Personnel Change Requests option missing in MSS

Hi everyone. I hope you can help.
In Manager Self-Service, under the "Team" workset, there should be an iview for Personnel Change Requests:

However, nothing is there; and for that matter, the entire "Services" navigation panel seems to be missing, options like:
Employee Information
Working Time
Competency Management
Etc.
Anyone know why these options might be missing?

Hiding Status column in MSS Status Overview for Personnel Change Requests

Hi,
We have MSS implemented in SAP Portal.
We are using Status Overview for Personnel Change Requests iview for which we have multiple columns displayed with data.
We need to hide Status column in Status Overview for Personnel Change Requests iview for all the users.
Can any body please let me know how it can be done.

Hi Pradeep,
Preview the portal page which you want to edit, in this case status overview in PCR. In the preview press the CTRL-key and right-click on the column that you want to edit. Here, you will be able to perform your customizations like hiding columns, labels etc

Hiding the Personnel Change Requests in MSS

Hi,
In MSS, when the manager clicks on the workset "Create New Personnel Change Request" --> All employees are listed , after selecting an employee --> select form displays all the delivered personnel change requests. We will not be using some of those forms at all. Is it possible to hide these requests. It can be deactivated such that they cannot be opened, but we would ideally like to hide them and do not show the unwanted forms to the users at all...

You can change the validity of the PCR scenario that needs to be hidden, to some period in future/past ie something like 01/01/9999 - 12/31/9999. This entry can be maintained in the view V_WPC_PCR_GROUPS via SM30/31.

MSS menu Personnel Change Request

Hi all,
I have the MSS portal role assigned to me. Problem is my MSS menu only includes Overview and Reports, but need it to also include Attendance, Employee Review, Personnel Change Request, etc. How to I add those menu items under MSS? (mainly concerned about Personnel Change Request at this point).
I've seen a screen shot of another system, and insted of MSS it shows "My Staff", then has the Overview | ... PCR. My Staff is the same as MSS, correct? I just need to know how to get PCR to appear under my MSS menu.

PCR should be available on the Standard MSS role.
Please check with your Portal admin, if PCR workset in made available for your user. Also make sure you have the end user permission and the needed access to use this iview. Hope this helps

Error in Personnel Change Request of MSS

Hi SDN
I have configured ESS and MSS business packages. Everything works fine but when i navigate to Manager Self-Service--> Service Map and click on Create New Personnel Change Request link then a list of employees are displayed and when i select an employee and click on "select form" button then it displays 11 PCR's and when i select any of the PCR's and click on "Edit form" button then the following error is displayed:

Upgrading PCRs (Personnel Change Requests) front end technology

Hi All,
We are currently on Netweaver 7.0 & ECC 6.0 and ESS - MSS Business Package 50.4. We are using JSP Forms on portal front for Personnel Change Requests (PCR's ) where in all the scenarios in the backend are heavily customised. For certain scenarios, where in a huge amount of information is fetched from ECC 6.0 backend system, JSP are performing really bad and the total time taken to display the form is actaully causing a lot of irritation to the end user.
We are planning to propose an upgrade to SAP adobe interactive forms. The prerequisite is that the business wants to reuse all the customised scenarios without any changes and just want to move towards better front end forms.
My questions are:
1. Please list benefits of SAP Adobe interactive forms over JSP forms (performace wise)
2. Issues with SAP Adobe Interactive forms?
3. Any other options available for UI that can be suggested?
All suggestions are welcome. Quick response is appreciated.

Have you tried with WD ABAP. Since your application is dealing with data from backend, I think WD ABAP should suit your purpose. You will have much better handler over the data in this case.

PCR are still available though SAP recommend to use HR forms for newer releases.
From SPRO node help text
Recommendation: Implement Processes to Change Employee Data
Until now, in the portal, a manager used Personnel Change Requests to initiate processes for changing employee data.
Now the new service and form application HR Administrative Services is available for such processes. This application is more flexible and allows you to convert much more complex processes more quickly.
In mySAP ERP 2005, HR Administrative Services and Personnel Change Requests are available in parallel and are supported. In future releases, the standard delivery will concentrate on HR Administrative Services. Personnel Change Requests are available in mySAP ERP 2005 for the last time in the standard delivery.
As the HR Administrative Services are already available with mySAP ERP 2005, we highly recommend that in mySAP ERP 2005 you implement processses for changing employee data using HR Administrative Services.

Personnel Change Request iview is blank

Hi,
I am trying to configure BP fpr MSS 1.0.
I have installed it on our portal server (EP 7.0) and am using ECC 6.0 as my R/3 server.
Now, I have carried out the configurations on the Portal as per this link.

Also, we are able to render PDFs on the ECC server. (ADS settinsg are complete)
However, when i click on the link for Create a Personnel Change Request, I get a blank page.
I am confused as to why this is happenning.Please reply with your suggestions.

I guess it is a permission issue.. bcoz i was also having the same problem.
So you just check the permissions in the sys.admin and make sure that iview is not in the minimized state and visible.

Personnel Change Request And HCMPF.

Hi All,
Please kindly provide me the difference between Personnel Change Request and HCMPF,
Technically, i heard PCR works on java script window and HCMPF on Adobe forms with Webdynpro Environment. (correct me if i'm wrong).
Please update me with other differences, advantages and Disadvantages of the both.
Currently our system is in ECC 5.0, analyzing on implementing PCR or HCMPF.
So, kindly advise me on the difference between these two with its pros and cons.

Hi,
PCR (Pers Chnage Request) is also available in interactive Adobe UI from ECC 5.0, however from ECC 6.0 SAP introduced HCMPF that has more flexibility and can handle more complex sceanrios. SAP recommends (documention exist both in IMG and online help) customers to use HCMPF going forward.
There is some good documentation available on SAP service market place if you have access.
Few of the advantages HCMPF are :
Capability to handle attachments
Allows "Save as draft"
Updates EE's master data in the background mode
Employee also can be included in the process
Search iView provides ability for HR to track the status on form
BI content is available to support reporting
Now in EhP4 HCMPF supports processes in PD (Positions, Org units, Jobs etc)

Unfortunately, you cannot de-bug PCRs.. you can to some extent simulate the same & get into de-bug via the function module ISR_PROCESS_EVENT.

Am trying to configure CHARM in our SolMan system. I referred to the below link for configuration.

I am trying to create a project under tcode: SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
while creating project with in SYSTEM LANDSCAPE tab we can see FOLLOWING
SYSTEMS /\ CENTRAL OBJECTS /\ IMG PROJECTS .
But am unable to see CHANGE REQUESTS tab which should be at last in the above mentioned sequence .
can any 1 tell me why its not there. Do i need to configure anything more to get the CHANGE REQUESTS tab

i had the same problem few weeks ago. I couldn't find the Change request Tab in Solar_project_admin
I fixed it by following : SAP note : 802793
The note explain how to re assign the client to manage change request management.
We folow the note, then the missing tab appear

We are in process of configuring Chage Request Management(Charm).we created a maintenance project and added the ogical component.but unable to activate charm. because the CHANGE REQUEST TAB is missing.
We have followed the steps in SPRO and also followed the NOTE : 903527 except importing the picelist attached but still unable to see the TAB. Our SOlution Manager is at EHP1 sps 2

MSS PCR(Personnel Change Request) Report

Hi Experts,
We have configured MSS successfully, Now the reqirement is that we require a report which keeps the track of all requests generated during MSS PCR, like which request, who requested, approver, status of the request....etc.....
Is there any way out where I can track all these things.

Sorry, Rohit...yes, I understood you are on PCRs and not HCM P&F, but I wanted to mention that functionatlity is in fact there for HCM P&F since it was a big missing part for PCRs. And if you are actually on ECC6, you might want to look into it versus PCRs since PCRs are going the way of the dinosaur.

Is their some reporting off of workflow that could be done as well? I would think that could show who processes a request as well as where they are "held up". Reporting is a big missing part of PCRS, agreed.
