Id like to start a petition for the new firmware update for the zen micro. To make voice/radio recordings record into mp3 and not wave. Wave files are huge and take up alot of space.

You might want to add what the petition is about in the subject, to make it easier for people to know what it's about.

Petition for Zen Micro to have double-click capabil

I would like to submit a petition to have the Zen Micro have double-click capability. We all experience the annoyance of the sensitivity of the touch pad. It seems to response to any single click we do. Now, instead of having a single click, let?s have a double-click. Except for the volume control, let?s have every function, or most functions response with a double click. If we want to play, double click. If we want to go to the menu, double click. If we want to select an option, double click. If we want to select a window in the menu, double click.

What do people think? Any other suggestion regarding this? I hope people sign. I would love this option. I think it would allow me to select tracks, and control volume (among many other things) while the Micro still being in my pocket.

Also, is there a place I should send this to to have Creative read the petition?

It's not so much as making things idiotproof. That's why people put up petitions. It's to make things more convenient that makes the usage easier. It also adds options. People don't have to use it if they don't like. Personally, I like it because you wouldn't hit any button by accident, especially if it's in your pocket.

I rate my songs with the rating system programmed in my Zen, but having ONLY 20 song links defeats the purpose for having quick acces to my favorite songs. I'm no programmer, but I believe it can be easy to remove/replace the 20 song limit and let the owners of a Zen choose the limit. I'm annoyed that I have to remove stars from my favorite songs so new ones can take its place.

As all of you are well aware that the Microphoto does not work with windows 2000 and unlike all the people working in the creative companies not everyone has windows xp not that its any good id still prefer w2k like alot of users out there so why did they come up with the idea to only make the MIcrophoto compatible with windows xp its like some kind of cruel joke i want people to sign the petition as we as customers better then what we have been given

I am creating a petition so that when someone is converting their tracks they can delete from PC music library without deleting from the My Computer music library. (on mediasource, dont know about media explorer) Please Sign like this:Signed

i don't use the creative media source but i like the idea. can we tag tracks as played, delete off the played tracks and keep the non-played? hmm. i think the windows media software tags them as played but i HATE the windows media software. i love the Nomad Explorer and the nomad zen explorer software. i wish i could use it to manage all my mp3s and not just the ones i dump down to the player.

Let's face it. THe creative zen touch needs something to protect it. I found Creative's skin as protecti've but not truly portable. THe other one from vaja just costs too much. I think we should start a petition for iSkin to create a skin.

Its true the Touch could use audible support, a while ago i suggested a similar function, putting a Line-in input on a separate adapter to record to the player, but no such luck.
It seems that Zen Touch, which is a FANTASTIC piece of hardware has been forgotten about, the recent Firmware upgrade has yielded some support back to the Touch. But as many Zen Touch users would probably agree, the support on optional hardware for the Touch has been really limited. I think before support the Zen Touch diminishes, there should be a few more upgrades made available.

Petition: Fix Zen Micro / Napster2Go Firmwa

Just a petition for those many of us suffering from Creative's lack of stable Napster2Go-compatible firmware for the Zen Micro!
Maybe this thread will give us an idea of just how many people have the licensing (or "Playback Error") issues with the Napster2Go service, or at least those that are monitoring this forum. If you are reading this because you have the same problem (but have not registered, as I also was guilty of), please register and make sure you're known!

Ipod cable/accessories for Zen sleek

I don't know why Creative decide to use a new connection for Zen Sleek instead of the standard mini 5 pin USB2 connection.
While looking for a new cable (and a compact car charger) for my new Zen Sleek, I noticed that the new Philips HD MP3 player and all Ipod seem to have the same kind connection.
Have anyone attempted to use Ipod cable on Zen Sleek? It seems that most after market accessories are made for Ipod so it would be very very nice if Zen Sleek uses the same connection. Perhaps I am day dreaming.

OK, don't get caught by this - there's a company that specializes in travel & replacement cables for cell phones, PDAs and MP3 players. Their name is Gomadic, and they have a very slick system - there's a standard USB male on one end and a receptacle like a mini-headphone receptacle on the other. You can get a very wide variety of end-connectors that plug into that receptacle and mate with just about anything you can think of. They claimed to have the connector for the Sleek, and I ordered it. However, when I got it, the end connector was a standard mini-USB male. I called them and they said "oops!" They just found out that Creative put this oddball connector on the Sleek while all the rest of Creative's players use the mini-USB. I can still use the thing for my camera and some other stuff though. They told me to keep it and gave me full credit on my credit card because of the error. So, I guess if you want a free travel connector for any of your kit that uses a mini-USB, order the cable for the Sleek from them before they correct their website!

Hard Cases (water/weatherproof) for Zen Produ

Hello, I hope this post has not been asked. Does anyone make protecti've cases for Zen products? Ipod has several makers of waterproof cases. I just read an Ipod magazine yesterday and did not know that Otterbox makes cases for Ipods. I looked several places but did not find any similar product for Creative products. Why can't Creative li've up to it's name and think "outside the box". Did you know that you can take an Ipod diving or swimming in a pool? Wow, what will Ipod do next? My question is very relevant to where I work, out at sea. Where saltwater and electronics don't mix. My buddy on the same job has an Ipod and is going to get a protecti've case for 50$. I on the other hand have to be very careful not drop my player or get it wet. I'm hoping for some good news on the question.

Look at Peli/Pelican cases.
020 is just right foir the Zen Vision, although you can't seal the case + use the player at the same time i.e. no jack connectors etc.
