Phantom EMagic A/26/A62 - How'd this get on my system?

Heya All,
I was rooting through my system, trying to diagnose a Bluetooth hang issue, in System Preferences, I notice a preference item for A 6|2m". I'm in my preferences regularly, this has never been there before. I haven't added any new hardware in the better part of a month. I did some Googling and found it to be an older emagic USB I/O box.
In my rooting, I also found in HD/Library/StartupItems an entry for emagica26a62mFirmwareLoader. Checked in Activity Monitor and it's indeed running. Again, I do not, nor have I ever had this box. I'm wondering how this stuff got on my system (bought new in December, I did a full HD Wipe and reinstall of everything).
My system is a 20" Aluminum iMac, 2.4GHZ Core Duo 2, 4 gigs RAM, 320G HDD. Is it possible this item is related to the built in Audio hardware on the iMac?
I do use an M-Audio MobilePre USB I/O box, but couldn't find a connection between the two. Also, the M-Audio box has it's own firmware loader running, so I doubt the two are connected.
Anyhow, I got rid of the startup item (yeah, I backed it up) and rebooted. Everything seems to be running ok, so I guessit was a phantom device install.?.?.?.?
Anyone ever had something like this happening?

Although you don´t say in your post, I assume you´re running Logic Pro 8 and it sounds as though you´ve taken the option to install the optional hardware drivers.

Everyone who logs into Facebook on my Firefox has this problem however if we use Internet Explorer - facebook looks normal.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause issues like you described.

But from system log file SM21 i have got only the time not date on which it has been shutdown and restart.
And another thing is that 15 dats before Log file data is atomatically deleted, so cant get it back.
Can you provide me is any another solution? i.e by heating perticular T code report come>

did you delete it from your dock or did you delete it completely from the computer
if it has just been removed from your dock all you have to do is go into your application folder and drag the system prefrences icon back to your dock .. if you are running an older version of osx go into finder click applications and find the icon for system prefrences there .. if you have snow lepord you can get the icon in the application folder on the right side of your dock
if it has been deleted completely from the computer use the disks that came with your computer to reinstall it
if your too nervous to do it yourself you can always make an appt with an apple store in your area at the genius bar and they can probably get it back for you

How does this work with multiple systems backing up with time machine

I was wondering as Apple states that this will do multiple time machine backups as in multiple computers, how does this do this? I am assumng that it will require me to partition the srive in the unit as multiple partitions. 1 for each time computer with time machine running.

Do you mean that the backup belonging to each user will be protected by filesystem perms? In other words Alice's backup will be owned by Alice and only readable by her, ditto for the hyperthetical Bill?
I guess in other words, does Time Machine preserve file ownership perms?

What is sparkle and how did it get on my system?

Attempting to empty trash I find a file org.andymatuschak.sparkle.finish-installation.plist which cannot be deleted
"The operation can’t be completed because the item “org.andymatuschak.sparkle.finish-installations.plist” is in use."
I did not install this app and I cannot find it in my finder. Google tells me this is a software update framework developer fo Cocoa.
Is this a legitimate application? Is it part of Maverick installation?
If not, how do I get rid of it? If this process is running, why can't I find it in ps -A?

Sparkle is indeed a legitimate framework used by many developers to allow their applications to be updated from within the application itself. It is not a separate application, not something you can delete since it's part of some application you've installed, and not something you need to worry about. You should be able to release the left-over preference file to you can delete it by logging out of your user account and back in or restarting your Mac.

You can't get in unless you know the password so Now you have to restore the iPad in order to unlock it. You should restore the iPad to the same computer that you sync with so that you can restore your app data and iPad settings. You will probably need to use recovery mode in order to restore the device as well.

That sounds like it's requestion the Find My Mac passcode. If you don't know it, you'll have to take it to a nearby Apple store with proof of purchase/ownership as only they can unlock it for you.

The class doesn't seem to be documented in the normal documentation, but
you can get an overview of the methods by executing
javap weblogic.management.Admin
with weblogic.jar in your classpath.

Download the windows version from the download section of this site and sync your iPhone with the new library created when you installed. Make sure you don't wipe your iPhone in the process. Check article regarding syncing iPhone and transferring content from the phone to your laptop.
