Personalize link not appearing in Portal

Hello Gurus
We had installed EP 7.0 sometime back but I have observed today that the poersonalize link is not appearing for a user that I created. Can someone please tell me how to correct this?

Hi,
You need to assign the role eu_role to the user and relogin. This role will assign that link to the user.

Why new Spacer Item cretaed through personalization does not appear in SSHR

A Space Item created through Self Service Personalization Does Not Appear in Self Service HRMS Page.
Responsibility : Employee Self-Service
Click on "Personal Information".
Navigate to : Personal Details Region
Click on : "Personalize Basic Details" hyperlink.
In the "Personalize Region : Basic Details" page that opens, in the
Personalize Structure Region : "Complete View" option button is enabled.
In the Style column choose the Value : Default Single Column
Click on "Go" button.
Corresponding to : Default Single Column: Basic Details, Click on "Create Item" icon.
In the "Create Item" page that opens, choose : Level: Function: Personal Information
Item Style : Spacer
ID : Vishu
Admin Personaliation : True
Height : 30
Width : 10
Click on "Apply" button.
Click on "Return to Application".
Simulated in CELALNX10 and crm-au-r12 instance but in both the instances the Spacer items is not appearing.
Does the information specified in Note # 236618.1 - OA Framework Personalization and Extensibility Guide: Version 5.7+
under the Section : Create/Update View Page
is related to this?

Check that you have specified the HEIGHT and WIDTH properties of the spacer!
Also, you have created an item, but make sure that it is RENDERED=TRUE at the personalisation level for your responsibility.
It is good prectice to create an item and render it FALSE. Then go to the specific personalisation level you require and set RENDER=TRUE.
Also, there is a better document than the one you refer to. Try looking at MetaLink document id 268969.1 - Oracle Framework Personalization Guide (OA Framework 11.5.10).

Go to Content administration -> Portal content-> Content provided by sap -> End user content->Standard portal users -> Worksets-> Portal personalization to the role of the user
You can also assign eu_role role to that user to enable the personalize link in masthead but this brings iviews too in the content area.

Approval links not appearing in approver's outlook mail box

Friends,
I am facing a problem with the approval mails of shopping carts to approvers. The approval links in the outlook mails are not appearing -
Error is :
Document contains errors. Log on to the system to process the document
- Approval or rejection via e-mail not possible
The shopping cart has been approved by 1 approver and awaiting approval by the next approver , who receives the approval mail but the approve/reject link is not appearing in the mail.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hi,
Check whether the deafult printer has been mainatined for that approver user and also the FORWARD WORKITEM attribute has been checked in the org structure in PPOMA_BBP.
if you are using program RBBP_NOTIFICATION_OFFAPP to generate offline approval email.. if yes then select checkboxes HTML text and approval links.

Changes made in Console not appearing on portal until restart.

When I make any change using the Console, such as changing the title of a channel, that change does not appear on the Portal unless I restart it. Does anyone have any advice?

The exceptions indicate that there is profile service errors which could have happend when it was trying to fetch those attributes.
What version of portal are you using ?, are you running a multi server instance ?, if so there is a possibility that the profile cache could be out of sync between the two instances. Generally making profile changes would necessitate the need to logout and log back and only when you change ldap auth information or property file changes you would need to make server restarts ..

Download link not appearing SOLUTION.

I was very frustrated in not being able to download app world on my storm. After playing around with it a bunch I realized I had my BlackBerry Browser set to id as firefox.

Hi Peter,
check the masthead par file....and enable the personalize link in the par file....
then deploye it again to the potal server
and add this par file to the standard user role under the content provided by sap....
now log off and log in again.......

Switch to flash player beta link not appearing

sir i have a problem relating to watching youtube video
As on opening any youtube video, the link of "switch to flash player beta" does not appearing after a reset of my phone
It flash player also does not appearing in software update. (Nokia 5530 xpress music)

Flash Player 12.0.0.47 (Mac OS X)
Safari and IE are BOTH doing this. Don't know why, but it started with the FP 12 update.

Hi Nikhil,
When you assign the eu_role to all users , then both home tab and
personalise become visible, that is the default behaviour,
To hide the home workset, Content Admin> Portal Content>Portal User> Standard Portal User> Standard Portal User role
Right click the home workset and then change either of the property
like entry point or make it invivsible in navigation.

Brading Image Not appearing in Portal Logon But appearing in /NWA /U

Hello Gurus ,
I am stuck up in a situation where in while doing the branding , I am able to see the branding image and text in
http://<SERVER>:<PORT>/NWA
http://<SERVER>:<PORT>/cms
http://<SERVER>:<PORT>/useradmin
But when I click on http://<SERVER>:<PORT>/IRJ
The red cross apears on the top woth no image being there . I am confused since what I did was changed the SAP stndard image name to branding-image1.jpg and Put My Image as branding-image.jpg .
this I did in both the folders - com.sap.portal.runtime.logon / layout
and com.sap.security.core.admin / layout
No changes were done in Visual Admin since the name of image is same as provided by SAP .
The worry part is if I click ln the Logon Page and check the properties : it shows
http://<Server>/irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.runtime.logon/layout/branding-image.jpg
But when I go to http:/SERVER:PORT/NWA and see the image there properly and check the property of Image by right click :
it shows : http://XXXX/logon/layout/branding-image.jpg.
Now can someone tell . Why is there a mismatch ? Bcoz that is the reason I am not able to see the POrtal Branding Image .(In Visual admin we set the propeties as layout/BRANDING-IMAGE.jpg .. any connection there ??)...

The path in IRJ for images comes as :

while in NWA

As you told me I added the file extension here now .jpg and .gif But no difference it maked .
I think the link here is that in Visual Admin it enters as layout/branding-image.jpg
Can I change this to Path as appearing in IRJ :
irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.runtime.logon/layout/branding-image.jpg
beacuse the layout file as shown is prefixed with a root ... If someone can point to the root of that I can go prefix with my Root folder and Give exact path like irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.runtime.logon/layout/branding-image.jpg ...
And Yes there are no other servers / Its a single Instance , no Cluster wide instances here .

ESS Travel links not appearing (EHP4)

Hi there,
We are on EhP4 and trying to implement travel management.
Currently we are only seeing the following links:
Travel Information
Route planning
My travel Profile
Personalize data
Switch personal number
Unlock personal number
We want to see the other links as well like the create travel request, delete travel request etc
I have forwarded the travel consultant the PCD links for the pages and he has added the links to the back- end of the FI system but the links still does not apprear on the portal.
Additional notes:
For ESS we are using the HR "box" and for the travel management we are using the FI" box". We are pionting the travel iview to the FI "box". To test this the Travel consultant did some some config and it is showing up on the portal under My travel profile.
Please can you assist me?
What Iu2019m I missing?

Are you using the standard framework page?
Is the user mapping to an employee?
Travel web roles are assing to the user?
The employee has travel priviliges?
If the answer is yes to all of them.
Check on the the services table of the home page framework, and add the services that you need, you can remove the travel proxy_class and put a new one with your requirements.

Butons not appearing in portal

Hi All ,
I have an issue where i create a meeting request and then it goes for approval to the manager , but in this case the manager is not able to see the approve and reject button in the screen , whereas it appears in the back end , please suggest what setting are to be in place to appear those two buttons to click on, i am using the task which is copied form the standard, i have checked the transaction SWNWIEX as well to see if the manager has no authorization to it , but he has so ideally he should be able to see the approve/reject button in the portal , but not visible ,please can you assist.

Ask you EP guy to do XML re-registartion in portal. Look in R/3 if its working same workitem it calls in portal in the form of XML. That XML is not updated or some thing would have got corrupted. For that ask your EP guy to upload the new XML data to EP for your task.
