Phishing calls from "SYSTEM NOTIFICATION"
Hello!
Around 2:15 pm today, I received a call from 'SYSTEM NOTIFICATION' XXXXXXXXX An automated voice message stated that my system's connection speed and voice quality is poor and that I should go to www.helpimr.com (or something like that).
I obvously did not follow the instructions, but I thought I'd notify you anyway, before gullible users fall prey to this user.
Thank you. This is a well known and well documented attempted SCAM.

We just wrote an AE program and is called through the vanilla SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST.
It's running on a daily basis ie. with RECURRENCE.
Now we need to call the same program through the regular page run control request.
But we are not how to recognize from inside the AE program if whether it's been called from SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST or RUN CONTROL REQUEST.
Any of you might have suggestion ?
Any technique or workaround is also appreciated.
THANKS in Advance .This AE pgm is currently automatically called from SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST on a daily basis to load data from an input file deposited on the server ready for pickup.
We would like to use the same AE pgm ( thus using the same validation and loading logic ) to load the same file format but defined by the user ( via attachment load ) as needed any time during the day.
The user will initiate this AE pgm online ( ie. from a page with his parameters ).
Currently, the pgm now already runs automatically daily and we wish to make it also available to be run by user anytime in the day
To achieve that, we would need to know:
Is the AE pgm ran by (a) the user or by the (b) SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST so that the program can decide of where to take input file.
(a) Take from an attachment defined by user or (b) from the input file already deposited on the server for pickup
That is the reason why we try to detect who called the AE pgm in order decide where to pickup the input file.
Your help is much appreciated as I do researches but so far haven't gotten a concluded decision.
Thank you.

System Condition is not picked from TL while generating calls from Plan
Hi,
I've marked System condition field at work order header as required.
However, the system doesn't pick up that field from Task List when generating call from maint plan.. that would still be not populated therefore preventing e.g. from bulk release..
Do you know why is that? looks like a system bug or so..Hi Paul,
I have to revive that topic..
defining system condition as decribed before seems to be working only for work order being called from maintenance plan
on the other hand, for notification generated from plan and then transformed to work orders defining system condition at task list details at item level does not work..
also ,defining system condition at TL header doesn't help (like in order example)..
at the same time, defining system condition at operation level are getting transferred to order with no problem..
do you have an idea?
Thanks in advance -
Spam from qb2.system.notification.alert user
I've been receiving several calls from the user qb2.system.notification.alert saying my pc has some security problem and telling me to go to a website (syslog.com).
I guess this is a automatic system doing spams.
is there any black list on skype? how can I warn the skype team about it?
Thanksit's a scam. please visit the thread below for instructions and suggestions on how to deal with such unwanted and suspicious activities;

endHaving looked at your spreadsheet I see you're failing H323 transfers back to your ISDN system, but only under certain circumstances. Quite why, I'm not sure, possibly because you haven't codec defined on your H323 dial peers. or it could be something else
I think you may be able to work around the problem by adding
" supplementary-service h450.12 " under voice service voip on your CME router as a quick fix.

Parameters
IMPORTING Parameters
Parameter name
Use
COMMANDNAME
The name of the definition of the external command, as specified in the maintenance function (transaction SM69).
PARAMETERS
Arguments for the external command as specified by the definition in the R/3 System and by the calling program or user.
These arguments are checked for impermissible characters, such as the ; under UNIX. Problems are registered with the SECURITY_RISK exception.
EXPORTING Parameters
Parameter name
Use
STATUS
Returns the final status of the execution of the external command:
· Value O: The external command was started and ran to end successfully.
· Value E: An error occurred; the external command was not run successfully.
Tables Parameters
Parameter name
Use
EXEC_PROTOCOL
Contains the STDOUT and STDERR output of the external command and any output from the target host system.
Exceptions
Exception name
Meaning
X_ERROR
Reserved for future use.
NO_PERMISSION
The AUTHORITY-CHECK of the users authorization for the authorization object S_LOG_COM failed. The user is not authorized to carry out the command named with the specified arguments on the target system.
COMMAND_NOT_FOUND
Command name, as identified by COMMANDNAME and OPERATINGSYSTEM, has not been defined in the maintenance function (transaction SM69).
PARAMETERS_TOO_LONG
The combined argument string (ADDITIONAL_PARAMETERS and the DEFINED_PARAMETERS, as returned in ALL_PARAMETERS) exceeds the limit of 128 characters in length.
SECURITY_RISK
Either:
· The command contains impermissible characters. These are characters with potentially dangerous properties, such as ; under UNIX.
· The command definition specifies that an extra-check function module be run. This function module has rejected execution of the command.
WRONG_CHECK_CALL_
INTERFACE
The command definition specifies that an extra-check function module is to be run. Either this function module is missing, or the interface defined for this function module does not match that of the standard R/3 function module SXPG_DUMMY_COMMAND_CHECK. For more information, please see SXPG_DUMMY_COMMAND_CHECK: Interface for Extra-Check Function Modules.
TOO_MANY_PARAMETERS
The command definition specifies that user-specified arguments for the external command are not allowed. However, an additional string of command arguments was specified.
PARAMETER_EXPECTED
The command definition includes the placeholder character ?, which signifies that additional user-defined arguments are required. However, no additional arguments string was supplied.
PROGRAM_START_ERROR
An error occurred while starting the external command. The R/3 system field SY-MSGV1 contains additional information on the problem.
PROGRAM_TERMINATION_
ERROR
An error occurred while trying to obtain the return code of the external program. The R/3 system field SY-MSGV1 contains additional information on the problem.
ILLEGAL_COMMAND
The external command definition was modified "illegally". That is, the command was not modified by means of the maintenance function (transaction SM69).
The modified command is registered in the system log in its substituted form. The message is registered under the system log ID "LC".
OTHERS
Catch any new exceptions added to this function module.
Hope this will be useful.

How to call Operating System commands / external programs from within APEX
Hi,
Can someone please suggest how to call Operating Systems commands / external programs from within APEX?
E.g. say I need to run a SQL script on a particular database. SQL script, database name, userid & password everything is available in a table in Oracle. I want to build a utility in APEX where by when I click a button APEX should run the following
c:\oracle\bin\sqlplusw.exe userud/password@database @script_name.sql
Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards,Hi Guys,
I have reviewed the option of using scheduler and javascript and they do satisfy my requirements PARTIALLY. Any calls to operating system commands through these features will be made on the server where APEX is installed.
However, here what I am looking at is to call operating systems programs on client machine. For example in my APEX application I have constructed the following strings of commands that needs to be run to execute a change request.
sqlplusw.exe user/password@database @script1.sql
sqlplusw.exe user/password@database @script2.sql
sqlplusw.exe user/password@database @script3.sql
sqlplusw.exe user/password@database @script4.sql
What I want is to have a button/link on the APEX screen along with these lines so that when I click that link/button this entire line of command gets executed in the same way it would get executed if I copy and paste this command in the command window of windows.
Believe me, if I am able to achieve what I intend to do, it is going to save a lot of our DBAs time and effort.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards, -
Can I source an environment before making a system call from the database
I can execute system calls from the database like
Process proc = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("env");
but I am unable to source an environment before making the call.
Our goal is to from within the database to execute tkprof on a
raw trace file then load both files into clobs in a table. We can load
the raw trace no problem, we just cannot figure out how to execute
tkrprof on the raw trace then load its output.
Anyone know if this is possible to hava java get a runtime and then call
an environment file to source the environment so that path's and other environment variables are set prior to executing another system command. Thanks for that...but can I do multiple edits in my Stored Procedure Vaibhav and pass back something that I can then utilize in my SSIS? For example...
One and Only one Member Span...so I'd be doing a SELECT COUNT(*) based on my match criteria or handle the count accordingly in my Stored Procedure and passing something back via the OLE DB Command and handling it appropriately in SSIS
Are there "Diabetes" claims...again probably by analyzing a SELECT COUNT(*)
Am I expecting too much from the SSIS...should I be doing all of this in a Stored Procedure? I was hoping to use the SSIS GUI for everything but maybe that's just not possible. Rather use the Stored Procedure to analyze my stged data, edit accordingly, do
data stores accordingly...especially the data anomalies...and then use the SSIS to control navigation
Your thoughts........
Could you maybe clarify the difference between an OLE DB Command on the Data Flow and the Execute SQL Task on the Control Flow...
You can get return values from oledb comand if you want to pipeline.
see this link for more details
http://josef-richberg.squarespace.com/journal/2011/6/30/ssis-oledb-command-and-procedure-output-params.html
The procedure should have an output parameter defined for that
I belive if you've flexibility of using stored procedure you may be better off doing this in execute sql task in control flow. Calling sp in data flow will cause it to execute sp once for each row in dataset whereas in controlflow it will go for set based
processing

Accounting indicator for costing in Sales Order
We need to find a trigger in the CRM sales order to define a separate costing approach, e.g. to generate an internal order in ECC. In Service, the "accounting indicator" triggers an internal order in ECC. We need something similar for sales orders. A
