Hi:
Is anyone running the Personalization server in a clustered enviroment.
Thank You

Hi David,
Our developers and QA have run it in a clustered environment when we
certified the WLCS 2.0.1 release for clustering, but perhaps someone in the
field would like to share their experiences?

    hello there,
I am a new user of Weblogic commerce suite 2.0.
WE want to develop a portal by using above mentioned S/W. We want to get news from Reuters(which is XML data) and want to show it on our page. For this purpose do we need a XML parser or WLCS has in built support for this ????

You can mix CMP and BMP beans. You could deploy the various
personalization server related beans as bmp and then use CMP for the
    components.

    Hi,
What I would like to do is the deployment with MS SQL Server with cmp.
But I think it isn't possible because for the personalization server there isn't
the -bmp- version of the jars, if you check the weblogic-cmp.properties and
weblogic-bmp.properties for the personalization server are deployed the same
    jars.
I've made some research and find out that the jars are the same and that the
beans of usermanagemet are always bmp.

  • Multiple call managers and clusters sharing one application server

    Hi
I need to program my application such that it can be shared by multiple call managers and clusters. That is, I can only have one application server, and as a result I need to tell my application from which call manager / cluster this "request" is coming from.
My question is how do we do that? do we have access to some parameters / variables, similar to "#DEVICENAME#", which can be used to pass the call manager identity to the application?
    TIA

Use multiple instances of your application with different URIs (assuming the instances will not have to talk to each other), then, when configuring the service on each cluster, simply reference the specific URI of the application instance for that cluster. eg: Using Tomcat to host the PhoneMessenger application for Cluster1 and Cluster2, Deploy the same application twice: PhoneMessengerForCluster1 and PhoneMessengerForCluster2. The service URL on Cluster1 might be: http://app_server/PhoneMessengerForCluster1/servlet/PhoneMessenger , and for Cluster2 it could be http://app_server/PhoneMessengerForCluster2/servlet/PhoneMessenger

I have tried it ,but the way the portals works, the IIS server have no file

  • Server 2012 Clustered Hosts - How can I place a Hyper-V Guest in the DMZ?

I have 3 server 2012 hyper v clustered hosts. I've been recently asked to create a VM where external parties will have local admin rights. I've been resisting things for a variety of IMO valid security reasons. What I'm trying to understand is if it would
be possible to build a guest VM that was not part of our domain and put in our firewalls DMZ zone. In this way these folks could be local admins but there's be no connection with the internal network.
In a single host environment if I'm understand things correctly I'd create a external type virtual switch, connect it to a specific physical network card on my host and then connect that card to my switch's DMZ port. But my environment is clustered... does
that mean I'd designate a physical network card on all 3 hosts, connect them to all the same named external virtual switch and plug all 3 in to DMZ ports on my firewall? Could I also instead of plugging all 3 in to DMZ ports on my firewall plug all 3 into
some little rinky dink 4 port gigabit switch and then plug that in to my firewall's dmz port?

    Hi,
When your guest vm using the external vswitch, it can be considered as the physical host, therefore it has the physical network features, in the DMZ zone we often create the
decided subnet for the security reason. Therefore the decide NIC is needed, it will used for the Hyper-V host VLAN settings.
When considering Hyper-V for server consolidation in a DMZ it is recommended not to run VMs of vastly differing trust levels on the same physical host in production environments
(i.e. do not consolidate all DMZ boxes on one physical host).
Instead, the recommendation is to consolidate all the front-end boxes on one physical server and do the same for the back-end, depending on the workloads.

  • WSS security and clustering  in SOA Suite 11g

We are calling one composite from another as a reference. Both are on the same clustered domain.
We are using AIA WSDLs so there is a default WSS username password token as policy.
While on the single server domain, we do not need to pass the credentials since request was going on the same Weblogic server and it was running fine.
But when we moved to the clustered domain, we changed the endpoints in composites to an external hardware load balancer and now it needs the sercurity credentials because the request is coming via the load balancer running on the different machine.
    I have two queries:
    1. Is there a way we can skip external load balancer while calling composites within the same clustered domain and still be able to route the requests to all managed servers instead of only one? (may be there is a way we can provide multuple URLs in the composite somehow or any other setting on cluster which would enable us to send all the requests to a common hostname which will route it to multiple managed servers in round robin)
    2. If above is not possible then we will have to use the external load balancer, in which case I need to set username password tokens while calling different composites. I need help in configuring this. It would be nice if anyone can provide me a link to a sample may be.
    Thanks

In 11g, Oracle WSM Agent has been integrated into Oracle WebLogic Server. Please refer below link for more details -

  • P13N Server and App Server on separate systems - strange ports opened

    Hi -
We have a configuration using WebLogic Personalization Server 3.1.1 on one
server and WebLogic Application Server 5.1 w/Service Pack 6 on another
server. What we've seen with our firewall configuration is that it appears
there are high-number random ports opened occasionally from the App Server
to the P13N Server, which d not appear to be related to connection attempts
(ex: port 42100). The only communication that we know should be happening
between the two systems are T3-based JNDI lookups, LDAP lookup/update
requests, and SQL queries. My questions, then, are as follows:
              1) In handling JNDI requests, are there any callbacks that can occur between
the two servers in this configuration on a different port?
              2) When separating the P13N Server and App Server, are there any "private"
ports opened between the two systems for management? As far as I know, the
App Server should simply view the P13N Server as another client, but the
firewall log would indicate that something is going on related to this.
If anyone has a similar config and can provide some info related to
potentially unseen port connections, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

  • How to Perform Forced Manual Failover of Availability Group (SQL Server) and WSFC (Windows Server Failover Cluster)

I have a scenario with the three nodes with server 2012 standard, each running an instance of SQL Server 2012 enterprise, participate in a

If the nodes in the primary data center are unavailable due to data center outage. Then how I can able to access node in the WSFC (Windows Server Failover Cluster) in the secondary disaster recovery data center automatically with some script.

Just to be clear, the WLS 6.0 software downloaded from the web site is
the full product and supports clustering, in-memory replication, etc.
The evaluation license packaged with the software does not provide keys
to enable these features. To evaluate these features, you need to
contact your BEA sales person to get a license to turn these features
              on.

  • Mixing BE6000 UCS Server and "normal" UCS server in the same deployment

    Hello,
I have been handed a project which has one high density BE6000 UCS server and a separate UCS C220 M3 server. The latter server was included to host a MediaSense call recording system but this will only use 2 of the available 8 vCPUs on the UCS C220 M3 server.
The total number of users is 200.
I want to implement a resilient system and so would like deploy two servers in a cluster for each of the following applications:
    CUCM 10.5
    Unity Connection 10.5
    IM & Presence 10.5
As well as these applications there will be UCCX 10.6 and Cisco Unified Attendant Console Advanced (10.5) but these will be deployed as single servers.
Looking at the UCS servers they have capacity for me to split the CUCM/CUC/IMP clusters between them.
I cannot see any technical reason why this will not work but do not want to be caught by any Cisco support policies.
If I were to implement the system in this way would there be any issues with the deployment or getting support from TAC.
    The separate UCS C220 M3 server has 8 x 8GB RAM (64 total) and 8 x 300GB HDD plus a quad Ethernet card.

James first of all I am not sure I understand your query in detail. Do you mean you have two UCS220 M3 servers? and one of them is currently running BE6000?
Having said that, the key here is to carefully plan your deployment against the capacity of the servers you have,.
Eg..Deploying 200 Users, using the ff OVA
UCS 220 M3 server 1: (using default TRC ie 8vCPU with 8GB per vCPU)
    Publisher (2500 cucm OVA): 1vCPU (6GB RAM), 80GB HD
    IMP-Publisher (1,000 OVA) :1vCPU(2GB RAM), 80GB HD
    CUC-publisher (1,000 users OVA) :2vCPU(6GB)--NB 1vCPU is reserved for ESXI, 160GB HD
    UCCX-Master: (300 agent OVA): 2 vCPU (8GB) and 292GB HDD
With this placement you have a total of 22GB RAM and 612HDD used up
