Phase One + files stuck in "Loading..."

I'm using Lightroom 1.3 for processing my Phase P25+ files. All seems to work well at first, but at some point when I switch from image to image the "Loading..." status never changes and the image does not fully load (remains "blurry") . When the "Loading..." message is displayed I have to control over the development settings as well.
The only way to stop this is to restart Lightroom. Once I do that everything is fine until it starts again, usually only after a few minutes.
What's going on?
Thanks,
jeff

I do have CS3 installed. I don't use Bridge at all.
Not sure what you're asking me to do.
I'm not using Develop mode for browsing. But, I do switch from picture to picture in Develop mode when I'm working on the images... as you should be able to.
I actually do all my reviewing and deleting in iView because LR is painfully slow in comparison (and I'm on a 8 Core Mac Pro w/ 8GB RAM). So, once everything is in LR I'm only "developing."

  • Lightroom with Phase One files?

I was wondering if anyone is using LR with Phase One files?
I use a P45 Phase One back and really would prefer to use Lightroom (over Capture One), but I also need to use the lens correction files for the way I shoot (wide angle lenses / technical cameras etc.)..... I know LR can now do this, but it only works with dng files; everything I've read tells me that the C1 conversion to dng is not a good conversion.
Does anyone have a good workflow for this? I suppose I could always just make a few basic corrections in C1 and then export a 16 bit Tiff to worrk on in LR, but I'd rather work with raw files as much as possible?
    Thanks for any suggestions,
    Alan.

Yes, I agree, it is fairly simple (now that I've investigated further).
LR does a very neat job of this...... you can export the Capture One file (TIF) as a dng and set LR to automaticaly add the new dng to the same folder (and have it stacked), then you can add the flat field correction and that comes in stacked also, so now all three files are together.
One thing that seems a bit odd is that the Capture One TIF file (IIQL) is 55.9 Mb from my P45, but the Lightroom dng is 64.9Mb? Why is the dng larger?
    Thanks,
    Alan.

reader is stuck on one file wont load a new file why?

    Hey george,
Could you please let me know if you are using the latest version of Adobe Reader i.e. 11.0.10
What OS version are you using?
Have you opened the file on the web or within Reader itself?
You might close the file, launch Reader and go to Edit> Preferences> Security(Enhanced) and uncheck 'Enable Protected Mode at startup' option.
Let me know if this sorts your problem.

  • Phase one files with 4.1

so now phase files are officially supported.....but i still get a line through the files...same as before...phase C1 shows no problem....so phase says it is adobe's problem......well mostly it is my problem...driving me nuts....anyone? please!

Make sure you also purge the camera raw cache, it is located in the CR preferences. And yes, I do believe that it could still be the culprit since the CR cache stores the most recently opened images. There could still be bad data in there from the last version.
If that doesnt do it, then you might want to send Thomas a file if you havent already done so. I gave him one of mine (P25) several months ago during the prerelease but there may be some other issue with your Phase calibration data.

  • Phase One files shot with C1 4 will not open with ACR

Hi, files shot with Capture One 4 will not open with ACR nor DNG. Extension is set to .TIF but only the small preview opens. If I shoot with Capture One 3.7 - no problem. Any ideas ?
    Thanks,
    Gunter

    Hi Gunter.
You would need to upload the file to your own web server or to a file sharing site like Yousendit.com and then post a link to the file here in the Forum.

  • Phase One .capture files

    Hello
According to the Camera Raw readme file Phase One files should be supported. But I cannot get this to work. I have a bunch of .capture files shot with a P25 - but neither Bridge, ACR 4.4.1 or Lightroom 1.4.1 knows what to do with these files.
What's wrong? Aren't the .capture files supported after all?
    (I'm on a Mac Pro, Leopard, CS3)

Peter, as Thomas said, even with the .TIF extension they are indeed raw files. Ive never had any issues with either P25 or now P25+ flies opening in CR or LR.
Perhaps a bit more info would be helpful are you seeing any previews in Bridge or just a generic file icon? Have you tried purging the cache in Bridge? Any error messages popping up?
Ive never shot tethered so I suppose there could be something happening in C1 but it would seem unlikely that it would alter the original raw file.

  • Phase One RAW file support needed

Full support for Phase One files would be nice.
If you plug in a CF card containing Phase One RAW files, Lightroom pretends to import them but it only imports the thumbnails. The work around is to download the CF card files to the hard drive and then ask Lightroom to import the folder. Once this folder is in Lightroom you can then ask for DNG conversion. It's a bit of a pain to say the least. I expect it's Phase Ones fault for chosing .tif as the extension for it's RAW files.
    Any better workarounds out there?
    Damien.
PS: I love Lightroom and welcome further development.

maybe i was doing something wrong, but i had no problem working with p20 and p45 raw files in lightroom. i did not import them from a cf card, though, as they were already on a hard drive.

  • Excel documents stuck on loading circle

I'm hoping this is the right forum, there wasn't a general Office Web Apps forum that I could see.
I have a user who is unable to open Excel documents from SharePoint 2010, the web app toolbars appear as they should but the content stops on the "loading" text with the circle.
The documents open fine if they select "Open in Excel" from the drop down when viewing the document library.
The web app works fine for the other 30 odd staff in the same department, but not for this one user (all their PC's are build identical).
I've tried an Office repair, renaming the OWSPUPP.DLL found in Office15 to that the OWSPUP.DLL is used from Office 14 (we have Office 2010 and Lync 2013), resetting IE, deleting all temporary files.
The last option is to rebuild the PC.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that the excel files stucked on loading circle.
Did you active the feature Excel Services Application View Farm Feature and
Excel Services Application Web Part Farm Feature in the farm ?
We can active them, then check whether it works.
Did you use the IE 32bit? Make sure the IE version is 32bit.
You also can check with other browers, such as FireFox, Chrome, if so, we can use the following methods or reset the IE.
Use the Compatibility View Settings in IE. Open the IE->Tools->
Compatibility View Settings->add the site into Compatibility View, then check whether it works.
Add the site into Trusted sites. Opne the IE->Internet Options->Security->Sites->add the site into the Websites, then check whether it works.
What’s more, you can check the event log and ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
To check event log, click the Start button and type “Event Viewer” in the Search box.
For SharePoint 2010, by default, ULS log is at
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS
You can check the ULS log by the methods here:

  • In PSE8 I need to move some files into one file - how to do?

When I added some photos of a trip from my camera to my PSE8 Organizer instead of going in as one file by date loaded they went in under separate files names. Now I have a large amount of files and want to move them into one file. How do I make a new file that I can move them to and how do I move them? Do I do this in photoshop or do I do this in windows My Pictures. I am using Win7.

Can you give me a little more info please. When I click on the display button it shows some dropdown menus, what do I click on next? What left hand panel do you mean? I'm always nervous about clicking on things in PSE, it usually ends up changing everything around then I spend hours trying to get everything back to how it was. Thanks.

  • Phase One color cast in Bridge

    Hi all:
I know there are a lot of photographers in this forum, so I'm hoping one you can help/enlighten me.
We just received IIQ images from a photography, shot on a Phase One P45.
When previewing in Bridge CS5, I'm seeing a strong blue cast over the images.
This is the first time we've ever gotten IIQ files that previewed in Bridge with such a heavy cast, and I'm wondering if something wasn't processed right before the files were delivered to us? I have a general knowledge of RAW, but not sure what happens to them before they get delivered. From what I read, it's possible that the photos should have gone through Capture One color management software before being handed to us as processed IIQ files?
Is that the case? Has anyone ever experience this in Bridge and if so, can it be "fix"?
    Thanks,
    Lisa

Has anyone ever experience this in Bridge and if so, can it be "fix"?
Without having experience with Capture One or Phase One files I know that Adobe Camera Raw 6.x (comes with CS5) does support the IIQ files from Phase One P45 so Bridge should have no trouble in viewing those files.
First put your mouse on that file and with right click menu choose purge cache for selection and see if this brings some light. If not Open the file in Camera Raw (double click or right mouse click choose open in Camera Raw. This should open the file in ACR and see if you still have the color cast and if the white balance is set to normal expected values.
If still a color cast either contact the photographer or set the color temperature values to your wishes

  • Xcode 4 - last build phase "copy files" gets build stuck

I really like the new XCode, but I'm having one really annoying issue. When I try to add new build phase "Copy Files" after every other build phases, which copies the final product component to some directory, the build just gets stuck.
This is what I mean, try it yourself:
    1. Create a new project - choose System Plug-In - Audio Unit effect. Name it as, let's say "Doo"
    2. Open project target named as "Doo".
    3. Add new build phase - Add Copy Files to the end of the list.
    4. Press + and add Doo.component from the Products to the list.
    5. Select "Absolute path" as a destination (in this case I'd like to have the component in Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components-directory).
    6. Build.
    -> build gets stuck
Build goes successful, if Doo.component is removed from the list.
This was working in XCode 3.x. And regarding to documents this is meant to be like "make install" phase in the end of the build, and should work.
Or, am I doing something wrong?

  • How do i load several large movies in one file?

Hi folks -- need help desperately here...
I have four very large Flash movies with audio, a couple of
which are approaching the 16,000-frame limit. I need them all to
play one after the other, in a loop, unattended. I can't copy and
paste all the frames into one file because Flash movies stop
playing at 16,000 frames. After many web searches I've found that I
can supposedly set up a movie that plays all four other movies,
using loadmovie, but I can't seem to find out how exactly.
By the way, I was hoping to play this in a projector file,
but if it must be done in a browser that should be OK, as long as
the browser in question has a full screen mode.
Can anybody give me instructions on how to set this up?
Thanks in advance -- and by the way, I'm not good with
Actionscript, so please go easy on me...

Actually just in trying to find a solution I ended up
creating a movie with just one frame -- it loaded the first SWF
into Level 0. I put script in the last frame of the first movie to
load the second movie into Level 0, and so on until the last movie
loaded the first one in again. So far I have had it running in a
loop with no problem. I'm going to leave it running overnight to
see if there are any memory issues, etc, but so far it's rocking
    just fine.
    Thanks for your help anyhow!

  • Phase One Raw File have lines in them (Lightroom 2.1 ACR 5.1)

when importing Phase One P25 raw files, Lightroom is displaying tin lines across the image. those lines are not appearing in any of the Capture one Software 3.7 4.1 or 4.5 I guess ACR is not reading the Digital Back Calibration Data. I am managing thousands of Images in Lightroom and I don't want to move back to Capture one as it is very limited in terms of its meta data management and no spot removal yet.
if I convert the Raw file (IIQ Small or Large) to DNG using Capture one then Lightroom reading the DNG file without the Lines but the file size is 44MB instead of 15MB of the IIQ Small (Phase One Raw Format). obviously duplicating all my images to DNG Quadrupling disk space is not something I want to add to my workflow.
Adobe, can you improve the way you read the Phase One Raw Files?
I use Phase One P25 Digital Back with the latest firmware 3.6 , Windows XP 32 and 64bit and Lightroom 2.1 (this problem appears on all Lightroom Versions including 1.4,2.0,2.1)
I can send to adobe some Raw File Example or assist in any way I can to find a solution.
    Please Help!

Following does not alleviate the problem, but it may shed some light on the underlying reason.
Phase One are fooling their customers with the promise of 16bit depth. However, in fact that is only 14 useful bits; the two low order bits *must not* be used, for they represent mainly the pecularities of the hardware.
The following capture is from a P25+ raw image (converted in DNG by the Adobe DNG converter), but only the two low order bits are processed. These should be random on their own, as theoretically they would represent the finest transitions. The two thin vertical lines show the seams between the chips; their location depends on the particular camera copy (I have seen one or two seams, i.e. the sensor is made out of two or three chips, but perhaps there can be more).
The horizontal stripes cause posterization if an extremely underexposed image's brightness gets adjusted; the seams can become visible as thin lines.
The image is in the "native" (landscape) orientation. The orangy rectangle is not part of the image.
