Phishing Email that pretends to be from BT

While phishing emails are common targetting bank customers I have just received one targetting BT customers.
It appears as   Sender BT,  Title Important , Recipient "blank"
The  content says BT have been unable to take a payment and asks you to confirm your payment details.
Surprisingly it uses a BT email address of mine that I thought only BT knew about.
Does BT have an email address similar to most banks that I can pass this email onto ?

  • Can we change the font in the email that is being sent from SAP ?

    Hi,
I have a requirement where in we need to change the font for the contents in the mail being generated from SAP.
I am using the FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send my mail. And the contents are just appened to an internal table as text elements.
Can we change the font in the email that is being sent from SAP  to Arial 10points?

E-mails generated with that function module are created in plain text format.  The font that would appear when reading the e-mail would be dependt on the user's setting for the e-mail application (e.g. Outlook).
To my knowledge, the font cannot be affected during it's creation.
Hope this sheds some light on your issue.

Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
    Come back with the results.

Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them, and all future updates will require you to enter the password associated with this ID, whether you are currently using this ID for purchases or not.  If you are being prompted for your sister-in-law's Apple ID when updating it means that there must be one or more apps on your phone that was purchased using her Apple ID.  (When she synced with your computer it may have transferred this app to your library.  It was subsequently synced to your phone.)  The only way to stop the prompt for her ID is to delete these apps from your phone and your iTunes library and repurchase them using your Apple ID.

  • Phishing emails that purport to be sent by Apple

Ignore emails titled "IOS 7.1.6 - Security - Apple ID" (or similar). They are NOT from Apple and are phishing emails. They look very authentic, but do not click on any links in these emails.  I've recently gotten two of them: (1) sent 3/10/2014 from email address 'valdosaurus.mschosting.com' and (2) sent 3/20/2014 from email address 'webxc28s01.ad.aruba.it'. These emails claimed that information about my Credit Card had recently been changed in my Apple (store) account, and was a warning to me in case I had not made any such change on the dates the emails were generated.
In fact I had no credit card on file in my Apple account, nor had I accessed my account in recent months. An Apple website support representative that I talked to said Apple does not sent emails to Apple website users, and that the email addresses of the 2 emails I received are not associated with Apple.  I did not click on any of the authentically-identified links in these emails, so I don't know where they really would have taken me, but not likely where they indicated.

    Is 2.9 MB too large?
No, in terms of Mail.app. As WZZZ said, this limit is set by your ISP.
Yes, in terms of netiquette. Google it. Any file > 1MB is, IMHO, too big for e-mail. Nowadays, this rule may be more relaxed, because more people have broadband. You should check with your intended recipient.

  • SMPT 'offline' for primary account, emails that I send show from different account.

I have two Gmail accounts and a Yahoo account all tied to my iCloud email. My primary Gmail account has just recently showed the SMTP as 'offline'. Since my other Gmail account is not 'offline', I selected that as the default SMPT since they are both Gmail. The problem, is that any email I send goes out from my secondary Gmail account and not my primary, even though I select my primary from the drop down. My Yahoo account always shows offline. How do I get these SMTP's to go online and stop showing 'offline'? Thanks in advance.

  • I need to retrieve an email that has been deleted from my computer and iCloud, please help.

My mail preferences were set to delete on iCloud after 30 days. How can I get a copy of an email that has been deleted ? I have changed the settings to never  now but that didn't bring any back. Thank you.

No, not unless you have the email somewhere else as well. It's kind of the same thing with my devices, I delete an iMessage but if I search it in search it pops up, but I can't access it.

  • Scam emails that appear to come from apple?

Recently received an email from 'Apple' as an alert stating my account was accessed from a device that had never been used before and that the device was in Indonesia... Obviously rings alarm bells but the email just doesn't 'look' right to me. I've received these emails before after using my iPhone, iPad, my girlfriends iPhone etc on my Apple ID. This just looks different but I have no email address for anyone in apple that I could forward it to in order to check its validity... Not followed the 'click here' link on the email obviously. Has anyone. Any experience of this?! Thanks.

Have you checked the purchase history on your account : if you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.
If it shows on there then contact iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If it doesn't then you can forward the email to Apple at this address : [email protected]

  • SKY Phishing emails received 01/03/15 not from SKY re; Account Update / changing settings

I have received TWO emails this evening purporting to be from SKY asking me to update my details before I lose my Sky email address. The link takes you to a phishing site that looks like a SKY login screen but isn't !! I have reported the emails to both SKY and Google but there will be a number of people caught out by this before the site is taken down. PLEASE BE AWARE of this !!

I received an identical email today as below, which I forwarded to [email protected] "Hello My email address)The Classic version of your layout will be replaced by our new version on 26th JUNE 2015. So it's time to upgrade, before you lose your email access.
    When you upgrade your E-mail
Your service won't be affected and you'll keep all your old contacts, folders and messages. Plus you'll get:Faster E-mailThe latest spam protectionUnlimited E-mail storageHow you can upgrade your account
sky.com/en-GB/update/layout/ (It gave this link but with http etc at the beginning)
Thanks for choosing us" Scam and Phishing emails that infect your computers wil often fail to address you by name and use the term Hello as this one does. It is also worth clicking on reply so that you can see who has sent the email. In this case it was shown as coming from [email protected] I also contacted SKY who confirmed that they had not sent me any emails today. I have marked it on my SKY webmail as spam so that if I receive another one then it will go straight into my Spam folder. Please be wary of these scammers.

  • I have an email that is sent but won't disappear from my screen. I push cancel and nothing happens. I can't get back to my accounts. What do I do ?

I have an email that won't disappear from my screen.
I push cancel and nothing happens.
I can see my accounts "behind" the email but I can't access them.
I have turned machine off and on again.
    What else?

Go back to your homescreen, then completely close down your mail app by double clicking the home button to open the multi-tasking bar. Hold your finger on the mail app icon and then click the red circle that appears on the left of the icon.
Once you have done that, reopen the mail app and you should be sorted.
