Perspective Warp greyed out

I have anew iMac with 16GB RAM on Mavericks. The Perspective Warp tool is greyed out in the Edit Menu. Why is this Please?

Distort and perspective are greyed out in photoshop cs2

I have placed a photo in a layer and I want to use distort through Edit - Transform, but it is greyed out. I have checked the image I am using and it is saved in RGB 8-bit.
I can scew and warp the picture but I cannot distort it.

What is it I have to do to be able to distort this image that is placed into a layer so that it will fit over a template I am using?

Ok, I think I have sorted it. If I place the image into a new layer and then Rastorize the layer I can then go to Edit - Transform and the Distort and Perspective are now usable.
Phew - that´s got that problem sorted out, now if I could only sort out the economy!

How can i use perspective warp in trial version. its greyed out

i have downloaded trial version to try handson Perspective warp feature but its greyed out. how can i use it?

Puppet Warp, Transform>Perspective, Transform>Warp etc. can work without GPU acceleration (Test by CS6).
But it is necessary to unlock the background layer (double click in the layer panel converts the background
layer into an unlocked Layer0).

Perspective Warp is grayed out

need to use Perspective Warp and it is grayed out... went to preference/ performance - click on use graphic processor then to advanced setting and I cannot change to use Graphic processor

Warp stabilizer premiere analyze button greyed out

Hi Guys
I'm working on some footage in PrCC2014, which is really bad so I thought I'd try the stabilizer for the first real time. I ran the stabilizer and got a message "Frame not analyzed for stabilization; click Analyze". The problem is the analyze button is greyed out. Anyone any thoughts please - should I have something switched on or off?

Perspective Warp still is unavailable after update.

I have the newest version (CC 2014) and Perspective Warp is still not available. It is in the Edit menu, but always greyed out.

Use menu Help>System Info... use its copy button then paste the results here. Also look at it see if Photoshop has detecting your GPU and that OpenGL is enabled...

What are Apple doing to rectify the problem that the Wifi icon is greyed out and you can no longer get onto Wifi!!

Broaden your perspective a bit. There are literally millions of phones out in the world without any issues at all. If you are reading posts on the internet about the ones with issues, then you would be left with the impression that they all have issues. Neither you nor I have data to support the existence of a widespread issue of this type.
Having said that, the only issue that matters is the one at hand; yours. Let's stay focused on that. Help is here and if we can't counsel you toward a software solution, then help will be available elsewhere, but at some cost to you.

Motion 5 Share/Export Buttons Greyed out

Hi, just got Motion 5 on it's own for a project we're doing in FCP7 and for some reason all the "next" or "share" buttons in the export menus are greyed out or disabled. We've messed with a lot of settings but to no avail.
Is there something I'm missing here? There's nothing written on the Motion product page about requiring Compressor or FCP-X to export and I haven't found anyone else online with this issue.

So there's nothing I can do to get this fundamental part of the software working? It's pretty stupid if it can't save.
The only option I have to take this higher is to get Apple Care video and that's $800 for something that appears to be a bug in Motion validating an external framework. From a software design perspective, the only reason that I'd want to grey those buttons is if there were a setting in each dialog that you needed to set before you could export or you were only using a trial version and you wanted to stop people from exporting it or if the dependent framework (e.g. ProApps export manager) wasn't validated in the registry within motion.
If they throw anything else at me like you need FCPX or Compressor or Lion then that's not right either since they had no mention of that on their website when I purchased it.
This is just really frustrating!

Why do I not have perspective warp? I just downloaded the newest version of ps yesterday.

I have the most recent version of photoshop ( Just downloaded it yesterday) and it is definitely up to date but cannot access perspective warp on the edit menu, the words are there in light grey but are not a link to anything. :/

Is Photoshop detecting your GPU and is GPU enabled in your Photoshop's Preference performance section? Does your display adapter have at lease 512MB of Vram? Are you display drivers the latest available? Is there an open document? View screen capture in new tab so you can scale and read it this sits scale image poorly.

Can't launch Perspective Warp

Perspective Warp is grayed out on my edit screen and I can't seem to activate it. I do have the perspective crop tool but there are a number of edit apps that are grayed out and can't be accessed. How do I activate a grayed out edit menu function?

Have downloaded the latest PhotoShop CC but will not allow me to use Perspective Warp, why?

I am trying to use the latest tutorial about Perpective Warp. I have done the most recent download update today but when I go to edit, the Perspective Warp option is grayed out.

Photoshop grays thing out when some condition does not allow it to be use. The condition could be related to the current state of the active document, or related to hardware and software. Like Perspective Warp requires a GPU and may also require some amount of VRAM. Photoshop CC requirements state Video Adapter with GPU and at least 512MB VRAM. Check you Photoshop Preferences.
Photoshop menu Edit>Preferences>Performance GPU must be seen and enabled.

How to un-grey-out "Image - Auto contrast"?

I just opened my first jpg in Photoshop CS5 and tried to use "Image -> Auto contrast" but all of the Auto's (Tone, Contrast, Color) are greyed out. The Image -> Mode is set to "RGB Color". There is only one layer and I tried various combinations of selecting (Command A) and de-selecting (Command D) the image but the Auto's stay grey.
The latest Photoshop CS5 Extended (Version 12.0.2) is running on a Mac Book (Snow Leopard 10.6.6).
I'm reading Peter Bauer's "Photoshop CS5 for Dummies" and Scott Kelby's "Photoshop CS5 Book" but can't find the answer in either. I also searched the forum for "auto contrast greyed out" but got 0 hits.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The whole issue of working non-destructively may be of little importance if you are starting out in Photoshop and are acquainting yourself with the various tools and features, but later on it can become a significant time-saver.
The Photoshop Help offers something on the issue, too (see »Nondestructive editing«).
Basically the target is maintaing pixels content intact and any corrections (both of form and color) editable.
The techniques employed to achieve this include:
• Performing Touch-up (Clone Stamping and Spot Healing) on separate Layers
• using Layer Masks instead of deleting and erasing
• using Adjustment Layers instead of applying an Adjustment directly whenever possible
• performing Transformations, Puppet Warps and Filter applications on Smart Objects
etc.
Anyway, I may have been hasty previously; the Help states (p.136, following similar points for Auto Contrast):
Remove a color cast using Auto Color
Auto Color adjusts the contrast and color of an image by searching the image to identify shadows, midtones, and highlights. By default, Auto Color neutralizes the midtones using a target color of RGB 128 gray and clips the shadows and highlight pixels by 0.5%. You can change these defaults in the Auto Color Correction Options dialog box.
1Do one of the following:
•Click the Levels or Curves icon in the Adjustments panel.
•Choose Layer > New Adjustment Layer and choose either Levels or Curves. Click OK in the New Layer dialog box.
Note: You can also choose Image > Auto Color to apply the adjustment directly to the image layer. Keep in mind that this method discards image information and is automatic. You cannot adjust any of the options in the following steps.
2In the Adjustments panel, Alt-click (Windows) or Option-click (Mac OS) the Auto button.
3Under Algorithms in the Auto Color Correction Options dialog box, select the Find Dark & Light colors option.
4Select the Snap Neutral Midtones option.
5Specify the shadows and highlights that are clipped, and adjust the target color for the midtones.
6Click OK to apply Auto Color.
So the result should be achievable with a Levels or Curves Layer straight out.
