book 4.1.1, following these instructions:
_Displaying birthdays on an iCal calendar_
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=AddressBook/4.1/en/9218.html
Results in an all-day meeting in iCal for each birthday in the address book. It shows the current birthday date, not the year the person was born.
I can add that to the "notes" section in the address book, but that will not automatically be attached to the notes on the calendar event. (or is there an option for that someplace?)
Is there a script or plugin that I can create or write to calculate the age of the birthday person and add that to the note? Or display it in a popup??
I'm very new to this, not afraid of a little coding work. Just need direction.
