Petition for a little more BB10 love from French Phone carriers
I've been using Iphones for ever, up to Iphone 5. I switched for a Z10 the day it was released in France and I must say I am a very happy switcher. The main driver was the Hub and the keyboard.
But there remains a terrible frustration because French carriers have not activated the Visual Voice Mail functionnality.
So we, french users, remain with a voice mail "from the past".
I've been contacting my carrier (Orange) several times and the answer remains the same: Blackberry does not provide this functionnality.
I thus started a petition on change.org to try to motivate french carriers to work on the activation of the VVM functionnality for BB10.
Please, wether you are french or not, sign the petition, and forward it to as many people as possible.

Looking for a little more info on Playstation 3 on Apple 20" display
Sorry to ask for more info on this. I did find some other threads, but looking for a bit more direction.
First, let me say I have a bunch of old tube TV's and am looking to purchase a Playstation 3. Using Playstation 3 on a tube TV seems kind of stupid, especially when I have a great LCD monitor sitting right on my desktop.
I looked at solution from Elgato. However they said they are not making any more units and when it sells out it is gone. So I am a little weary of purchasing something that may no longer be supported. Their solution does provide video capture and DVR capabilities as well, which I could also use.
Other then that, I am wondering if there are any other solutions that people could recommend. I do plan on buying a LCD or Plasma TV in the near future, but until then, I would like to purchase a Playstation 3. Just looking for any advice of any kind from others. I would if you don't want to spend allot on a 1080p LCD (being more then 2k) The Mitsubishi LT-37131 LCD Flat Panel HDTV ($1,699) . Sony & Samsung both are the same LCD. Mitsubishi is better then Samsung/Sony allot better when used with a computer (it is the only new LCD maker that has a VGA & DVI port just for Computers)

when will there be a select all/delete all option in Emails? I have a large number of emails that come to my phone which i dont want to delete from my outlook mail account (On my PC). However, i want to be able to search, select all and delete these emails from my phone? I do not use ICloud either as it causes issues with my calendars at work.
These features should be a standard as there are plenty of other users out there that are trying to do the same thing and as yet there has been no progress? The email on the iphone is one of the biggest downfalls of the phone, blackberry and android handle them much better, but i dont have an option with my phone at work. Please help??No one here would have any idea when or if such a feature would be introduced until and unless Apple announces it.

The AirPort Express can "join" a wireless network as a client and providing that your printers are compatible, you should be able to print to them. Not all printers are compatible and if you have an all-in-one device, only the print function will work. Fax, scan, copy, maintenance, etc will not work when the device is attached to the AirPort Express USB port.
If you want to connect more than one printer to the AirPort Express, you will need a powered USB hub.
The AirPort Express will not be able to "extend" your wireless network. In other words, it will not do anything to boost your wireless signal.
I would advise you to make sure that you understand the store's return policy in case things do not work out as you hope. -
IPhone use to and from French phones while I'm IN FRANCE.
I will be traveling to France, and I have several friends who live in France. How can I use my iPhone to make/receive calls to and from a FRENCH phone number while I am in France? Or should I just buy a télécarte and use a pay phone? Et oui, je me débrouille assez bien en français, je crois.

Obviously, your French is quite good! The answer to your question lies in the voice & data plan you have, and the roaming costs it implies; buying a pre-paid card is an option, though it's not easy since your iPhone uses a micro-SIM card. You could buy a micro-SIM card alone from one of the main French mobile phone operators and MVNOs, but strangely enough, Orange, who introduced the first iPhone in France, doesn't propose one. Bouygues Télécom or SFR should provide one for you for a few bucks, with or without data plan. Up to you to take a monthly plan if you think you'll come to France often enough, but if you're not going to call home to often, a simple prepaid voice plan should suffice. Should the micro-SIM option not exist, well, a good scissor can do the trick... If your iPhone is not simlocked... Another option yet is to install Skype on your iPhone, buy some credit and call your Gallic friends when you're in the vicinity of a WiFi hotspot.
As the French often say, "il n'y a pas de problème, seulement des solutions"...

I Wish for a little more IQ in AME when dealing with TIFF Sequences !!!
1)
I drop a movie into AME (let us assume a .MOV) called MVI_7899.MOV which I want to convert to a TIFF sequence.
So far so good.
I set my parameters etc and choose an output destination.
I click render
Let us assume that my .MOV has 1800 frames.
AME names my new movie as follows
MVI_78990000
thru to
MVI_78991800
Any other app that I have ever been working with would have the chops to add an "_" (Underscore) character BEFORE adding the sequence number.
I SURE would wish for such in AME>>>>> If NOT already possible.

Also, I think there should be a preference called "Automatically Create Folder for Image Sequences"
This would create a folder with the name of MOV file and put all the sequences inside of it. THat would SAVE time. LOTS.
3)
Also, I think it would be fair to assume that anyone dropping a MOVIE into AME does NOT wish to create ONE tiff image from that whole movie but a TIFF Sequence. Choosing Adobes TIFF presets will NOT tick the "Export as Sequence"Parameter
4) Last but not least
Why on earth is it not possible to drag n drop a tiff sequence folder onto AME. I have to double-click in the source name view and then navigate to the sequence I want to import.
5) Ok LAST wish
When having navigated to a TIFF sequence I cant believe I have to check - Import as sequence - This parameter, in book, should be ticked by default.
At least I know of NO ONE.. Wanting to convert ONE single tiff frame to H264..
Perhaps the guys that make this app could consult a little with folks working with image sequences ;-)
Afterall, if you have a RAID0 system - movies converted to image sequences are going to beat the performance of ANY codec available on the planet currently.

FWIW, several of these issues are already logged internally, and are on the long list of improvements for the next version of AME.
Specific responses to each of your requests:
1) Yep. After Effects does this. AME should, too.
2) You're preaching to the choir here. I'd love to see AME and AE both adopt this feature.
3) I get frustrated by this, too. Export As Sequence is not enabled by default for any of the still formats except DPX. Definitely want to fix this.
4) AME isn't quite smart enough to distinguish a folder of individual TIFF files from a folder containing a TIFF sequence. Same reason that you can't use sequence files as a source in a Watch Folder. Definitely something we want to fix.
5) Yep. After Effects does this. AME should, too.

How long does it take for my iphone to be unlocked from my original carrier
I am trying to get my iphone originally on orange network unlocked, apparently orange have sent the request
But two and a half weeks later I'm still waiting for it to unlock!! Does anybody know how long this process should take?
I connect to iTunes everyday but still no joy.

Delete the Find My Friends app. Don't give anyone your Apple ID password as if they had that, they could use Find My iPhone to track your phone. Don't let social media services (twitter, Facebook, Instagram) have access to your location services.
If you are on an cell phone account that is controlled by someone else (e.g. parents) note that they may be able to avail themselves of carrier services to track your phone. In order to avoid being tracked that way, you would, as Bonanaza888 noted, you'ld need to put your phone in Airplane mode or turn it off. -
All of my info from other phone carried over, but my email doesn't work at all
I have spent too much time trying to get my email to work! Everything else transferred over, but not my email. I can set account up, but cannot receive or send emails. It is totally blank
I guess "other phone" is something that is not an iPhone.
Check the port settings on the email account: Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > [your email account] > [probably "Advanced"] > Server Port
Make sure it's the same as on your previous phone.
Depending on your email provider, there may be another port setting at Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > [your email account] > [outgoing mail server: SMtP] > Primary Server

Dymanic parameter with LOV from command demanding a parameter

I have a problem with creating dynamic parameters. I use different query to form list of values for the main query parameter. Let's say this parameter is manufacturer_name, so I'm selecting distinct manufacturer_name values from some table. But every time I run this report I want report to promt me with parameter (some special tag) for select some filtered manufacturers. But when I create LOV query with parameter (tag), report keeps asking me for this parameter forever and never gets to show parameter promt for the main query with LOV from the first one. Am I doing something wrong or what I want is just not possible?

gemiYou might have given a default value to a main report command level parameter. Go to database expert in main report and edit the command level parameter and remove the default value in it.

How to prevent LOV from displaying duplicates

On this part of their forum one can find compatibility alerts etc. i.e. the first post is called "Mac OS X 10.4.9 Qualified & Pro Tools Launch Error Help" This post is addressing a problem (also confirmed by Apple Support) with the auto update advising users to NOT use the auto update but go and get the combo update from Apple's website. In this particular case PT could face a launch error when having used the 10.4.9 auto update. The issues was not only seen by PT but many other 3rd pty. manufacturers also advised not to use the auto update.
The Digidesign Announcements are very practical and prevents a lot of potential problems.
I think it could help us Logic users help our selves and others if Apple were to make arrangements for the Logic Pro forum to contain something in the nature of what the DUC offers.
I would love to have easy access to something like compatible interfaces, Plug-Ins etc. etc. Fact is that there are quite many Plugs and hardwares which claims to offer Logic compatibility but still ensure Crashes instead of workflow.
Also, digidesign offers something called "Answer Base" it is a document that keeps growing and it is a base of "known Issues" and how to fix

Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Try right next to the router
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Looking for some more voltage love K9N4-SLI
Maybe one of you fine folks can help a brother out on a bios. I have the 1.51 bios for my K9N4 SLI-F board, and the one thing that's holding me back is a little more voltage out of my ram, and possibly a smidge on the north bridge. Is it possible to modify the bios so I can up the ram voltage? I'm running a 5000+ BE and I have plenty of cooling to keep the rig cool. I'm using 2x2gig sticks of GSKill pc6400 F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ and a little more voltage would probably go a long way. Thanks in advance.
