No. "switchport voice vlan" works only if configured on the swtch directly connected to the phone.

Hi everyone,
At customer setup they have implemented VOIP and as they have to meet the deadlines for this project and they are in rush they want all the switch ports where users are connected should be configured for voice vlan.
As we have server,printers and other devices also connected to these switches.
if i configure int range fa0/1 - 48 with voice vlan command will it cause any issue to devices connected to the switch other than user PC?

Any issues to ports w/o a VoIP phone but configured with a voice VLAN? Well, broadcast traffic on the VoIP VLAN will go to each port configured with a voice VLAN, but on a VoIP VLAN I wouldn't expect there to be too much of this traffic. So it shouldn't be significant.

New Voice Mail showing on home phone, but I don't have voice mail

This is the third time in a year that this happened on my FIOS Digital Phone service and it is annoying. I don't have voice mail activated, but out of the blue I show a "New Voice Mail" message on my caller ID screen. If I access my account it shows no voice mails and shows I don't have voice mail set up/activated as it should. I hate having to go through all the phone prompts and delays to get this fixed as I had to do in the past. I AM HOPING A VERIZON EMPLOYEE WILL READ THIS AND CONTACT ME PRIVATELY TO FIX THIS. I especially hate this happening because it takes away the time/date display on my phone while giving me this bogus message. HELP,

Switchport voice vlan : untagged / none / dot1p

Hope anyone can shed light on this.
When "switchport voice vlan <keyword>" is configured, a Cisco IP Phone will be instructed via CDP how to deal with voice frames. According to CCNP BCMSN Official Certification Guide, a diagram suggests that when using "untagged" as keyword, IP Phone will use a Special 802.1Q trunk case so that 802.1p bits can be set. It also shows a table which seems to contradict the diagram as the CoS bits column indicates no 802.1p bits are set.
So, can any one tell me the difference in terms of 802.1Q, 802.1p, and native vlan how each mode:untagged/dot1p goes about?
My understanding is that with dot1p IP Phone will use 802.1Q using VLAN 0 (null or "native" vlan) merely for frames to be prioritized using 802.1p bits. As for "untagged" mode, I read somewhere that IP Phone would also use 802.1Q vlanid=1025, again, just for 802.1p bits to be set. But "untagged" seems to me like "none" when it comes to how the IP PHone will forward its voice frames.

My understanding is the following:
with dot1Q - it will trunk using dot1q encapsulation
with dot1p - it will use ISL encapsulation
with untagged - native VLAN configured on the port.

Once native is configured switch will communicate with PC with no vlan tags but will add NATIVE VLAN TAG when packets are forwarded to the LAN. SO when you configure NATIVE VLAN - this is the VLAN that switch add the tag into packets.
At the same time once tagged packets with NATIVE VLAN arrive to switch port destined to PC, switch will remove trunking enxapsulation (otherwise packets will be discarded by PC) and will send packets to PC
Similar rule is applicable to IP Phone.

Sometimes it happened during a phone conversation, sometimes without any reason during a day. Just I was out of connection for incoming calls. But it happened without any warnings on my iphone. After I have upgraded firmware to 4.1, this problem disappeared (baseband 2.10.04). But a week ago I upgraded firmware to 4.3.3 and my problem appeared again (4.10.01). I changed SIM-card, but it didn't help. How can solve this problem? I want to downgrade baseband to 2.10.04. Are there another solutions?

Did you buy it in Turkey (Turkcell or Vodafone)? If you did so, you have 2 years warranty from Gempa,KVK or another company for your iPhone. Also many technical services repair iPhones if you bought it from a foreign country though no luck from Gempa in this case. As I know there is no Genius Bar or AppleCare option for Turkey.

Some advice from various locations on the web (use google). Each works for some users, not all. Give these a try.
Try to deauthorize the computer then authorize it.
select song or app. that's not authorized, itunes will ask for your password, enter password, click ok, and ok again. Done.
I had the same problem when I switched from my laptop to a macbook. What I figured out was that I had purchased applications under two different email addresses. You can click on one of the applications that is not syncing and go to "File" then "Get Info" to find out what email address you used to purchase those applications. Hopefully this helps.

Ghost Excel workbook opens each time I start excel and prevents formulas - tried all suggested solutions without luck

When I start excel and open any workbook a 'ghost' work book opens it doesn't contain cells and is just greyed out. When I am working on a document whenever I start to write a formula the ghost wbook opens and I cannot see the original document to complete
the formula. If I open multiple workbooks I sometimes get a ghost workbook for each doc that is open - after a while I get error message to say not enough reources to do even simple tasks like save work or open a document.
I have posted on several forums and tried all suggested solutions without luck - this is really preventing me from using excel which I need daily. Personally though I am only intermediate user I think it may have something to do with a workbook that I downloaded
that had macros in it but I cant be sure

Hi Dave,
First make sure have installed the latest update. Second, we can repair Office 2013 from Control Panel > Programs and Features. Third, open Excel 2013 in safe mode, if it works fine, disable some 3rd-party application add-ins.
Could you please share a screenshot of this “ghost” workbook and upload it to OneDrive? I’ll analyze it in detail as soon as accessing it.

The problem seems to me a hardware problem, and may be poor assembly. Noticed that incoming calls on my first 4s when vibrator was on, made an extra vibrating noise - i.e. loose speaker, printboard or what do I know.
This does not occur on the phone I purchased yesterday, waiting for the other at the repairshop.

iCloud does not store music except in two ways. First, you can redownload music previously purchased from the iTunes store should you ever need to (as long as the songs are still available); which is referred to as "iTunes in the Cloud" (but has nothing to do with your personal iCloud account). Secondly, you can store your music library in iCloud (up to 25,000 songs) if you subscribe to a fee-based service called iTunes Match (see http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/). If you subscribe to iTunes Match you can keep your music in iCloud, but (at least at the current time) when you listen to this music it is simultaneously downloaded to your phone so it ends up using some of you phone's capacity anyway.
