Phishing and scam attempts against Skype users seems to be pretty common, and I get a fair share myself.
The good news is that it's actually possible to do something to reduce the amount of Phishing and scams dramatically.
There is a new email authentication standard called DMARC, DMARC is supported by Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, AOL and others.
DMARC is pretty easy to implement, since it's based on existing technology: SPF & DKIM signing
Well-known senders protecting their users using DMARC include: Paypal, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Netflix and others.
How about if Skype started protecting it's users using DMARC ?

Open the file in QuickTime Player. Then do Tools > Show Movie Inspector. What does it say for Format and FPS?
At 59GB, I suspect you have either a 4 hour DV video or a 1+ hour video that was converted to Apple Intermediate Codec. If it's either of those, you can import it directly into FCE provided you select the appropriate Easy Setup first. Your clips have to match the properties of the Easy Setup you are using.
If it's neither DV or AIC then you need to convert it to one of those codecs. (QuickTime/DV or QuickTime/AIC) Many people in this forum rely on MPEG Streamclip (it's free and works great).

Apple at this time does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:

There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". It is also possible to purchase parts and find instructions on doing a repair yourself, though it's not particularly easy. Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPod serviced by an unauthorized shop or perform a repair yourself, all further support from Apple will be void.

So I just noticed that there seems to be no good way to fix the iTunes restoring error 3. So I decided to try this freezer technique(invented by kennethyoung) to fix it. Many people had succeed with it so why not give it a try. Here is what I came up with. Might look stupid though

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with device errord. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
Resolve iOS update and restore errors - Apple Support
Check your USB connections
Related errors: 13, 14, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 1643-1650, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, 4005, 4013, 4014, or “invalid response."
If the USB connection between your device and computer is interrupted, you may be unable to update or restore.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use the USB cable that came with your device, or a different Apple USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port directly on your computer. Don't plug it into your keyboard.
Try a different computer.
If necessary, resolve any further issues with the USB connection, then with your security software.
If you're still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues by following the next section.

Creating a step type "launcher" that would insert the appropriate built-in or custom step type at edit time

Hi everybody,
I'm looking for tips, pointers,directions... to be able to perform this operation in TS 4.0 sequence Editor, if it's even possible...
I'm managing a test system with a "home-made" virtual instruments abstraction Layer complementary to IVI classes for instruments which do not have classes defined, customizing the sequence editor accordingly for developpers of my department.
So basically when the instrument is IVI, the developper uses the built-in IVI step-type type and when it is not, he uses the the custom step types that I developped for this particular class of instruments.
However there are classes where I do have both IVI and specific drivers available and I do need to use both in the test sequence.
For example let's say there are two sources of DC power available in the testbench, one being a programmable IVI compliant DC power supply, and the other one composed of fixed "blocks" of DC power supply managed by externals relays and you need to use them both in the test sequence.
What I would like to be able to do in the sequence editor is inserting the appropriate step type at edit time just by selecting the source of power supply (by a ring or enum for eg), and if the first ressource is selected, it inserts IVI step type, and if the second ressource is chosen, it inserts the appropriate custom step type.
Any Ideas on how to accomplish this ?

Here is an idea that could be done:
You could create a dynamic step by having a step that holds all the properties for both configurations (the superset of the necessary variables) and an extra one that indicates which 'mode' the step is in. Then you create the main Edit substep in whichever language you desire. That substep window will then have a box/dropdown/etc. at the top you can use to choose between modes A & B. When the user changes the value, you would dynamically change the rest of the window to contain the appropriate properties for mode A or B. You then copy the property values in that window to the Step properties, and copy the mode to your variable and you can run the step in that mode. When the step then runs, it checks the mode variable, and depending on its value, it will run the step in mode A or B.
Now we could add a dialog that allows us to choose when we put a step down but we should still allow the user to change later via the Edit substep we create.
I don't think we can create something that inserts a completely different step, but we can have one step that has the ability to do both and we can pick which one we execute. Also note we still don't have the ability to edit the Panels for a step, so we have to use a new window that we call from our Edit substep to complete the step.

Creating a field or workflow that responds to the Current System Date.

In our activities/tasks we have a field that is the Expected Completion Date or Required Completion Date. Based on that date, and the current date, I want a workflow to trigger when the required completion date is less than 30 days away, sending daily reminders to the owner/manager that they have a activity/task due.
The way I see it I have two options.
1. Customize a field to be the system date. Create a workflow that says every time that field changes, and the date is within 30 days of required completion date, send out an email.
2. Create a workflow that somehow incorporates the current/system date, and do the same thing as above, substituting the field with the actual date.
I don't know how to make either of those options happen. Does anyone either have other options or advice on how to make this work?

Sorry for the delayed response. These informations are generated in the FormName.err file. If its not the error, then why its not generating for other forms. As I mentioned earlier, this fom has DML sources by the Database Procedures, that could be the reason ?, this is my first project in Forms.

CREATING A TRIGGER THAT PICKS UP THE LAST INSERTED RECORD

my question. is it possible to embed a sql query whitin a trigger? the thing is that when I have to insert the value, this actually would have to be retrieved from another table. It is an AFTER INSERT, but it needs to know which name I inserted in table 1 in order to also insert it into table 2.
More specifically. Imagine a table with usernames and passwords that I populate as I set them up
Then I need a trigger that as it sees that I have entered that username it takes it and populates another table with that plus a generated sequence that could be the result of some string function

In an insert trigger you can reference all the inserting values with :new.column_name, hence there's no need to select from the USERS_TABLE table:

What can be done about the highly reflective glare from these new LED cinema displays?

The new iMac's have screens that have the glass bonded (glued?) to the LED screen now that supposedly reduces the amount of glare by 60-75%.
If glare is still a problem for you, there are a variety of different glare reduction sheets that can be applied directly to the glass.
You need to do your own search for these as I can't vouch for the effectiveness and ease in which these products can be applied and which ones are recommend or are best and which ones to avoid.
