Phantom Touches and other screen control issues

My phone has phantom touches (intermittently screen is taken over, phone seems possessed), google play button only works in landscape, not portrait and Knock On stopped working.  I tried safe mode and all issues still existed.

I'm sorry your phone is not working properly mh119ghr. Have you had a software update lately? Have you had any issues with any of your applications? Any damage to  your device?

The other day I dropped my ipod touch and the screen cracked and my warranty is up how do I get it fixed. Do I buy a screen and bring it to Apple to repair od do I have to repair it. Please help me

Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/faq/
There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". Some places also will sell parts and instructions for doing the repair yourself, but the connectors and parts are delicate and it's easy to cause further damage, so attempt this only if you are confident in your skills.

  • 02R96 and other Yamaha control surfaces - break Learn Assignment?

Can someone throw some light on this:
The 02R96 and other Yamaha control surfaces send out this Active Sensing thing, which is just a real, downright nuisance for all kinds of reasons.
    1) How am I supposed to get plug-in parameter assignments automatically learnt if the 02R96's active sensing keeps jumping in every second? Logic thinks that's the MIDI message I want to assign to my parameter! There doesn't seem to be a way of telling the learn process to ignore what's going on on a certain MIDI port. Result: can't automate my plug-ins. There seems to be no way of doing it.
    2) Another thing about active sensing - you can't get Logic to just shaddup about it if the control surface isn't on. What if I want to keep my 02R96 turned off for some reason? There should be a Disable control surface button or something - anything to prevent having to remove the 02R96 setup entirely from the Logic session! Really not good...any thoughts or insights? (especially on the parameter learning stuff..that's a real show stopper)
    Adrian

The Mackie Control support lets you edit all parameters of instuments and effects plugins. If you don't have a Mackie Control, you can also use John Pitcairn's LCXmu, which acts as a virtual Logic Control translator between your controller and Logic.
I have a Korg microKontrol running with LCXmu, and it's excellent, way better than Logic'a native mK support, and you can access all instrument & plugin parameters, with the names coming up on the mK screens etc.
Have a look at LCXmu at OpusLocus and see whether your hardware is a directly supported device. Even if it isn't, you can still use it, you just have to set up some manual mapping stuff, depending on what buttons etc you have on your controller.
Otherwise, you are back to manually assigning parameters using Logic's controller assignments - but they are buggy.
I have to say that LCXmu has completely solved all controller issues I had using the micoKontrol as a little portable controller. It's ace.

  • Grouping and resizing screen controls

    The manual says this:
    To group screen controls:
1 Select the screen controls you want to group together.
2 Choose Group from the workspace Action menu (or press Command-Option-G).
The screen controls are grouped. Moving one of the grouped controls moves the
others, and resizing one of the grouped controls resizes the others.
However, when I try that and then try to resize a group, only the control that I'm resizing actually resizes. Can someone else try this and then point me to the stupid thing that I'm missing?
yes, all the controls (9 sliders, 8 buttons, 8 knobs) are "merged" before "grouping"
    Thanks,
    Stewart

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).<br />
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.<br />
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.<br />

  • I have the 2nd generation ipod touch and my screen went black and wont do anything what could be wrong?

i realy want it to be fixed its my life

    Have you try to:
    > Charge your iPod?
    > Plug it to your computer?
    > Hold the Power button to turn on?
If so and none work, you may need to replace your battery.
    iPod Owners
Your one-year warranty includes replacement coverage for a defective battery. You can extend your coverage to two years from the date of your iPod purchase with the AppleCare Protection Pan for iPod. During the plan’s coverage period, Apple will replace the battery if it drops below 50% of its original capacity. If it is out of warranty, Apple offers a battery replacement for $49 (iPod shuffle), $59 (iPod nano and classic), $79 (iPod touch) plus $6.95 shipping, subject to local tax. Apple disposes of your battery in an environmentally friendly manner.
    Source: http://www.apple.com/batteries/replacements.html
NOTE: If you do get the battery replaced yourself, becareful when removing the screen because there is a special cable connecting to the iPod itself and the screen and its very fragile. If that break, then you also need to replace the screen as well.

  • Develop software for connecting to creative zen touch and other devices not recognized by wind

    hi there,
as a programmer i wonder, is it possible to obtain information of how to connect to usb-connected creative device (which is not recognized automatically by windows, as the zen touch) and how to communicate with it's is there any documentation about that available to "non-creative" ;-) developers?
the idea is to create a plugin (e.g. for musikcube) that enables the programm to access the files on the device.
i know there are third party companies that do provide software for connecting to e.g. zen touch, but i do not think that they have figured out every little bit by themselves, have they?
    greetings and thanks a lot
    asdf

    Try this:
Download <a href='http://www.delldjsite.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=444' target=_blank>this[/url] file. Extract it to whatever folder you like. Inside that folder run the file fixup.cmd. A DOS window will open up and start display messages on what its doing, when its done it will instruct you to remove the device from Device Manager and reconnect it.
Try this and see if it works.

  • Internet Explorer (6 and 7) screen refresh issue

    Hi,
I am using Internet Explorer 6 with BI7. When performing any action with a web template displayed within IE6, a blank screen is temporarily shown between performing the action and the screen been re-drawn. For example, swapping characteristics. Or selecting the push-button 'Print Version'. This also happen with IE7 (installed on a test PC).
This behaviour does not happen with Firefox (also installed on a test PC) - Firefox smoothly replaces the current screen with the new navigation state.
Any ideas? Is there a setting in either IE or WAD to stop this happening?  Or is this just one of those IE 'features' that have to be accepted? It is not a good user experience.
    Thanks,
    David
PS don't bother advising that Firefox should be always used - regretfully, that's just not going to happen at this site.
PPS - just tested with IE8 and that works fine, just like Firefox. But that' not going to be installed here for a very long time.....

    Hi Dave,
Each time an action is performed in a web report, the whole page needs to be rendered. This is not different in Firefox or IE6, 7 or 8. The difference is how this rendering of the whole page is handled with the different browsers (or versions).
From an SAP point of view the functionality you are looking for is called 'flicker-free rendering'. This infrastructure makes it possible to refresh parts of an HTML-page without rendering the whole page. According to the functional
enhancement schedule the functionality is included in enhancement package 1. Please have a look at the Enhancement Schedule to find this information:

  • Any Updates on the Kansas (and other areas) Outage Issue?

I got my upgraded phone (LG Extrovert to Droid RAZR M) last night and haven't had service since it was activated.  I am able to access 4G, Wifi, and text, but am unable to make or receive any phone calls at all.  I'm currently located in Emporia, KS, but have heard reports of this being an issue in other parts.  I know that I'm not the only person experiencing this issue but was curious if anyone had an update as to when service might be back up and running?  I'd really like to have an idea of when I can get calls from work again.
    Thanks for the any information.

Well, I am taking about something a little different. Your link refers to what you see on your TV screen. I can get by without mirroring, its the remote i want to work better.
When the 'iPod Dock with Remote' originally came out, a lot of us assumed that the "menu" button would work the same way as the "menu" button on the ipod itself, i.e. it would take you back one level. We also assumed that the volume keys would let you scroll up and down through items in a menu (not as elegant as the scroll wheel, but workable). And that the RWD and FWD buttons would work as they do on the ipod. All of this taken together would give you full operation of your ipod without having to touch it. Adding screen mirroring would be the icing on the cake for the dedicated couch potato.
Unfortunately, the menu button is disabled on the remote when it comes to controlling an ipod... it only works for front row on a mac.
Anyway, a lot of us were hoping this could get resolved through some kind of firmware upgrade to the ipod itself.

  • Needed: clientscript to display current IP and activate screen control

i am searching for an app, automatorworkflow or applescript for the clientcomputer to enable the remote management in systemsettings and prints the ip adress in a big text box. with a double click. need this for helpdesk. anybody knows ? the most time we spend is to told the customer how to setup the mac, that i can connect to him. "Anyone may request permission to control screen" will be enough.
    thanx for watching.

    Hi Tilo.
I have a mother who is with an ISP which issues a new IP address every time she starts up.
I have set her Mac up with Loopware's (free, thank you Loopware) IPMenu. (Thinks. Must make a donation.)
    See http://loopware.com/ipmenu/download.php
This can_be/is set up to send me an email everytime that her address changes, and it is working very well.
Now all I have to do is work out how to get her to set up everything else for an internet connection, when I finally work out what needs doing at both ends.
    She & I are both getting a bit old & slow <grin? more groan>
    Cheers.

  • My daughter tried to open a game on her Ipod touch and the screen went white and I can't get it to do ANYTHING...I've tried holding the sleep/wake button and it does NOTHING, still only a white screen.

My daughter tried to play the My Horse game on her Ipod touch that she got for Christmas and when she opened the game it said something about sending "push notifications" and gave the choice of "don't allow" or "ok"...we chose "don't allow". After that the screen went white and now we cannot get the Ipod touch to respond to anything. I tried holding the sleep/wake button to try to restart it and it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions to get this device working again???

Try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If that doesn't work, try a Restore:
From iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad.
There's more that you can do.  Post back if none of the above solves the problem.
By the way, I always allow "push."  That allows the app developer to "push" information to your device rather than waiting for you to ask for it.  However, "don't allow" shouldn't cause the problem that you're experiencing.
