Personalize Table ALV POWL in the Portal Travel

Dear Expert.
I am working Travel for ESS with BP 1.41. In this moment I need hide and show a columns of the application FITV_POWL_TRIPS.
[Image|http://img547.imageshack.us/img547/112/travel.jpg]
I made this personalization using Ctrl+Right Clic : And this work fine in the client DEV. However we not can transport the personalization between client of portal because SAP with Netweaver 701 not allow transport personalization. We write to SAP and this was the response.
I tested using Web Dynpro Configuration Editor  But I don't know if this is posible using this.
Or How can show this columns using source code?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Carmen.

Dear Experts.
I created un enhacement implicit for the method IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_FIELD_CATALOG using
SE24 =>CL_FITV_POWL_FEEDER_TRIPS.
In the client QAS the changes are taked, but in the portal DEV not. In this client(DEV) I have created personalization for hide columns of the POWL.
My question is:
How can Cleaning Up Personalization created in the client portal DEV?
I check the following link:
/people/daniel.wroblewski/blog/2006/06/17/cleaning-up-personalization
But this not work, and not delete the personalization in Dev for my user.
Thanks
Thanks in advance ,

How to medium and small subclasses Taxonomy table are shown on the Portal it? Currently only display subcategories

From within OEM it doesnt look possible. User defined metrics (UDM) can only return number or a string. The alertlog fetch is done via alertlogViewer.pl while being passed a couple of parameters.
OEM does have a preliminary/rough api available at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/oem/emx/index.html but I havent seen anyone make use of it yet.
If you use just a web connection then you will probably run into security issues as a web server can usually only view/access stuff under their htmldoc dir.
Seems like some non-OEM very custom code is what you seek..

  • Page title duplicating in the grid ALV table header when run on portal

    Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue with the ALV display. My object contains three screens.
The first screen is a selection screen.
The second one is an overview screen which displays the data in a Grid ALV table corresponding to the "supplier id" entered in the first screen.
The grid ALV has a header(contains name, location etc) and a table to display data.
I have created a SAP Transaction iView on the portal for this object.
The issue here is that when I run this in ABAP, everything is fine.
But when I preview it on the portal, the first screen is displayed correctly but in the second screen the title of the page is duplicated in the table header and the header that is supposed to display the name, location etc. is replaced by the duplicated title.
Please suggest an alternative or solution for this.

  • Users details not getting populated in the portal tables..

    Hi,
We have implemented single sign on (SSO) and we do not create users in the portal as user/pwd come from OID.
Now becoz of this the portal tables are not getting populated.I require that all the users of the OID to be populated in the portal tables. How can I do it.I depserately require it.

You can use the function wwsec_api.activate_portal_user to create the shadow records in the portal repository.

  • Cannot view personalize link in the portal header

I cannot see the personalize link in the portal header of the BI portal. I have already verified the two things below:
    1) personalize link is enabled in masthead iview through portal content->portal users->standard portal users->default frame work page-> select masthead-> open its properties->enable *Show Link in Masthead: Personalize *
    2) The end user role is assigned under content administration->portal content->content provided by sap->end user content->standard portal users->worksets->portal personalization.
What else can i check, please help. I need this for end users to carry out user mapping. Or any other way they can carry out user mapping ?
    thanks

    Hi Balajee,
He can see the masthead property Show link in Masthead: Personalize so I doubt you need to make any changes to the PAR file for masthead.
personalize link is enabled in masthead iview through portal content->portal users->standard portal users->default frame work page-> select masthead-> open its properties->enable *Show Link in Masthead: Personalize *

  • Creating Custom Tables in the Portal Database

Is there a way to create custom tables in the portal database in EP6?
    Thanks,
    Melissa

    Thanks for responding, Nick.
We want to be able to display informational messages on the logon page before the user logs in.  Currently we make changes to several ASP files in EP5 to display the messages.  We want to be able to give privileged users the ability to enter the message, enter start/end date, etc.  We want to do this in EP6 as well.

  • Hw to find the tables in the Portal Database

    Hello,
I'm new to this Portals. I would like to know where the database tables stored in Portal Database. We are using the Oracle as the database. Can you please tell me where can I view the database tables.
    thnx in advance
    cheers
    murali

    Hi Murali,
they are stored in a database which has the same name as your instance, for example J2E. KMC tables (most of them - if not all - starting with "KMC_") are stored within the same database as the portal tables are (this wasn't the case for EP5 and EP6 SP2 on 6.20).
Anyhow, you shouldn't touch or trying to access these tables directly. Two reasons for this: (a) there are APIs for (almost) everything which can be accessed from the DB tables, even if sometimes not documented. Anyhow, the DB schema isn't documented, too, so you should choose the "upper layer"; (b) the DB schema is subject to change without notice (and this is also done regulary); whereas the released (=documented) APIs are stable and the non-released are at least quite stable, too.
    Hope it helps

  • How Do I customize the Portal Personalization?

    Hi,
    Version: EP6 SP2 Patch2 HF2.
I am trying to customize the Portal Personalization dialog available on the click of the "Personalize" link in the portal masthead.
    - I need to remove some of the links available in the Detailed Navigation like "Portal Theme", "User Mapping (Remote iViews)", etc.
    - Even if I remove the corresponding pages from the Portal Personalization workset, how do I revert back?
If anyone of you has any ideas about this, please guide me.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sagar.

    Hi Moiz,
Edit the eu_role. There, under the Portal Personalization workset, remove the pages that you don't want, and test the desired display in a new session. That's it.

    Sagar

  • What is the name of the Portal user detail Table?

    Hi.
    I using Oracle Portal9iAS 9.0.2.1
1)When administrator register a new user, what is the table that the data is being stored?
2)When a user want to login in the Portal, he/she will be directed to the SSO Login Page?..
-What is the name of the page and where is it been stored?
-I want to customize it to add my company's logo..how can i do that?
    Thanks.

    Rushdan,
User provisioning information in 9.0.2 is not stored in the portal environment. All user/group information is held in OID only ACL information is held in the Portal repository itself.
There is instructions on creating custom login pages both on Portalcenter.oracle.com and (for java examples) in th e9iAS security guide.

  • ABAP dump when running an ALV report in a portal

    Hi,
I have an ABAP report created in SAP R/3 4.7. Am using the ALV function module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY to display the output. The programs runs correctly when run in R/3 using the SAP GUI.
When the report is run in the portal, I get a runtime error 'MESSAGE_TYPE_X'.
Please let me know if anybody has faced such issues.
I checked the OSS note 702732 which talks about increasing the threshold value of the start parameter. But this is not agreed by the BASIS team.
    Thanks,
    Best regards,
    Ajith
The ST22 error log is as follows:
    What happened?
The current application program detected a situation which really
should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).
    What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
    error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
    date.
    Error analysis

    How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
    use the following search criteria:
    "MESSAGE_TYPE_X" C
    "SAPLAWRT" or "LAWRTU22"
    "ITS_CHECK_ALV_DATA_SIZE"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the
    following documents to SAP:
    1. A hard copy print describing the problem.
To obtain this, select the "Print" function on the current screen.
    2. A suitable hardcopy prinout of the system log.
To obtain this, call the system log with Transaction SM21
and select the "Print" function to print out the relevant
       part.
    3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
       supply the source code.
To do this, you can either use the "PRINT" command in the editor or
print the programs using the report RSINCL00.
    4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.
    Information on where terminated
The termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLAWRT" in
    "ITS_CHECK_ALV_DATA_SIZE".
The main program was "Z_BW_RECON_INV_RPT ".
The termination occurred in line 25 of the source code of the (Include)

    This is a Memory problem.
System is allocated with a Max Memory of 50 MB,(see the dump code, in the last it is hardcoded in the std code)
The data of your report is coming around 83 MB.
Restrict your selection criteria of the Object and run the same report and see. it will work.

  • ALV grid on the view keeping stale data

    Hi All,
I am creating an application in  WDA in which we had decided to simply use tablui component. But later due to the nature of the requirements I decided to switch from that to ALV grid ( mainly for sorting and exporting to excel functionality advantages).
There is a button which when clicked populates the data in the alv grid. ( there is a RFC which exports an internal table with data ) and i use the bind_table method to fill the ALV context node with the data. The Node has been mapped properly from component controller to the interface controller. And the code for populating the grid is written in the Action of the button.
But my problem is after first population of the data in the alv( which works perfectly alright), if i chnage the selection criteria and again click the button my internal table (which is passed in the bind_table method)  is getting loaded with new set of data( i know that since i saw the internal table contents by debugging) but the alv grid on the screen is not refelecting the same.
Ive tried using lo_nd_ctx_vn_alv->invalidate( ). here n there but doesnt work at all. In fact if invalidate is used then the ALV grid doesnt populate even once.
The code is as follows :
    the node name is ctx_vn_alv.
the data comes from rfc and is recieved in it_alv .
data lo_nd_ctx_vn_alv type ref to if_wd_context_node.
data lo_el_ctx_vn_alv type ref to if_wd_context_element.
        data ls_ctx_vn_alv type wd_this->element_ctx_vn_alv.
    *   navigate from <CONTEXT> to <CTX_VN_ALV> via lead selection
    lo_nd_ctx_vn_alv = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_ctx_vn_alv ).
        lo_el_ctx_vn_alv = lo_nd_ctx_vn_alv->get_element(  ).
        lo_nd_ctx_vn_alv->bind_table( it_alv ).

    Hi Bhaumik,
I think no need to write this code to get data using service call..
Just call Execute method in component controller from your view controller.
For example you have a button GETDATA, in on action of this button just call method. (use code wizard ) or
        DATA lo_COMPONENTCONTROLLER TYPE REF TO IG_COMPONENTCONTROLLER .
        lo_COMPONENTCONTROLLER =   wd_this->get_componentcontroller_ctr( ).
        lo_componentcontroller->execute_<YOUR EXECUTE METHOD NAME>.
Check this example for more details..

  • A new application built on a schema not in the portal database

I want to create a new application using the create "new application" function of the "build" tab of Portal.
I want this application to use a schema not in the Portal Database. The schema the application has to use belongs to a different database residing on the same machine the Portal database resides.
But the Portal "Application Name and Schema" form does allow me to choose a schema outside the Oracle Portal database.
I run Oracle Portal Version: 3.0.7.6.2 on WNT.
    Thank for any suggestion.

    Maurizio
Carol's right. Create a schema in the local database then create a db link to the remote db connecting as that schema user (or some other of your choice). In my experience this has to be a public db link.
I run a portal application against a database on another sun box. There's some hassles, but it works ok mostly.
The db link connects as the user to the remote database and I grant privileges in the remote db to that db link user. I also have public synonyms in the portal database that point to the objects in the remote db. I have public synonyms in the remote database that sort out the schema of the objects required.
This sounds complicated and I've explained it in a rush, but if you sit down and work it through it's not so bad. You may find a better way, but after several trials I've got a setup that works.
Also, when I create a form I always refer only to the synonym - never to a schema.object. That way you can adjust the synonym easily without rewriting your report.
I always make reports from sql for the reason that you can change the sql, though I always refer to my synonym never to schema.object.
Session info doesn't travel well to the remote instance. I've had to build a work-around to get my table triggers in the remote instance to figure out who the portal user is because wwctx_api.get_user returns public.
I've been unable to directly call procedures in the remote database from portal components, but I've got around that by creating wrapper procedures in the local database.
It hasn't been a trivial exercise, but it does work.

  • ALV report using the field catalog

which is the quickest way to generate an ALV report using the field catalog merge.  without needing to build the field catalog manually .
is it easier to create a structure and passe it in the field catalog merge .  if yes can i have an example plzzzz

    hI
Supports the creation of the field catalog for the ALV function modules
based either on a structure or table defined in the ABAP Data
    Dictionary, or a program-internal table.
The program-internal table must either be in a TOP Include or its
Include must be specified explicitly in the interface.
The variant based on a program-internal table should only be used for
rapid prototyping since the following restrictions apply:
o Performance is affected since the code of the table definition must
always be read and interpreted at runtime.
o Dictionary references are only considered if the keywords LIKE or
INCLUDE STRUCTURE (not TYPE) are used.
If the field catalog contains more than 90 fields, the first 90 fields
are output in the list by default whereas the remaining fields are only
    available in the field selection.
If the field catalog is passed with values, they are merged with the
    'automatically' found information.
Below is an example ABAP program which will populate a simple internal table(it_ekpo) with data and
display it using the basic ALV grid functionality(including column total). The example details the main
sections of coding required to implement the ALV grid functionality:
                             Data declaration

  • Report taking too much time in the portal

    Hi freiends,
we have developed a report on the ods,and we publish the same on the portal.
the problem is when the users are executing the report at the same time it is taking too much time.because of this the perfoemance is very poor.
is there any way to sort out this issue, like can we send the report to the individual user's mail id
so that they can not log in to the portal
or can we create the same report on the cube.
what could be the main difference if the report made on the cube or ods?
    please help me
    thanks in advance

    Hi
Try this to improve performance of query
    Find the query Run-time
where to find the query Run-time ?
    557870 'FAQ BW Query Performance'
130696 - Performance trace in BW
    This info may be helpful.
    General tips
    Using aggregates and compression.
Using less and complex cell definitions if possible.
    1. Avoid using too many nav. attr
    2. Avoid RKF and CKF
    3. Many chars in row.
    By using T-codes ST03 or ST03N
Go to transaction ST03 > switch to expert mode > from left side menu > and there in system load history and distribution for a particular day > check query execution time.
    /people/andreas.vogel/blog/2007/04/08/statistical-records-part-4-how-to-read-st03n-datasets-from-db-in-nw2004
    /people/andreas.vogel/blog/2007/03/16/how-to-read-st03n-datasets-from-db
Try table rsddstats to get the statistics
Using cache memory will decrease the loading time of the report.
Run reporting agent at night and sending results to email. This will ensure use of OLAP cache. So later report execution will retrieve the result faster from the OLAP cache.
    Also try
    1. Use different parameters in ST03 to see the two important parameters aggregation ratio and records transferred to F/E to DB selected.
    2. Use the program SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS (Performance of BW infocubes) to see the aggregation ratio for the cube. If the cube does not appear in the list of this report, try to run RSRV checks on the cube and aggregates.
Go to SE38 > Run the program SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS
It will shown dimension Vs Fact tables Size in percent. If you mean speed of queries on a cube as performance metric of cube, measure query runtime.
    3. To check the performance of the aggregates, see the columns valuation and usage in aggregates.
Open the Aggregates...and observe VALUATION and USAGE columns.
"---" sign is the valuation of the aggregate. You can say -3 is the valuation of the aggregate design and usage. ++ means that its compression is good and access is also more (in effect, performance is good). If you check its compression ratio, it must be good. -- means the compression ratio is not so good and access is also not so good (performance is not so good). The more is the positives...more is useful the aggregate and more it satisfies the number of queries. The greater the number of minus signs, the worse the evaluation of the aggregate. The larger the number of plus signs, the better the evaluation of the aggregate.
if "-----" then it means it just an overhead. Aggregate can potentially be deleted and "+++++" means Aggregate is potentially very useful.
In valuation column,if there are more positive sign it means that the aggregate performance is good and it is useful to have this aggregate. But if it has more negative sign it means we need not better use that aggregate.
In usage column,we will come to know how far the aggregate has been used in query.
Thus we can check the performance of the aggregate.

    performance ISSUE related to AGGREGATE
Note 356732 - Performance Tuning for Queries with Aggregates
Note 166433 - Options for finding aggregates (find optimal aggregates for an InfoCube)
    4. Run your query in RSRT and run the query in the debug mode. Select "Display Aggregates Found" and "Do not use cache" in the debug mode. This will tell you if it hit any aggregates while running. If it does not show any aggregates, you might want to redesign your aggregates for the query.
Also your query performance can depend upon criteria and since you have given selection only on one infoprovider...just check if you are selecting huge amount of data in the report
Check for the query read mode in RSRT.(whether its A,X or H)..advisable read mode is X.
    5. In BI 7 statistics need to be activated for ST03 and BI admin cockpit to work.
By implementing BW Statistics Business Content - you need to install, feed data and through ready made reports which for analysis.

You can go to T-Code DB20 which gives you all the performance related information like
    Partitions
    Databases
    Schemas
    Buffer Pools
    Tablespaces etc
use tool RSDDK_CHECK_AGGREGATE in se38 to check for the corrupt aggregates
If aggregates contain incorrect data, you must regenerate them.
202469 - Using aggregate check tool
Note 646402 - Programs for checking aggregates (as of BW 3.0B SP15)
You can find out whether an aggregate is usefull or useless you can find out through a proccess of checking the tables RSDDSTATAGGRDEF*
Run the query in RSRT with statistics execute and come back you will get STATUID... copy this and check in the table...
This gives you exactly which infoobjects it's hitting, if any one of the object is missing it's useless aggregate.
    6
Check SE11 > table RSDDAGGRDIR . You can find the last callup in the table.

  • Multiple ALV Grids on the same window.

    Hi,
Can someone tell me if it's possible to display multiple ALV grids on the same window. If so how is it done. Please note that I am talking about Grid Display and not List Display.
    Regards,

    Hi,
This can be done even i have done a report.
Its very simple create three containers as below.
Just repeat three times if u need to create three containers.
See this sample code using custom container.
