All of a sudden, my phone says "No SIM"...what do I do? I can see my contacts etc and could get texts...weird

Did you get another SIM or borrow a SIM and try to see if the phone works with it?

I updated to the iSO6 and my phone now keeps crashing  while saying, "Invalid SIM." What do I do?

Thank you very much! I actually tried doing that with a paper clip but was not successsful. I feel I tried plugging in the clip in in every possible way and it still did not work. Is there is a special trick to the way this needs to be done? I felt like if I kep pushing, I was going to damage the device.

My phone all of the sudden is off and won't turn back on.

    Hi Ashley0607,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your iPhone 5.
Follow the steps below if the iPhone is not powering on:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
I hope this information helps ....
    Have a great day!

  • Why does my phone all of the sudden keep saying "searching"?

I have a new 4s.  Got it on Oct 14th and have had zero problems.  Well all of the sudden it constantly says "searching" and will then say AT&T then freeze for a second then go back to "searching."  I have an AT&T MicroCell which has given me no problems.  I disconnected that and the same thing happens, so I know its no my MicroCell.  I reset the network settings to no avail.  I'm gonna see if this goes away by tomorrow morning, if not then I'm gonna restore the phone via iTunes.  Anyone experience this?  I doubt my phone is defective.  Could this be an iOS 5 bug?

Turning your Sim Pin off may help, although this step + a Back Up/Restore may be required.

  • HT4994 my new i phone suddenly says no sim card installed. Any ideas about whats going on

Help any ideas my I phone says no sim card installed

The SIM card might not be resting properly in the tray which causes the issue. Remove pop out the SIM card, turn off the phone, make sure it's resting properly and firmly into the tray, pop it back in, and turn on your phone!
    This should solve your question

  • No signal on phone all of a sudden

My phone is all of a sudden searching for a signal but my wifi is working.  My signal will once in a while come back but then when i go to send a message, it goes back to searching for service. I tried turning my phone on and off several times, checked my settings...  How do I fix this?

i am having the same problem here the only sim that gets signal is t-mobile try that sim and see if that works other than that none of the other sims work it says no service
i recommend you take it to apple store if you have warranty on it but first you will need to book an appointment for one of the apple geniuses to look at the problem and if its not fixable then they will arrange to give you a replacement phone

  • Why is my phone all of a sudden rebooting?

I woke up this morning and when I was using my phon, it randimly rebooted and when I press my lock button it takes forever for the screen to come up. Also when I just opened my photos it said restoring And most of my photos had been deleted. My phone is not jailbroken but I barely have any storage left (Under 1 GB)
i can't afford to buy a new phone and all my iCloud storage is used up sadly. Does anybody know a solution to this problem without me having to restore my phone?

  • My iPad suddenly says "No SIM"

My iPad suddenly shows a "No SIM" in the upper left area where the connections are usually shown.  That spot previously showed vertical lines to indicate the strength of the signal being received. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks. Connie

I just found someone else's question about this and tried their advice to toggle the "Airplane Mode" from "OFf" to "ON" and then back "Off" again.  There was a brief "No Service" message, but then it worked, and my signal lines are now back.
    Hope this helps someone else.

  • New phone - all of a sudden I have 400 old pictures

So I just got the S4 mini after having a basic phone for many years. I was playing around and went into my pictures where I was surprised to find 400+ pictures and videos that I haven't seen in years. I haven't done anything online and had no idea these were being saved anywhere. I deleted a lot of them off of my phone that I didn't want for various reasons but I wonder now if they still exist somewhere. Where did these pictures come from? How did they show up on my phone? How can I delete them permanently if I wanted to?

You are not an idiot. Went to Verizon class...and asked the same question...where'd they come from. I was told I had to delete all those photos that popped up on my new Galaxy 4 photo by photo...I said that didn't make sense, I had 160 photos in one album. Then she told me they were all my Picassa photos and I couldn't remove them from phone, I had to go to to my PC and remove them there...I said that didn't make sense...I had to delete all my photos from my laptop on my Picassa site to get them off my cell...what was I supposed to do with all my photos just delete all my albums and photos....still don't know the answer, will try to remove Picassa app from my cell phone and find another way to handle my photos.

  • Lightroom all of a sudden says "This file could not be found"?

This happened over night and I don't know what to do about it?

Photos aren't contained in the catalog, their locations and adjustment settings are, but the photos themselves are just on the hard-drive, somewhere.  If something else, outside of LR deleted those photos or moved them, then LR wouldn't know that, and indicate they are missing.
Are the photos still on your hard-drive or not?  And what is an example path where LR thinks they should be?
Are they in a different location on the hard-drive than they used to be?
When you Import photos into LR it remembers where they are, but if you do something to them outside of LR, not using LR's Folder Panel, then it will still expect them to be at the Import location, and if they are not, then you'll see question marks or exclamation points with a message about them not being where they originally were.
One mistake that could have been made, is that you imported photos into a LR catalog and that catalog remembers them one place, then you opened a new LR catalog and did a Move import, which would move them some other location and they'd be remembered in that second catalog correctly, but not in the first catalog, anymore.  If you only have one LR catalog then this is probably not what happened.

  • Help.  I have been printing from my iPad to my home wireless printer for months.  All of the sudden it says. No printer found.  Shut off the printer and restarted. Still no luck.

I have been printing from my ipadto my wireless printer for months. All of the sudden says no printer found.  Restart eyed printer still no luck.  Help

Have you tried to reboot your iPad? Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try agian.
Also, try power cycling your router. Meaning, unplug it, count to 10, then plug it back in. Let it reboot and see if that helps.
