Phone adds + to some numbers in contact list

phone adds a + to all numbers from my contact list that start with 571, making them international calls and prohibitive. When I enter the number in directly I can call, but not if a bring it up from the contact list

At some point in the past, I synched with Gmail. Looking at my Gmail contacts, I can see that it's missing the same contacts I'm currently missing from the iPhone. Is it possible that I may have done that sync back in October 2009 (but not since) and then somehow recently over-wrote my contacts content with whatever was there? Is there some setting I could have tripped to make something like that happen?

   My new iPhone 4 is on the way from Verizon, and I too am moving on from the LG Versa (a poor man's iPhone) so I've researched this. I trust you have been using the backup assistant on the LG phone to backup your contacts? If so, and you investigate the app store you will see an app for doing the same task on you new iPhone. Initially it will take you LG contacts you have backed up at Verizon to their new home on the iPhone.
According to user comments there appear to be a couple of issues with the app you need to be aware of:
   1. It will not automatically backup your iPhone, you will need to initiate updates in the future on your own. and
   2. You will see in the comments, that there have been some issues with length of backup when you add lots of contact photos to your list.
   This coupled with the address book sync from your computer should make your list whole, in fact the move to the iPhone will allow me to consolidate my address book with my cell phone contacts. Then once I remove the duplicates all will be right with the world.

Cannot add groups to Lync 2013 contact list

Just recently we've had reports (and I can verify this myself) in the Lync 2013 client if you add a group to the contact list, it says "Cannot perform this action, and the cause is unknown. Contact your support team to investigate this problem."
There is no issue adding individual users to the lync contact list, just if you search for a group (for example, Accounting) and this group is an easy way to add lets say 5 accounting associates to lync instead of individually adding each person at a
time.
Any idea how to diagnose this? In checking my Lync client version I get this:

Problem with Facebook status blocking phone numbers in contact list

Unlike a lot of users, I don't mind that my Facebook contacts merge with my other contacts. However, I am having a problem with viewing all the information in some of the individual profiles. It seems that whenever someone updates their FB status, the status posts where the phone number usually is. The only way to view the phone info for these contacts is to "edit" the entry, then you can see the phone info. Does anyone know if there is any way to eliminate the status update from the contact information?

I don't mind seeing their updates, I don't even mind seeing the update on the individual contacts page. I mind not being able to see the phone number field in my contacts list. I have a friend that has the original Droid and he stated that the update is at the bottom of the screen, not the top covering the phone number. Why is it that on a phone with so much "ability" that it has to put the Facebook status field over the phone number?

Add hard pause + extension numbers to contact list...

I have to call some numbers with extensions. In my old phone I am able to add a hard pause to the number before the extension. I can dial the phone number, the hard pause will let the automatice operator answer, then when the auto message is finished, the pause will stop and dail the extension by itself. Can I do that do the new Nokia 5310?

I have a Nokia N95 8GB and have the same problem. I can key in a number and dial it, but am unable to dial from the contact list or from the call register. If I restart the phone, I am able to dial numbers from my phone book, but after some time, the same problem takes over. Any suggestions?

Phone numbers in contact list disappeared after last SW-Update

everything worked fine until this week. My contacts were synchronized with outlook exchange. I got all contact phone & email details.
Now, I see only email addresses of my contacts. Forcing manual synchronization don't help. It seems that the synchronization works fine but there are still no phone numbers available. A mobile phone without stored phone number is a nightmare!
Can somebody help me?

Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:

Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. For Notes, if they are only on your phone I suggest you open them one by one and email them to your self so you have a backup of the text. You can then go to Settings>iCloud and turn Notes to Off, then back On. Then try creating a new note and see if it syncs properly to icloud.com and to your Mac. If so, and if turning it notes off deleted the notes from your phone, you'll have to open each email and copy and paste the text into a new Note.
My own experience with photo stream syncing photos to iPhoto is that it works great. iPhoto automatically receives new photos from photo stream, and if configured to in iPhoto settings, it also saves a copy of the images to your iPhoto library so they are backed up.

I ve just gt my first apple and wondering how do I put my email address in to contacts

This is not one of Apple's better designs. Mail help gives several ways to do this. I do it this way:
1 - Open the Address Book application - the brown thing with a white '@' on it
2 - Click the '+' sign at the bottom of the name column
3 - Paste address onto 'Email'
