"Personalizing Folder Presentation" does not work how it should

Hi All,
i have a problem with the presentation function for a folder.
With this functionality you can change the presentation of an folder, with predefined layout profiles.
In the settings menu you have the possibility to "Apply Settings to All Subfolders". That works fine.
But when I try to add a new folder, the new folder has the presentation of the Default Profile and not,
as one would think, the presentation of the parent folder.
Is it a SAP bug or a feature?

Hi,
That is how it works. There is no inheritance in the presentation settings. When you check the Apply Settings to All Subfolders it goes through all the subfolders and actively sets the presentation settings for them.
That's why a new folder has no settings set for it.

There is a world of information in these forums if you use the search function near the top right of this page. Just type in NAS for example and you get many threads on the subject (marked with a green checkmark if it solved the question) another example would be Airport Exterme and sound system. Once you formulate your ideas better then specific questions can be addressed one at a time. You may find that a less expensive choice for a server might be a mac mini. Good luck with your project, ask more specific questions and update you systems profile.

This is really unfortunate. I'm sorry that nothing works. I was going to mention holding down the power button and doing a force shutdown but you already did that. You might need to take it into the Apple store. I don't know if booting into safe mode would help. You would have to turn off the machine again, hit the start button and hold down the shift key after you hear the tone, but normally you would let go of the shift key when you see the apple logo and spining wheel. Maybe by holding down the shift key after you here the tone will cause the screen to come back on? The other option is to start up from the 'install disk' if your machine came with one. You would insert the disk, then shut down the computer, and hold down the C key right after hitting the start button.

In 5s, personal hot spot does not work from time to time. Iphone does not get detected on Wi-fi or bluetooth. Restarting or rebooting does not help.

Settings, general, reset and reset network settings. Clear out your network settings and set personal hotspot again.
also avoid special characters making a password. hashtags or open brackets for example doesn't work too good.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Set CLASSPATH does not work, how do I run java.exe?

I have a problem running the java.exe and I'm using Win XP. Here is my problem:
Under the command prompt, I set the path: path = C:\Program Files\Java 2\j2sdk1.4.2_05\bin
Then I created a folder in E:\Hello. I save my Hello.java in that folder, and I compiled it:
javac Hello.java
Now, there is a Hello.class created in that folder.
Then I try to run it: java Hello
but I got an error: "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Hello"
So, I try to set CLASSPATH, however, the problem remains, no matter how hard I try.
Any ideas?

You have a file named "Hello.java".
In that file you have a non-public class which is NOT named "Hello". Instead it is named something like "HelloWorld" or even "hello" (case matters.)

The only part that does work is the genius, and the purchased, but I cannot search for any new apps now have the categories come up. I don't know how else to search for apps, and I don't know how to download this as it was pre installed.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off".
