I Cannot say what it would be in Canada, but I just had it done in the US and it was $129 plus tax. Should be comparable.

The standard iPhone warranty does not cover accidental damage. Apple will fix it, but they will charge the full repair cost.
The AppleCare+ warranty for the phone, which you can buy within 30 days of the iPhone purchase, does cover two incidents of accidental damage and repairs are charged at $75 I believe.
Your carrier warranty, if you have one, may cover accidental damage - check with them.

This is your choice. They should not be insisting. If you can afford it it is a good buy but lots of people go without it.

IPhone 6 screen repair cost?

Can someone please explain to me why it costs ~400 AUD to get my iPhone 6 screen repaired with apple here in Australia, while in USA it only costs 109USD?
What is the reason for this exuberant price hike? Last I checked 1AUD = 0.87USD.
In fact, if I send my phone to a friend in America, have them get it repaired, then sent back to me, I will save ~200
That seems like absolute madness.

Does every single new apple product come with 1-year warranty?

I got my iPod touch fifth generation around Febuary 5th, and dropped it. It cracked, and I was wondering if all products (regardless of place bought) brought the warranty.
Also, does apple just replace devices under the warranty? I don't think an iPod screen is replaceable by itself.

Yes, pretty much they all carry the 1 year warranty. But that warranty does not cover damage that you caused.

If there is a hardware problem that is causing the lack of touch screen sensitivity, it would be covered by the warranty as long as the problem was not caused by accidental damage - like dropping the iPad, getting it wet, letting it get too cold, too hot ...something like that.
See if this helps. Close all of the apps in the recents tray and then reboot your iPad.
Tap the home button first. Then double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I have cracked the underscreen on my iphone but not the top screen. Leaving LED lines down my screen is this reparable with a standard iphone screen repair costing £80?

Apple UK replaces the iPhone with a refurbished item for £119 assuming it is a 3G to a 4 (4S is £139 )
Was the screen replaced at an Apple Store if so you are OK however if by a 3rd party
you may have disqualified yourself for the refurb special price

Well it could be more than one thing got damaged. Ball Park for a screen, Non-Retina, is smoewhere around $500. Retina is more. But then it could also be some other part or parts inside the main case. No way of telling until Apple checks it out.
