Personalization of Search LOV in iPorcurement

Hi,
one of my customer wants to change the LOV in Non-catalog request. When pressing Contract today it says Contract number but we want to change it to Supplier (not id but name). Is that possible with personalizations or does it need customizations.
If it is even possible just let me know and please also how.
Thanks in advance// Lena Kudahl

Hi,
This is possible through iProcurement personalization..
NAVIGATION :IPROCUREMENT HOME PAGE > PERSONALIZE
Personalize field-----------Level(Site/ Organization/ Responsibility)-----------Rendered(Inherit/ True/ False)
Supplier Name-------------Site/ Organization/ Responsibility-------------------- True / True / True
Please try and let us know...

    Hi!
    For existing entries, you can use the SAVE_TEXT function module.
    You just have to pass the right key to the function element.

  • Forms Personalization for an LOV -- Issue

    Dear All,
    I want to restrict the Expenditure Types LOV in the Expenditure Entry screen in Projects Module. I am using forms personalization for this.
    The restriction is done as per Operating Unit.
    The LOV query used by the current system is:
    /* Formatted on 2010/02/04 13:01 (Formatter Plus v4.5.2) */
    SELECT et.expenditure_type, et.unit_of_measure uom, et.cost_rate_flag,
    et.description, et.system_linkage_function system_linkage_function,
    et.system_linkage_m
    FROM pa_expenditure_types_expend_v et, pa_expenditure_types_desc_v dt
    WHERE et.expenditure_type = dt.expenditure_type
    AND :exp_items.expenditure_item_date
    BETWEEN et.expnd_typ_start_date_active
    AND NVL (
    et.expnd_typ_end_date_active,
    :exp_items.expenditure_item_date
    AND :exp_items.expenditure_item_date
    BETWEEN et.sys_link_start_date_active
    AND NVL (
    et.sys_link_end_date_active,
    :exp_items.expenditure_item_date
    AND ( et.system_linkage_function = :GROUPS.system_linkage_function
    OR ( :GROUPS.system_linkage_function = 'ST'
    AND et.system_linkage_function = 'OT'
    AND ( NVL (
    :expenditures.denom_currency_code,
    :expenditures.acct_currency_code

    OR ( :expenditures.denom_currency_code !=
    :expenditures.acct_currency_code
    AND et.cost_rate_flag = 'N'
    ORDER BY et.expenditure_type
    I am adding a DECODE condition to the above query, to make the following modified query:
    /* Formatted on 2010/02/04 13:01 (Formatter Plus v4.5.2) */
    SELECT et.expenditure_type, et.unit_of_measure uom, et.cost_rate_flag,

    ) = :expenditures.acct_currency_code
    OR ( :expenditures.denom_currency_code !=
    :expenditures.acct_currency_code

    I first query above is also getting accepted with a condition like "AND ROWNUM = 1'
    but the 2nd query is throwing errors...
    Please Help.

    This worked..
    Just I don't have to press the Apply Now button.
    Just saved and executed it in form perfectly

  • Searching LOV is not invoking any method

    Hello JHeadstart team:
    I have the following behaviour with my LOVs generated from JHeadstart (10.1.2)
    The "Go" button seems to not invoke anything, just give back the same page, not doing any filter.
    By watching the log window in JDeveloper, seems like no event is invoked.
    Also, I don't see in the generated lov.uix page an event called lovFilter under handlers (should I have one?)
    When the page is invoked from the parent page, I have the following log, and the advancedSearch is being invoked giving me the filter, if I typed something before clicking the flashlight:
    12:01:56 DEBUG (JhsActionServlet) -Setting current HttpServletRequest on jhsUserRoles wrapper object on session to allow EL access to request.isUserInRolefunction

    But nothing happens when clicking "Go". Is it a bug? Do I have any workaround?

    Here goes my workaround. JHeadstart Team, please check if what I'm doing is right. If yes, I believe this is an important correction for future releases:
    Reason:
    The LOV page generated has in the <listOfValues> tag the attribute searchAreaMode="filter".
    The onLovFilter event has the code:
    String searchAreaMode = request.getParameter(SEARCH_AREA_MODE);
    if ("advanced".equals(searchAreaMode))
    onAdvancedSearch(daContext);
    else if ("simple".equals(searchAreaMode))
    onQuickSearch(daContext);
    else
    // if we get here, we are not yet in the LOV page, the user
    // has invoked the page through clicking on the lov icon.
    // we must clear the search text so it is not displayed as search
    // criterium in the lov (searchAttribute is already empty when
    // clicking the lov icon)
    // And onQuickSearch should only execute the query if iterator
    // is not inf find mode. To signal to the onQuickSearch method that
    // this check is needed and to clear the search text, we set a
    // request attribute
    request.setAttribute(LOV_CHECK_FIND_MODE, "true");
    mLog.debug("Lov icon clicked, clear searchText in searchBean");
    onQuickSearch(daContext);
    But this code is setting the LOV_CHECK_FIND_MODE to true when searchArea = "filter", making the onQuickSearch event to set the searchText to null
    I overriden the whole event adding also the
    else if ("filter".equals(searchAreaMode))
    onQuickSearch(daContext);
    and now is working fine.
    In my previous post I mentioned that also the attribute was wrong, but this was my mistake in the ApplicationStructure file.

  • OAF Page Personalize Page to add a new criteria in Advance Search

    Hi All,
    I am new to OAF. I need to add a new criteria (Asset Activity) to the Work Order Advance Search page in EAM module.Asset activity field has to pick from the 'Create Work Order' Form. I can able to identify the CO class associated with this field in the 'Create Work Order' form.
    How to achieve this by personalizing the Work Order Advance Search Page.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi All,
    I have done the following steps.
    1. From the Work Order Advanced Search Page, clicked on Personalize "Advanced Search".
    2. Created a Criteria Item with ID 'AssetActivityAS' and also created a Message Styled Text under this criteria.
    3. Back to the Advanced Search Page, clicked on 'Personalize Page' page in the bottom.
    4. Create an Advanced Search Mappings with ID 'AssetActivityMap' and Results Item as 'WorkOrdersVO.AssetActivity' and Search Item as 'AssetActivityAS'.
    5. But when I click on Apply, it's throwing the following error.

  • ADF Query Search

    What kind of query search is implemented in ADF Query components(ADF Query, ADF Query with Table) ?

    The query component provides the user the ability to perform a query based on a saved search or personalize saved searches. The component displays a search panel with various elements, each of which help the user to accomplish various tasks.
    Elements rendered by the query component
    Search Panel: the panel that encloses all elements rendered by the query component
    Search Header: Spans the entire width of the search panel and used to display a disclosure icon, the label, search mode (toggle button) and saved search (choice list of saved searches). The help (deprecated), info and toolbar facets' content is also displayed in the header.
    Match Type: A radio button group that appears below the search header, it defines whether the search criteria should be treated as an AND search or an OR search. For details on the conjunction operators refer to the QueryDescriptor and ConjunctionCriterion classes.
    Criteria region: A form layout that appears below the Match type, it contains search fields that define the search parameters. For details on search fields refer to the QueryDescriptor model.
    Criterion: A criterion represents a single search field, that comprises of an operator and one or more value fields. For value fields that render LOV components, the autoComplete feature is not enabled unless either of the methods, AttributeCriterion.hasDependentCriterion() or ListOfValuesModel.isAutoCompleteEnabled() return true. This is done to allow the end-user to enter partial values with wild-cards and tab around the search panel without causing the LOV dialog to be launched (everytime they tab-out of the LOV value field).
    Action buttons: The search panel has four action buttons: Search, Reset, Save, and Add Fields. The action buttons appear below the criteria region. They are end-aligned within the search header.
    NOTE: The Add Fields feature is only available in the Advanced mode.

  • Period LOV in GL journal entry from r12

    I am trying to do some customization for the period LOV in GL journal entry form.
    In found the below SQL from the record group of the LOV:
      SELECT period_name,
             start_date,
             end_date,
             period_num,
             period_year
        FROM gl_periods
       WHERE period_set_name = :PARAMETER.period_set_name
         AND period_type = :PARAMETER.accounted_period_type
    ORDER BY period_year DESC, period_num DESC
    Since, I don't know how to get the values for :PARAMETER.period_set_name and :PARAMETER.accounted_period_type ....I ran the SQL
    select * from gl_periods where period_name = 'APR-15'
    in toad to find values for period_set_name and values and period_type and then ran the main SQL in toad but it returned lot of records ~500.
    But, in the application PERIOD LOV just displays open periods.  I am wondering if you can tell me how it works.
    I checked to form to make sure there is no existing personalization for PERIOD LOV.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I am pasting my comments next to yours :
    These are the issues that needs to be resolved:
    • Depreciated balance are over stated in Fixed Assets and needs to be adjusted to reflect what is in GL. => I wasn't sure how this was was possible, since I  assumed that your Asset depreciation journals in GL were being fed from FA. So if depreciation was thought to be incorrect in FA, its corresponding balance in GL should've been incorrect as well. But I guess that's not the case because your other questions imply that some of these assets were acquired and their might have been some conversion activity involved.
    • Fixed Assets mass additions are selecting GL accounts that should not be selected. We need to know how to change the criteria for selection. +=> Check the Asset Clearing and CIP clearing accounts on your asset categories+
    Later:
    • We need to learn the proper way to convert assets we acquired from acquisition into our Oracle Fixed Assets system, so that depreciation start at the time we acquire the assets. => That is correct, you could change your original date placed in service to the acquisition date as part of conversion and if you have the correct prorate convention, they should depreciate the way you want it to.

  • Using af:query to search documents inside UCM

    Hello everybody!
    I have already posted this question on the [WebCenter forum|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2181706&stqc=true] , but I think it's really something that concerns both WebCenter and UCM, so I'm posting it here too.
    I'm working on a project that requires the use of the <af:query> component, along with all it's advanced capabilities (custom filtering, personalization, saved searches, etc.), to search documents stored in UCM. The suite is 11g.
    From what I have discovered so far, <af:query> supports only database searches through ADF Business Components out-of-the-box. You can create your own custom bindings for this UI component, but it seems to be a very complex task.
    As UCM stores its documents on an Oracle Database, I could create the Business Components mapping to the tables on this database directly, and it seems to be the simplest solution. But the fact that UCM exposes all its content and operations as Idoc Services, I wonder if tying the application to the content management database directly is not a mistake.
    Any suggestions here? What would be the best integration technique in this case?
    Thanks in advance.
    Tomy

    Tim,
    Many thanks for your quick response!
    You are absolutely right about these drawbacks, but I'm not still convinced that RIDC (which I'm already familiar with) is the productive way to go, because:
    1) Understanding the DB seems to be much easier than understanding <af:query> component's extensibility mechanisms, since documentation here is also incomplete.
    2) Yes, if the schema changes, the code fails. But how many times will that happen? Besides, compatilibity problems arise all the time, even when we are sitting behind APIs. Anyway, it is a risk that I am aware of.
    3) The documents to be searched are public, so no authorization problem here.
    Looking at the "UCM side" of the solution, I completely agree with you. But there's a user interface challenge on the other hand.

I did som Customize of LOV using form personalization its all working fine. But now when i am creating a Record Group by making slight change in query used by oracle For LOV. When i try to paste the query in Argument tab is not allowing..
    Note :
    I used to same query which i mentioned in Previous Post.

  • ADF BC LOV: creating a new LOV entry in-the-fly

    Hi all
    I have LOV enabled ViewObject attribute, which is actually a foreign key to the another, master table, as usual.
    Now, user searches LOV values, and decides that he need a new entry in the master table, which should to be assigned to the LOV enabled attribute.
    So, as part of creating current (detail) record (in the same transaction), I need to provide ability to create a new master record (in the af:popup for example), whose primary key after that automatically becomes value of LOV enabled attribute (and appears in the LOV, after clicking oh the search icon)
    Both detail ViewObject and master ViewObject are part of the same Application module
    How to do that ? Any example ?

    Thanks for the reply. I am running jDeveloper 11g Version 2.
    I tried the Bind Variable approach as well. I would love to use the code mentioned above, but where would I put it? Where can you put code that gets called before the page is generated?
    I tried using the task flow to set the Bind variable between the createInsert and the page view. The method to set the bind variable was never called. I generated the necessary java code for the setter on the view object (and client interface) and placed a debug break point in the setter method just to make sure.

  • Autocomplete to Combobox, where is the LOV...

    Apologies for the title of the post...
    I am hoping I am just missing some minor item, and a push in the right direction will get me working again.
    A few years back, most likely under Apex 4.0, I started using Jquery - Autocomplete for looking up employee names, hostnames, etc. This used some Javascript that someone had posted (don't recall who), and it worked pretty well. I would add a stanza like this to the page def (to be run after the page loads). The X02 passed some extra info to the on demand procedure to help with the search.
    $("#P28_REQUESTOR").autocomplete('APEX', {
                    apexProcess: 'PERSON_SEARCH_ACTIVE',
                    width: 600, multiple: false,
                    x02: 'Hostmaster:Owner Ok',
                    minChars: 3, selectFirst: false,
                    formatItem: function(row, i, max, term) {
                            if  ( row[1] > 0 )
                                return row[0]+" "+row[2]+" "+row[3];
                             return row[0]},
                    max: 100,
                    cacheLength: 1
       $("#P28_REQUESTOR").result(function(event, data, formatted) {
             $("#P28_REQUESTOR_ID").val(data[1]); });The Person Seach Active on demand procedure was something like: (Note - some details have been left out to give a better example - in the end, it doesn't matter at all)
    declare
       target_name  varchar2(255);
       scope_id    varchar2(16);
    BEGIN
       OWA_UTIL.mime_header ('text/html', FALSE);
       HTP.p ('Cache-Control: no-cache');
       HTP.p ('Pragma: no-cache');
       OWA_UTIL.http_header_close;
       target_name :=  wwv_flow.g_x01;
       scope_id := wwv_flow.g_x02;
       Simon.Apex_People_Select.Trace('On Demand called for ' ||Target_Name || '/' || scope_id);
       FOR c IN (SELECT search_name,display_name,result_id
                   from table
                 (Simon.HM_Network_Maint.search_network(scope_id, Target_Name)))
       LOOP
             HTP.p(c.search_name ||
                   '|' || c.result_id ||
                   '|' || c.display_name );
       END LOOP;
    END;The g_x01 value is what the user is typing into the text box - once they hit three characters, it gets sent to Oracle for processing via the on demand procedure. The g_x02 (and 03, 04,..) are additional parameters - perhaps from a parent LOV. General concept with the returned data is the first element is the text to be searched, the second is the actual value (typically an integer - primary key), and the third value is what ends up in the text box once a value is selected (the searching value often has additional identifying info.)
    This approach worked pretty well, although it did not play well with cascading LOVs. But once I upgraded to Apex 4.2, I started hitting other issues with jQuery version differences, and some odd failures. To make matters worse, the original developer of the Javascript module, abandoned it - was not doing additional work with it.
    Combobox
    I did NOT want to re-invent the wheel, and it seemed to be a much better approach to move into PlugIn world - ideally using a plugin that someone ELSE wrote and was maintaining. I looked at the LOV Friendly Autocomplete plug in - and even installed it a few places - and discovered that it did not play well with my earlier autocomplete code.
    My concern with using the LOV Friendly Autocomplete - is that I didn't know how to provide any of the "Target Name" search info to the LOV (since that is what is being typed by the user at the time).
    I also started looking at the Combobox plug in - which seemed even closer with Lazy Loading=Yes (I also liked the ability to add new items on the fly) - but I was not sure how to provide the "Target Name" info the the Pipelined function that generates the list of values.
    I want to get rid of all of my old Autocomplete javascript and move to one (or more) plugins - (Which is why the details above don't matter, just trying to provide some background)
    Is this a good direction (Combobox or LOVFA)? How/Where do I connect my search (lov generation)?
    Edited by: Jon Finke on Jan 9, 2013 5:52 PM

    I've found the LOV (list of values from Forms) but I've
    notice that the search functionality is missing.
    (I'm talking about the "drop as " button LOV option on a form in JClient for ADF from "Data Control Palette"
    Best regards,
    Lucian

  • Changing max row display in personalization of particular transaction type

    Hi,
    Is there any way to change the Maximum number of visible rows to be displayed in personalization of search result for a particular transaction type?
    Thanks.

  • Personalize Button Missing

    Hi Experts,
    We have a strange issue, we have unchecked all the fields in personalize in Search master agreement and after saving, the personalize button disappeared. Please find the screenshot.
    How to recover the Personalize button?
    Thanks,
    Kushagra A

    Hi Kushagra
    Please use Below query and just delete the personalization view of
    the user you want to remove.
    SELECT <%RESULTS%> FROM <%SCHEMA%>.ODP_ODP_QUERY_SAVED_RESULT T1 JOIN
    <%SCHEMA%>.FCI_QUERY_DEFINITION T2 ON T1.DISPLAY_NAME=T2.UNIQUE_DOC_NAME JOIN
    <%SCHEMA%>.FCI_QUERY_GROUP T3 ON T1.QUERY_GRP_OBJECT_ID = T3.OBJECTID WHERE
    T1.CONTEXTID=<%CONTEXT(odp.query.savedresult)%> AND T1.CONTEXTID=T2.CONTEXTID <%ORDERBY%>
    I hope your problem would be resolved.
    Let me know if you have any concerns
    Thanks,
    Raj.
