Personalization - People Enter & Maintain

Dear All,
I was trying to personalize and Hided the Others tab in people enter and maintain button but after hiding Other the last tab (Hijra Date) is not working.
HRMS Responsibility --> Enter & Maintain --> People screen --> others tab (R12.1.1)
Not able to Hide that iam getting "FRM-40105 : Unable to resolve connection to item"
please do the needful

What are the step you are following ?
Just create a personalization as follows:
Tab Condition >
Trigger Event : when-new-form-instance
Tab Action >
seq = 1
Type = Property
Object_type = Tab Page
Target Object = REGION_LIST.OTH
Property Name = DISPLAYED
Value = FALSE
Save and reopen the form. Just check if it works.

Change the underlying taskflow.
In the form function parameters, you can find the taskflow name for the WORKFLOW parameter.
Make a copy of the seeded taskflow and add/remove nodes as you wich.
4 nodes in a taskflow can be checked to appear as a button, if you have more nodes linked to the form, they will appear under the other button.
This is configuration, no customization or personalization!

Hi,
How can I let people enter they own contact phone number in from 0105 i.t?
I`ve added 0105 i.t. in IMG-> .. Homepage->Personal Information->Define Active I.T, but it did not change the portal ESS page. What else do I have to set?
ps: I dont need phone number in address.

People Enter and Maintain Template

Hi
We are using form Configurator to build a new custom template by taking the form the seeded template, we were able to add the SIT and EIT.
We like to know is it possible for us to add the Element entry field in the template,

Yes..Last we upgraded our people management to the most recent release but even now we are not having the element entries.
thanks for the suggesting for using User hook..I've not done user hooks before..if you could just provide some hint or refer me some metalink note for user hooks it would be great..I'll also explore something quick on this and keep this forum posted

How can we copy personalization from one to an othere resp/function

guys,
As we use people and maintain function to maintain employee information, in this function we have made personalization and working fine, but after restricting function which is appearing on others button like (absence, qualification, previous employer) etc, then we need to create task flow node and configure with new function as copy people function.however, the personalization which was attached People window one is working but new function of people window have without personalization.
So therefore i want to copy all this previous function personalization into new function,
Could you please advice to achive this.

Just to clarify what you're after, can you confirm that these assumptions are correct:
1) You're not talking about OA Framework personalization on any SSHR page
2) You are referring to the Combined Person and Assignment Form (PERWSHRG) under *HRMS Manager > People > Enter & Maintain
3) You're not talking about Forms Personalization (Help > Diagnostics > Custom Code > Personalize)
4) You are talking about custom Task Flow definitions
Do you want to copy the Task Flows and Upload? You can use a command like this to upload/download task flows. This is an example of downloading/uploading task flow nodes:
1) Submit Processes and Reports > Download HRMS Taskflows
2) Run this FNDLOAD command:
FNDLOAD apps/<apps_pw> 0 Y DOWNLOAD $PER_TOP/patch/115/import/hrwfunit.lct nav_units.ldt HR_NAVIGATION_UNITS
3) Upload:
FNDLOAD apps/<apps_pw> 0 Y UPLOAD $PER_TOP/patch/115/import/hrwfunit.lct nav_units.ldt
If you simply want your copied Function to use the same Task Flow just check it's got the same Form Parameters as the original function definition.
If this doesn't help, please clarify your requirement further.

Custom SIT

Dear All,
I have created a SIT in UAE loclization for People - Enter & Maintain > Special Information. its working perfectlly with all his segments (as per KFF). Now same SIT I want to bring in Employee Self Service.
These steps i followed :
1. Find which menu is attached to your responsibility
2. Find the your menu and check for special information (Function)
3. Query the seeded special information type function and create a custom function with same properties of seeded function but with same changes
4. Copy and paste the type from seeded
5. Copy and paste the parameters for you custom function and do a little change. Paste ur function in highlighted place.
6. Do the same changes for Web HTML as well.
7. Add the custom function under this menu (HR_GLOBAL_SS_FUNCTIONS_CUSTOM)
8. Add the function again in the menu that you using in your responsibility
Now SIT is appearing in functions list , its opening without any error, but the SEGMENTS ARE NOT COMING IN SELF SERVICE.

Hi,
Make sure you perform the following steps to configure the SIT in SSHR:
1. On the SIT page click on this link Personalize "Special Information Types" on top of any of the SIT tables.
2. Click on the personalize "pen" image for the row "Flex: Key flex for Sit"
3. In the page that follows one of the rows is "Segment List". This is where you personalize to show the SITs that you do want.
Say, you have 3 SITs in your page A, B, C with corresponding segment names a1, a2, a3 for A, b1, b2, b3 for B and c1, c2, c3 for C and you want to hide B. In the segment list text box, enter the segment list for the other two only "A|a1|a2|a3||C|c1|c2|c3".
In this string, "A" is the internal context Code of SIT A, not the Title.
The segments a1|a2|a3 represent the segment's Name, not the Column.
Example: COST_ALLOCATION|Proportion|Location|Classification|Account|Cost Center|Product Line|Sub-Account|Minor Location|Inter-Location||EXPATRIATE_INFORMATION|Expat Indicator|Tax Service|Host Country|Assignment Start Date|Return Date|Host Salary|Host Currency
4. Click the Apply button.
5. Click the link Return to Application (bottom left of screen). You should now only see the SITs you specified.
6. Click on the Add button to enter the SIT. You will see the segments for the first SIT even if it was hidden. The next steps take care of that situation.
7. Click on the link Personalize "Special Information" from with the Add page.
8. Again, click on the personalize "pen" image for the row "Flex: Key flex for Sit"
9. In the page that follows, enter the exact same string used in Step 3 into the "Segment List" row again. Click the Apply button.
10. Click the link Return to Application (bottom left of screen). You should now have the restricted view of SITs on all your pages.

I am getting the above error when i am trying to change the Assignment Category field of
an employee from Junior Staff to Senior Staff.
Navigation People> Enter & Maintain> (B)Assignment.
Kindly assist me to resolve this error.
Plz note there is a promotion that is suppose to be given to some employees in our company as of
01-APR-2010 so i had to open the closed payroll periods and do the changes. I managed to change for all
the 9 employees but 1 employee's assignment is giving me an error as follows :
FRM-40735 POST- UPDATE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA- 01403
The error displays after i try to save the changes made to the Assignment Category from Junior Staff to Senior Staff.
NB: i have also tried to switch off the custom code...but its giving me same error.
Also the element links have been defined for employment category on the links window.
please help!!

i am trying to change the employee assignment category from Junior to Senior. so when i am updating the assignment details on the assignment screen (Navigation is People >Enter & Maintain> Assignment) and trying to save, the system gives error on the status bar of the application as follows:
FRM-40735 POST- UPDATE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA- 01403
NB: Error is appearing on the Assignment screen.

Hi,
Did you switch off the custom code and try doing the same transaction?
Switching off custom code will help you to take this diagnosis further and you can create a SR with Oracle.

Extended Controller is not working for SalaryCorrectPG.xml page

Dear All,
I have a problem with customisation in Oracle's seeded page in HRMS Module.
The page navigation is as follows:
Login--->Home Page---->Access Payroll Manager Responsibility------>people--->Enter & Maintain--->search for an employee------>click on Assignment button---->Click on Salary button--->Salary details page will open----->Click on correct button of the salary page.
Now I have extended the SalaryCorrectVO in the salary correct page under a custom directory (but structure is same as the seeded one)
and Created one attribute in the SalaryCorrectVO which is showing multiplied value of FTE Salary and FTEFactor in the page.
Now my concern is in the page there are three fileds(Amount Change, Change %,FTE Salary) which are editable. PPR event is fired when any value
changes in these 3 fields. Now my extended attribute (xxSalaryCorrectVO) is depending on the 3rd field's value i.e FTE Salary. So after page load when these 3 field's
value changes the FTESalary field's value is also changing but my extended attribute's value is not changing (XxfteSalary) .
So I need to update the controller of that page under where the PPR event is catched. So to update PPR event part I have extended the controller
SalaryCorrectCO class and write the follwoing code in the extended controller and put the controller in the custom directory.But whenever i put the
extended controller in the path the Salary Correct page is throwing 'null pointer exception' when the page loads itself. Please help...........

I am using UK HRMS Manager responsibility. Medical Tabed region is not available in the people form. How can i enable that Medical tabed region. Is there any rpofile option to enable the same ?
2.
One more query, which is the better way to capture the training info "whether in the Qualification screen (People/ enter & maintain/ others / qualification / Training tabed region) or SITs or DFFs"
Requirement is client wants to have the fields like From date, To date, Training Type, Training title, Institute, Fee, Per Diem and Total cost.They want to have the report like this. So where do i need to store this information to develop that report ?
3.
We are using one segment for POsition FF. that is position title. Client doesn't want to use more than one segment.
Now the requirement is they also want to have position number, Reference Indicator and position grade (there are two types of grades i.e: Salary grade and position grade....salary grade wil be used in the assignment form)
Where should i get these three fields whether in the position description form or assignment form (I am thinking to enable DDF in the assignment screen..Addl Assignment Details) ..
Plssss give me your suggessions for above 3 queries.

Need to attach my custom find form to the torch found in the EBS

I have a custom find form
AS found in for example "human resources vision operations -------> people------> enter & maintain"
it shows find screen then when i finish the find screen it send me to the main form , then while i'm in the main form there is torch found in the application under the menu word on the upper left where it brings the find screen again
wht i want that i need to attach my custom find screen to this torch

Hi , thx alot i went through it & applied it as i wrote this following code "APP_FIND.QUERY_FIND('MAIN_WIN','PARAM_WIN','PARMS_BLOCK');" in the QUERY_FIND trigger & it works fine , but i face a problem that if i make insert or any action on the master form then i press the torch , i get an error first (the error that it shows it when no forms attached to it ) then it displays the find form ..... so how can i fix this error?

Missing Headings on New Responsibility

In People: Enter & Maintain: Assignment: Others: Extra Information, I have various headings under Type.
I have set up a new responsibility with read-only access to some of the information in People: Enter and Maintain. From the Assignment screen, all I have given access to is this Extra Information screen, however, it does not display any headings under Type?!
Can anybody give me any pointers as to why?

Hi Hussein,
In VIS instance I instaled all the localization products, but in CRP I only installed Global Localization & afterwards applied the UAE localization seperately & ran hrglobal.dev patch but now the forms for UAE hrms are diff for both CRP & VIS. Alternate name & additional information tab are missing from uae localization forms in crp instance.
AE HRMS> People>enter & maintain>find person> new.
Aso in CRP there is responsibilty with the name "UAE HRMS manager" & in VIS its with the name "AE HRMS manager". Really getting confused.
