  • Subject/Question: "WARNING: SUSPECTED PHISHING SITE" message has just recently come up for me EVERY time I go to a website on Safari. What do I do?

    This has been happening for me just recently, 12/2012... EVERY TIME I CLICK ON A WEBSITE, I get: WARNING: SUSPECTED PHISHING SITE.
    At first, I thought it was valid, but when I saw that it was doing it before EVERY page, I knew that something was wrong. I read through your comments from the past, but saw no indications of what was causing the problem then or how to fix it.
    I have a macbook 10.5.8, & I use Safari. Never had this problem before.
    Can anyone tell me what I need to do?
    I may have changed a few things in System Preferences... and...
    I have copied & pasted the email addresses from my spam to block in Yahoo mail to see if that makes any difference in the number of spam emails that I get. Probably not, as they are constantly changing email addresses, but thought I would try.
    That is all that I know that I have done.
    And now this is constant & annoying & I don't know what websites that I can trust.
    Please help.
    I haven't use this site much. Will I get an email to let me know if anyone responds? Or do I have to try to come back here to check for replies?
    Thanks again!

    Have you tried the Reset Safari... in the pull down menu under Safari?

  • R12 Supplier Open Interface issue- Supplier Sites Rolling up to address

    I am doing a supplier conversion, and when I do...the sites roll up to the address. You look at the address book and the sites with the same address roll up. I don't want this.
    We want a one-to-one relationship. One site, one address...no matter if it is the same or not. Is there a flag or something I can set to avoid this issue?
    Thanks

    Hello Jason,
    We have done somewhat the same, I see you dont add any arguments in the submit request call.
    Maybe all below is already known, maybe it helps you to find just what is wrong in your case.
    We did it this way:
    l_id := fnd_request.submit_request( application => 'SQLAP'
    +, program => p_name+
    +, description => null+
    +, start_time => null+
    +, sub_request => null--fnd_global.conc_request_id+
    +, argument1 => 'APXSUIMP'+
    +, argument2 => 'ALL'+
    +, argument3 => 1000+
    +, argument4 => 'N'+
    +, argument5 => 'N'+
    +);+
    After this we immediately execute a commit (as this will trigger the request start).
    After that we also wait for the request to finish by doing the following:
    if fnd_concurrent.wait_for_request
    +( l_request_id+
    +, 2 --interval+
    +, 0 --max_wait+
    +, l_phase --phase+
    +, l_status --status+
    +, l_dev_phase --dev_phase+
    +, l_dev_status --dev_status+
    +, l_message )+
    then ...
    Hope this helps,

  • Pop up states i'm being directed to a phishing site and to call "this" number, after I click on OK it just keeps popping up again and will not let me out of an endless loop

    I am in an endless loop on my other iMac computer.  I happened upon a page where it said "phishing site ahead" and then a pop up comes on screen telling me to call a certain number and then I click okay and of course do not call and it will not let me out of this endless loop.  Shut down computer, quit Safari, but when I reopen Safari it still takes me to that same page and will not let me out or use any menu items or toolbar items. Just the same little popup box telling me to call a certain number with an OK button and I can't go anywhere or do anything on Safari. What can I do?

    Also I copied this from my other computer web page:
    Reported Phishing website ahead.  Your network ha been monitored.  Your network has been compromised due to Browser hijacking.The browser hijacking software may redirect you towards phishing websites that try to access your Login Password details.  To fix this browser redirection issue we recommend you ask for instant help.  Help Line 1 877 899 1824.
    Then another smaller popup window pops up
    http://www.pcassists.info
    Security Error
    Call Helpline 1877 899 1824
    So this is what I was talking  about, and the small popup window plus the larger  Window stating "Reported Phishing website ahead" will not go away and I cannot use Safari anymore even after I shut down my computer, disconnected it, and then signed on again and reopened Safari, it still takes me to that page and I cannot get out of it.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

  • Clicking on the downward arrow at the right end of the location bar no longer displays the drop-down list of sites visited, bookmarks and addresses typed in location bar

    Since I upgraded to Firefox version 3.6.10, clicking on the downward arrow at the right end of the location bar no longer displays the drop-down list of sites visited, bookmarks and addresses typed in location bar. My Tools > Options > privacy setting is to save history, and if I start typing a previously accessed website's address in the location bar, then the full address appears as a drop-down item. But not when I just click at the right end of the bar.

    You can try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the [[Safe mode]] start window.
    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Hosting Multiple SSL Sites on Separate IP Addresses

    Hosting Multiple SSL Sites on Separate IP Addresses
    I currently have a web server (XServe) hosting a number of different sites from its main IP address on port 80 using Apache 1.3. This has been working great, the ServerAdmin GUI has been pretty good about creating the appropriate Apache configs, and everybody is happy.
    I have one particular site that I want to use SSL with so I decided to purchase a cert (from GoDaddy). Since I have one other cert on the server assigned to the main server IP, I understand that the appropriate way to setup additional SSL certificates is to bind another IP address to the XServe and use that IP. I was unable to use ServerAdmin to install my new certificate (not surprisingly) probably since it is a chain certificate, however I have been able to do it by hand and it seems to be working as intended…mostly.
    This is where my problem begins. The site that I wanted to add SSL to is currently hosted on the main IP address (x.x.x.173:80) and the SSL certificate is working on the newly bound IP address (x.x.x.178:443). Fundamentally it would seem appropriate to change the IP address of the non-SSL site to match the new IP, except on port 80 – So I can achieve a seamless blend between standard and SSL (when necessary). The problem is that I can’t get Apache to work this way. Maybe I am missing a step, or overlooking something.
    Excerpt from current, working (non-SSL) config: (Names have been changed to protect the innocent.)
    <VirtualHost x.x.x.173:80>
    ServerName www.site.com
    ServerAdmin [email protected]
    DocumentRoot "/Library/WebServer/Documents/www.site.com"
    </VirtualHost>
    Excerpt from current, working (SSL) config:
    <VirtualHost x.x.x.178:443>
    ServerName www.site.com
    ServerAdmin [email protected]
    DocumentRoot "/Library/WebServer/Documents/www.site.com"
    </VirtualHost>
    changing the first entry’s ip address to match the second one causes the site to be unresponsive (using the IP address to point the browser to the site) but the SSL version keeps working. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    There are massive-scale dictionary attacks against WordPress sites underway at present.  Are you certain that your site isn't breached?
    But in any case, AFAIK, the safe-browsing data is downloaded from Google, via the Safe Browsing APIs.  Which means that if Google is reporting your site as fraudulent, you'll want to contact Google.  There's a link to that reporting process here.

  • Question about Firefox's phishing site blocker

    So I accidentally kicked one of those keyloggers sent to take WoW accounts and when it opened in Firefox 4 it said it blocked the site as it was obviously a phishing. So when it says it blocked the site, it didn't load at all correct? I'd just like to make sure I didn't get anything from the phishing site on my computer.

    If you got a blocking page with a red background and you stopped there then you haven't visited that web page.

    When I try and open certain pages I get the message 'No site configured at this address' even on what is my home page, which opens when I start firefox but on a new tab or changing from another site it won't connect.

  • When i click on bookmark it says no site configured at this address but i know the address is operational on internet explorer

    my bookmark use to work for www.kitco.com now i juct get a white screen that says no site configured at this address. when i go on internet explorer and click on favorites it is still there. what gives with firefox?

    Did you try to type the address in the location bar instead of using a bookmark?
    Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
    *Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (MAC)
    You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry (Show All History or History sidebar) or via the about:permissions page.
    Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.<br />
    You can't recover from that 'forget' unless you have a backup of the affected files.
    It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

  • What happens if you go on Twitter, click a phishing site, give your username and password to it (because you never knew) can the hacker also hack into your iPod Touch 4th generation?

      Okay, so I went on Twitter and some chick replies to a tweet and she sent me a tweet going like 'you guys were doin what here, looks confusing' then sends me a link. There was no tweet conversation or anything but being an idiot, I pressed the link (I was on my iPod Touch and it's 4th gen) and it got some 'time session ended' or whatever. Again, being the idiot and regretting it, I typed my Twitter username and password. Then it showed some 'cash' thing I don't even know. I searched it up, it was a phishing site and I changed my password for the third time. I hope you're still reading this because I'm very desperate for help. If I did press it, will the hacker hack my iPod too?  Thanks! xx

    Nope, they can't hack you iPod. The can (or could) log into your twitter account and change the password so y no longer control the site.
    If you used the same password for other sites/serves change those too.
    You might also want to change other information information in the twitter account like secret questions/answers since maybe they already logged into your account to steal that data  and plan to use that information at a later date.

  • Phishing sites from apple website

    I think I know the answer to this but I'll see if some of you who are way smarter than me have a solution.
    I was on the Apple website, truly the Apple website, as I have a permanent link on the bar to Apple. When I was shutting down the Safari window from viewing the Apple website, another window popped up saying I could register to win an iPad. Now I always ignore these kinds of things on my Windows machine since I know they're garbage but never experiencing one on my MAC and leaving the Apple site, I never even thought this one might be phishing. I entered my email on the first screen and clicked next and then it started asking a whole lot more detailed questions which I promptly said some unrepeatable words and shut down the window. Now I get small mountains of spam to my Apple email which I've never had before. Other than changing my email address, is there any way to stop the spam? I mark everything as junk but the Apple mail program still lets it through, albeit a different colored message, and makes me delete it. Is there anything that will bounce emails marked as spam from the senders at the server level so the same address can't send me any more garbage? I was hoping marking the emails as spam/junk that Apple was utilizing this at the server level to identify spammer IP's and addresses and blocking them from getting to our email much like gmail does. Thanks for any advice in advance.
    LSC

    Bouncing spam will do no good, since the senders are almost certainly using fake return addresses. All you'd accomplish is getting an "invalid address" message back.
    Since you're now on probably dozens of spam lists and almost certainly will continue to get onto more, changing your email address is in all likelihood the most effective thing to do. Spammers do a lot to disguise their junk from spam filters, so stuff always can get through. I've found SpamSieve to be more effective at blocking than Apple's junkmail filter, so you can give that a try first if you wish:
    http://c-command.com/spamsieve/
    If you're using MobileMe email, Apple's junkmail filter isn't very sophisticated; most email providers' anti-spam filters aren't since they can't risk being overly aggresive and thereby blocking valid emails. If you use some other email provider, discuss the issue with your provider. Changing your email address is probably the only good solution, though. I've had to do that two or three times in the last few years due to spam. I use Spam Gourmet, a nifty free service that allows you to set up "temporary" email addresses for use with sites you don't completely trust, and that's cut down massively on spam. I've still had vendors from whom I purchased things sell my email address to spammers, though.
    It's unlikely you have any spyware on your system unless the web site downloaded something that you then allowed to install. More likely you just had a delayed site hijack/tag from another web site (not Apple's) that popped up that window on a window close. Those aren't uncommon, particularly if you don't have the "block popups" set on your web browser.
    Regards.
