Personalized emails in Mail???

Is there a relatively simple way of sending emails in a 'house' style ie with my logo?
In its simplest form I would like to include a banner along the bottom of each email which will appear in as many other mail clients as possible. and the most complicated version would be a vertical banner to the left as per all my headed paper / invoices etc.
As far as I can tell the Signature section only involves adding simple text...? otherwise I have looked at html creation but this seems a complicated step as I have no html experience...
Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.....?

Indeed images in signatures do seem to work, thanks.
However is there a simple option for external html editing? ie an iWeb equivalent or is it straight to dreamweaver and so on???
The equinux stationary for mail would be ideal if I could personalize it....! Is there a simple html page I could add as stationary???
no. first, stationery and signatures are two different things in Mail. there is some default stationery available by pressing the stationery button in the toolbar of a new message window. However, the default stationery can't be edited (but you can create your own) and you can't use it in replies.
as for editing html signatures there is nothing built in. you can hack it if you want to though. create a dummy signature in mail. then go to the directory /users/username/library/mail/signatures and locate the webarchive with your signature. then make an html file using your favorite html editor. put whatever you need in it. save it and open it in safari. then save it as a webarchive from safari and overwrite the dummy signature you made with thatw ebarchive.
thanks for your help.

I discovered that my cord was bad. I used someone else's cord and then it worked - that's how I was able to determine it was the cord, so I replaced it. (In case someone else has a similar problem.)

  • Sending mail from my personal email domain name.

    Hi,
I'm fairly new to Macs and OSX and can't work out how to configure my mail properly. My mail works fine with my [email protected] email address, connecting to my mac mail and happily sends and receives messages.
I also have my own domain name which I have configured to forward all email to it to my user@mac .com. So far so good, but how can I have the ability to send email from my personal email domain and send it through the mac mail. My domain doesn't have it's own mail server etc.. it just forwards mail.
I would like to be able to have the option to send mail either from my [email protected] or my [email protected]
Hope this makes sense and many thanks in advance.
    Alan

Go to your email settings and remove email integration and then reintegrate the ID again.

  • Sending email using Mail from T-Mobile Hot Spot

I cannot send email messages from a Hot Spot using the Mail program. It says it cannot send using the server smtp.mac.com. This is the first problem I've had with this. Today is my first day using a Hot Spot. Has anyone encountered this same issue? Do I have to change some of the settings?
I tried using the Internet based .Mac account and was able to send messages but not directly from Mail program.

    5. Does T-Mobile provide me with an email account?
T-Mobile does not provide email accounts for its users.
    6. Can I access my personal email account through my T-Mobile HotSpot account?
You can access any web-based email account such as Yahoo.com or Hotmail.com. You can also access corporate email accounts if your employer provides you with a virtual private network (VPN) client and a firewall. T-Mobile strongly recommends that its customers take measures to ensure the security of their wireless connections, such as virtual private networks (VPNs), encryption and firewalls. As with any wireless communication, the T-Mobile HotSpot service is not inherently secure and you should ensure you have adequate security safeguards in place. See the Hotspot Security Statement posted on our website for additional information concerning the security of the service and steps you can take to enhance the security of the service.

  • How do I log into iChat if my iCloud is set up through my personal email?

I have an iCloud account through a personal email address, but when I log into iChat on my Mac it asks me for an AIM, @mac.com, or @me.com address? Help?

    HI,
I have an Apple ID that is a email from an Dial up service I once used.
(actually I can still download mail from this service but cannot send unless I login using Dial up)
When iCloud came out I linked this to iCloud and was given an @me.com ID as well.
Later Apple changed these to @icloud.com and I got one of those as well.
For iTunes, Logging here to post or accessing iCloud in a  Browser I can use anyone of on the three "names" but with one common password.
In Messages or iChat though this Apple ID does not work.
It has to be one of the ones Issued by Apple.
Changes in iChat 6 and the two Messages version in Mountain Lion and Mavericks  that use a Login to Apple as well as AIM to Verify things before AIM is allowed to "read" the Password means the later IDs issued under iCloud will not work in iChat 5 or earlier.
@mac.com names issued under the .Mac service or as "iChat Names" during the MobileMe period will still work in any version.
If you have the @me.com or @icloud.com IDs use those (even if it says @me.com on the setting in iChat)
Add the ID in full to the AIM setting option.
If you don't then Register a name at AIM.

  • ICloud with personal email - Calendar Event Sharing

Calendar event sharing seems to be a pain for a lot of people especially because of the new iCloud and even more so if you are a legacy .Me or .Mac user.
First of all if you are a first time iCloud user and you entered your own personal e-mail address as your AppleID - you will not be able to send calendar events.
Calendar events (created from your computer (iCal or iPhone) to your spouse or whomever) have to be sent by Apple.  If Apple does not have a .mac or .me account associated to your iCloud account it doesn't work.  What happens is you can not invite anyone to events and when someone invites you, instead of the calendar event going into your calendar you get the invite as an e-mail message and you have to manually download the ical request.
BRAND NEW iCLOUD USER BUT CAN'T SEND CALENDAR EVENTS
So if you created an iCloud account from scratch with a personal e-mail address, you must go to your system prefs > iCloud, turn on "Mail & Notes" (even if you are not using iCloud e-mailand are using your own) THEN iCloud will ask you to create a new .me email address!  You have to come up with a new email address and it will be associated with your AppleID.  Then you can turn off the Mail & Notes option and now the calendar can send and accept calendar invites.
.ME OR .MAC USER MIGRATION BUT CAN'T SEND CALENDAR EVENTS
When I migrated from my .me account to iCould everything moved fine.  But I soon came to realize that I no longer needed my .me account anymore.  I had a different AppleID than my .me so I figured, now is a good time to stop using my [email protected] account and switch to my personal AppleID '[email protected]' address.  When I deleted my old iCloud account from my computer and added a new one (with my old original appleID) i was then unable to send calendar events.  I realized that Apple has no way to send on my behalf.  I have no email accout with apple.  That is just because your AppleID is an email address doen not mean that Apple can use it to send and recieve email.  * Your AppleID being your persoanl email address does not mean you have created an email account with apple, it means that you have created a Login ID with apple *  Much the same way that Amazon.com can ask you to login and you enter your personal email address to do so.. In both cases they are just using your email as your ID with their system.  SO, if you create an iCloud account from an AppleID that is your primary email address this means that you will also need a email address with Apple's .me or .mac system to send on your behalf, calendar invites.

Only icloud.com email accounts can be used on icloud now.  No personal domains.  You will have to buy a contract at some web/email provider to set up an account with them.
I very much doubt Apple is going to get into the provider business.

  • Separate Work email from Personal email?

Problem: I want to keep my .mac email account on my main personal MacBookPro when I open the email program Mail in my dock. I work at a company on a mac too and I use Sync to sync up browser bookmarks and calendar (I do not have Mail selected in the sync). I DO NOT want "Mail" to open up on my work computer showing my personal emails. What settings can I edit in the email program Mail on my work computer that will not show or sync those emails? Can I reset the work computer Mail back to it's original state without my personal .mac Mail info in it? I do not use the work computer's Mail program at all. The company uses Lotus Notes. Thanks. Both macs are OS10.4.

Tinkering with the contents of ~/Library/Mail/ is certainly not the right way to solve this problem. You should set up whatever mail account you want to use on the new computer and import the mail stored on the other doing File > Import Mailboxes, choosing Mail for Mac OS X as the data format, and following the instructions.

Hi, thanks for the answer, I did that already. Unfortunatly this doesn't help me at all, as I often forget to check the menu. For me composing the message is writing the text, the subject, the person to who is addressed and than press "send".
I often forget to check the "from", and this is a problem because the software select itself one of the accounts.
Isn't there a way at least to put as a default a blank field instead of one of the accounts? or an account which doesn't work so if I forget to specify the "from" I will be rnotofied that the message can't be sent.
I guess this could be a rather common problem for many people!
    Thanks

  • HOW TO SEND PERSONALIZED EMAILS (WITH SAME MESSAGE) TO ALL ADDRESSES IN THE ADDRESS BOOK - WITH RECIPIENTS SEEING ONLY THEIR NAME BUT NOT WHO ELSE IS GETTING IT

HOW TO SEND PERSONALIZED EMAILS WITH THE SAME MESSAGE, BUT WITH THE INDIVIDUAL RECIPIENT'S NAME... (OR NAME AND THE EMAIL ADDRESS) TO ALL ADDRESSES IN THE ADDRESS BOOK - WITH RECIPIENTS SEEING ONLY THEIR OWN NAME WITHIN THE BODY OF THE MESSAGE TO THEM ?
ALSO, HOW TO ELIMINATE ALL THE OTHER NAMES FROM THE LIST - SO THEY CAN NOT SEE WHO ELSE IS ON THE MAILING LIST, AND WHO ELSE IS GETTING THE SAME MESSAGE?

In the csv file, the column headers must match the the special references in curly brackets.
So you either change the column header in .csv file or the bit in the curly brackets in the Template email.
    To change the column header:
In the example shown below, I wanted to use the first two columns
'First Name', 'Last Name' note the exact spelling.
I also wanted the email address which was in a column called 'Primary Email'.
To make it easier for me, I copied the Primary Email column and inserted it into the third column position and then changed the column header name from 'Primary Email' to 'Email'. (This meant I still had the original column header just in case). see image below.
But you could just change the column header name from 'Primary Email' to 'Email' without moving column about - up to you.
At this point check that all the contacts do have a valid email address.
    then save the file.
If you do not want to edit the .csv file, then you need to edit the template email.
    eg: {{First Name}} {{Last Name}} <{{Email}}>
    change to : {{First Name}} {{Last Name}} <{{Primary Email}}>
If still having an issue, please post two images.
One image needs to show the row of column headers used in .csv file.
The other image needs to show the Template email, so I can see how you have used the curly brackets.

Found solution, Yeay!   No coincidence.  Mountain Lion (osx 10.8, upgraded) is not compatible with Gmail if one has 2-step verification set up on their gmail security settings.
There are 2 options to solving problem
    1)   https://discussions.apple.com/message/19109209#19109209)
This will take you through the process to disable 2-step security feature on gmail security page. Thank You  iPatA.
    2)   http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&ctx=ch_b/0/SmsAuthConfig& answer=185833
This will take you through the process of assigning an "application specific password" to upgraded Mail 6.0 for successful communication between Mail 6.0 Mountain Lion while keeping a 2 step verification process if you prefer.
Thanks for you energy & effort rkaufmann87.
    Sincerely, much appreciated.

  • Don't want personal emails showing in work email inbox (8330 Curve)

I succesfully set up my personal email account (comcast) on my 8330 Curve, but the messages are showing in both the main inbox (work) and also the comcast inbox.  Does anyone know how to get the device to only show them in the personal inbox?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

lol, yea, it's pretty technologically unadvanced, lol.
Some users prefer to hide the main message icon and use only the email-specific folder. They are automatically filtered in that manner. So only your yahoo account email comes to the Yahoo folder, only your Gmail comes to your gmail folder, only your [email protected] email comes to another folder, etc.
You can have up to ten email accounts/addresses on one device/BIS account.
You can do a search of this and all other blackberry-related forums, and I think you will find the answer is... no. Sorry.
Now, that said, a BES account can have a policy pushed to it to have the BES mail moved to a different folder, and BES users can also use Empower BES Inbox... but none of that applies to this situation.

  • Message inbox - how do you seperate work and personal emails w/enterprise activation

I just got a blackberry tour and am switching from a non-blackberry pda.  on the tour all my work emails are flowing directly into the main message inbox but unfortunately so is all the email from my 3 other personal emails.  additionally each of the personal emails has its own inbox but i can't seem to be able to break my work email out into its own inbox at least.  i understand the benefit for some having everything flowing thru one box but i don't like to even think about personal emails while i am trying to work.  with all the spam that still gets thru,  is just awful not being able to seperate them out.
i have been cruising thru this support site and seen some notes about it not being possible to do on other models, and yet possible on older models?  and if you are using enterprise (no) versus pop (yes).
Is it STILL true that this can't be managed so enterprise mail goes into its own folder?   if so,  i have to return this device.  (((
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
FYI -- The issue is irrelevant to the device model.
By default, BES email is put only into the Messages icon/app. BIS emails are placed into their own icons, but they remain contained in the main Messages app. This is how it works by default. It is not redundant -- rather, think of Messages as the catch-all place, with the independent BIS icons being a filter, pulling (from Messages) to them only the messages that pertain to them...but if you act on an email (read, delete, etc.) in one, the change will be reflected in the other.
Your BES Admin can push a BES-only email icon to your device. This solution is free, but must be conducted at the BES server, and will affect all users on that BES server.
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15003
Or you can get the Empower BES Inbox application (if they have a version compatible with your specific BB). This solution costs (per user), but does not require a change at the server, and only affects the one user.
    http://www.getempower.com/Empower_BES_MailBox.php
Neither solution will do anything about Messages -- it will continue to contain everything that it today contains. All they will do is activate an additional icon on your homescreen that is a filter for your BES-only emails. You can hide or move the Messages icon/app somewhere out of the way, but beware -- there are more than just emails that arrive in Messages...there will come a day when you have a new message flag and only by digging through Messages will you be able to find that message.
Hopefully that helps explain how it all works!
    Good luck!

  • HT201320 How to separate my business from personal emails?

I want to separate my business from personal emails. I want to set up another email address. In Linkedin I couldn't use the one I have to set up a company page because it's already associated with my personal Linkedin accoung. Can I create a second email address with my business name? Linkedin wouldn't excepted the .mac.com address. Thanks for your help!

Any new iCloud account will be assigned an @icloud.com address at this point.  If LinkedIn will accept this, you can create a second iCloud account on your device by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud.  However, mail synced with a "secondary" iCloud account like this will only be fetch, as push is only supported in the primary account.
Otherwise, you'll have to set it up using another email provider like Gmail.
