Petition: Lyrics Display/Txt Viewer feature for
ATTENTION ZEN OWNERS:
We need this <FONT color=#993399>Lyrics Display/Txt Viewer feature for our <FONT color=#993399>Zen players. We must ask Creative Labs for a <FONT color=#993399>firmware upgrade. It's becoming a popular -no, standard feature among mp3 players, and I think our Zens deserve it. Imagine your Zen players with a txt-viewing capability, it would be quite as good as a PDA (or PalmPad). Creative must have this advantage. We music lovers are not strictly music listeners; we have the urge to sing along (accurately with lyrics) with our songs!
Not that I'm not with Creative, but one good competitor I found for their Zen Micro is <FONT color=#993399>Mpio HD200, with almost the same features and capacity as Zen, except for these advantage features: Direct Encoding, Plug&Play, and its upgradable firmware which includes the Lyrics Display function! And it has a lower price than Zen Micro.
Please help get a firmware upgrade for this feature!

How to retrieve name4 data from backend for display on View Ship-to Address

I need your advise / help:
I added name4 in shiptodetails1.jsp for new ship-to address when ordering. This name4 can be entered, saved to backend and display before submit rder. but when dispaly the created order, the name4 data is not shown on View Ship-to party Address page. Seems address.getName4() is not enough, I need to modify some method to retrieve the data from backend address object. Can anyone guide me what and how to enhance forretrieving name4 data from backend, so it can display on View Ship-to Address?
Any advises / suggestions?

I hope you already found the solution but here some more detail.
I am working on ISA with ECC so I do not have an access to CRM system.
As you are facing problem to retrieve data from back-end while displaying it on order status page you can debug code of class DetailStrategyR3.class.
There is a method fillDocument this method call RFC BAPI_ISAORDER_GETDETAILEDLIST. This RFC actually read Order related data from backend and fill the SalesDocument object. Method fillDocument also call other methods like fillShipTo.
During debug in NWDS you can see address data and check the values of Address object. If Name3 or Name4 and nickName contains no value then you can't get it on JSP page because it is not coming from the RFC.
So I suggest you should first check DetailStrategyR3.class as it is preparing Document for display purpose. When you open any order on orderstatusdetail page this class comes in Action and prepare SalesDocumet with all necessary information including Ship to Address of that order. So If here you do not get value in Name3, Name4 or Nickname then you have to do some custom development

Check shipTo object in "Variable" window while debugging. Here you will get address object and can see all the variable value like FirstName, LastName, Name1, NAme2, Name3...NickName etc..... If no value in Name3, Name4 then you will not get on Page.
I hope this will help you to understand why Name3-Name4-Nickname does not have a Value though you have provided while creating an order.

Display All Marked / Flagged for Follow Up Emails Separately
I was wondering, is there actually a way to display flagged emails in some sort of folder or separate view at least, as it is common within desktop mail applications and any other user interfaces from free email providers like Gmail, Yahoo!, or AOL and the likes?
It's very complicated and not very user friendly to mark an email for follow up, because you need to decide at what point in the future you want to be reminded. When that day arrives and you're not ready to reply yet, you will have to go through each follow up email again and repeat those steps to re-mark them for a later date. And that is really annoying. Or am I missing something here?
Can't I just simply mark my emails, like, star them in order to review them later and to be able to have a look at them from time to time, just like it is possible in other applications or in your browser?
I have noticed that there is an option to star an email within a Gmail account, but I'm not quite convinced that they sync both ways properly anyway. Also, that feature doesn't come with all email services. For example, how would I star an email in my AOL account?
I understand that BlackBerry is not based on IMAP and therefore has its limitations, however, it would be nice if there was another solution for this, or an explanation at least. It's simply impossible to go through hundreds and thousands of emails in order to find a flagged email.
It's already a pain that the emails themselves won't sync (read/unread) with your desktop and other devices, but do you have any advice or workaround to improve the synchronization of flagging or starring?
I have been using BlackBerrys for many years now, and I really still enjoy them, but the fact that it isn't based on IMAP is a big downside and no longer up to date. Times really have changed.
Another thing: When I mark as follow up, the default time always seems to be 5 p.m. -- probably because the calendar day starts at 9 AM and ends at 5 PM by default. I thought changing the "day ends" option would do the trick and also change the default time for the reminder, unfortunately it isn't. Is there another way to change that, or will I have to set the time manually every time?

In the XML grammar, "&" is a special character and must be escaped using the character entity "&amp;".
If you were using standard methods to build XML from Oracle (SQL/XML functions for instance), I'm sure you wouldn't have this error.

Is there a way to display a full calendar popup with time stamp so the users can pick the timestamp from the popup?Date Picker doesn't have this feature. You can use Javascript to achieve the same. But at same time it's highly unrecommended to use javascript with OAF pages.

All Things Being Equal, Is the Apple Display The Best Monitor For A Mac
Let's put price aside for a second....
Is the Apple Display the best monitor to hookup to a MacBook Pro (or any Mac for that matter) because the Apple Display is specifically configured for Macs where other monitors are probably more configured for PCs/Windows? In other words are Apple Displays the best out of the box for your Mac (minimal configuration, maximum clarity and crispness, etc.).
Thanks.It's a very good sRGB monitor. The 30 is outstanding. I still think the 23 is a little sketchy; it seems prone to an issue where for as much as an hour you can just discern a ghost of a window that has been up for a few hours; and there are still sporadic reports of weird color casts and "sparkling" effects that can make it difficult to focus on fine details when you're working. The 20 is very good unless you're in a bright environment, in which case you might find its backlight does not go up enough. The 20 has a certain rarity value right now; it's about the last really good wide-format monitor in its size class, though there are still plenty of good 20 or 21 inch 1600x1200 displays out there.
Bear in mind that because OS X (including, most importantly, Safari) still thinks everything is sRGB, if you get an extended gamut AdobeRGB monitor like the latest 90-series 26 incher from NEC, all the colors in iApps like iPhoto and Safari will come out looking Day-Glo.
The very best monitors out there -- and here we're talking 24-inch monitors that cost $1,200 and up once you consider tax and/or shipping -- will tend to have things like a polarizing filter on the display itself, HDCP support, dual or even triple computer inputs, and 10 or 12 bit color support that enables profiling within the monitor independently of the graphics card on your computer. Of the above features Apple is particularly overdue on implementing HDCP, which Hollywood in its stupidity has made a requirement for HD movies (why they want to enrich monitor manufacturers rather than themselves I don't know), and the polarizing filter thingy, which further improves the blacks and the viewing angle on IPS panels such as the ones Apple uses in its displays.
Every now and then a cheaper one comes along -- DoubleSight's latest 25.5 inch ("26 inch" in name only) display comes to mind -- that fulfills all those attractive specifications but usually has some deficiency or other. The most common aggravating feature of cheaper displays, and this has shown up in forums on the DoubleSight display, is you can't turn the brightness control down far enough for domestic use without resorting to hardware calibration and/or pulling back on the individual RGB sliders, which makes color accuracy a problem. But for a brightly lit office environment, and if you're OK dealing with the (hopefully temporary) OS X issues with wide gamut, the DoubleSight is an attractive HD option.
Now will someone help me decide which of the ACD 20 or 23 causes less eye strain when dealing with text? Thanks in advance. -

I have always been annoyed by not finding the right brightness on my display. It or either to bright or too dark.. BUT I came to the conclusion it is the whites on the display that makes it too bright and my eyes get tired.
I think an excelent new feature for Macs would be to be able to just increase the brightness of DARK colors and have the bright colors increase at 50% rate or something like that.
What do you think?

Brightness of displays from my point of view, and for that matter glare can be very subjective, and hard to please everyone. Your overhead and peripheral lights, as well as the light behind you make a significant effect on the perceived brightness of the display. Anti-glare displays are truer to real life brightness and color than glossy displays. People who may not notice as much difference probably wear glasses or contacts as they add highlighted glare to your vision that isnt' there with unaided sight. People used to viewing glossy photos may prefer glossy displays well. But when it comes to realism, the anti-glare displays are closer to reality.

View Fields Not Getting Displayed in View Set

I have created a new View for Component IUICMDC and assigned it to a ViewSet and on click of a button i need to display this view . The navigation is happening fine but i am not able to see View Fields in it , only ZIUICMDC/AdvSearchVS is getting displayed on top of the page.
View Area is defined and Debugger is stopping in the Do_init method of View which is assigned to ViewSet.

Alok SharmaYou should provide the ability to create rows, you can do it on the table by making the table editable and putting a Add another row or you can choose to add it in a drill down create page.
You can also add a set of new rows initially by creating and inserting rows in the vo in your PR. -
When I open TB, I no longer see any information about the TB account I've used for years. Instead, the main menu shows only "Accounts" -- "Create a new account - Email, Chat, Newsgroups, Feeds". Option: "View settings for this account" is NOT shown.
Also the main menu does NOT show "Email - Read messages, Write a New Message" or "Advanced features", etc..

Create a new transaction Z**** linked to SM30 for that table:
- trx SE93: while creating trx choose transaction with parameter and insert these data:
- TRANSACTION = SM30
- set the flag SKIP INITIAL SCREEN
At the end of screen, section Default Value, if you want to open dialog for updating:
NAME OF SCREEN FIELD VALUE
VIEWNAME <here insert the table name>
UPDATE X
...for displaying:
NAME OF SCREEN FIELD VALUE

I am using a cascaded mapping in my OM. I have a graphical mapping followed by the Java mapping. It is a flat file to IDOC mapping. Everything works fine in Dev but when I transport the same objects to QA, the Operation mapping though it doesn't fail in ESR testing tool, gives the following message and there is no output generated for the same payload which is successfully tested in DEV. Please advise on what could be the possible reasons.

Issue with display of view attributes via page personalization
Hi,
We are having the standard search region whose VO we are extending to display additional columns.
For this we did VO Ext, migrated the code to the instance. We added new columns in the ‘Result Region’ via personalization and mapped the corresponding view attribute to it.
The issue is that, in spite of the mapping being correct, it is trying to display the value of previous view attribute from the same view instance.
Example:
Std Query fetches say Employee Name, Employee Id and we have extended the VO to include say DeptNo, DeptName.Now on doing Personalization for displaying the new fields we are getting Employee Id in DeptNo column and DeptNo in DeptName column.
In short, we can say like, the newly added columns are displaying the values of the previous view attribute columns.
Kindy provide your inputs for resolving this issue.

Is there still any hope to have virtualization feature for my compaq 620 energy star notebook?

it looks like that the motherboard of my compaq 620 energy star notebook doesn't support virtualization technology, even though replace the processor with one with virtualization feature, my notebook still can't have virtualization feature. moreover it is said the CPU socket type of notebook is soldiered to the motherboard, so the processor of notebook can't be replaced. if this is the case, it seems that i can't replace the processor of my notebook.
am i correct? is there still any hope to have virtualization feature for my compaq 620 energy star notebook?

View Solution.The processor can be upgraded; it is socketed. However, virtualization must be implemented in the motherboard and BIOS and without that, upgrading the processor will do no good. Which processor do you have?

See page 120....virtualization is possible on some models but I am going to assume only the models with a Core2 Duo processor. Celeron and Pentium Dual models use a different chipset on the motherboard so even if you put in a Virtualization capable CPU it would not work.
