(Phone) Anniversary coming up

Debating between a Razr Maxx or IPhone. Are they equal in texting (wide keyboard, larger letters?), what else are the pros and cons?

Well the Razr has bigger keyboard and I would have got an IPhone but after having two phones and now the Razr with 4.3 inch screen I wont go to a 3.5 like IPhone. I am waiting for IPhone5 to come out which rumor has it will have larger screen pus many other good things. I have had it with android and Apple has the best products with less problems and Viruses

Phone anniversary coming up tomorrow.....

Still like my Incredible, not giving me problems, but when I decide, should I go for the IPhone or Razr Maxx. pros and cons? Need something with a good earpiece too sometimes I feel so deaf. And easier, wider buttons, for texting since my fingers sometimes hit the neighboring keys.

I love how I can go to the apple store and have it fixed right away. I've had not really a lot of problems with the iPhone. 4g isent where I am so when I tried a 4g phone it didn't work as well for me. I had the thunderbolt and my husband had the razor and the mobile hotspot didn't wrk although I had the feature. It took them 14 days to figure out it was a known issue so we were close to haring to keep it but i didn't. I Would have had to wait for 2-3 month to fix something I needed. I am not saying its bad and if u do ever get a 4g phone it would be Motorola. I do live though the iPhone even if it is an old one it gets updated unlike some android phones. I like how they focus on one or so a year. There not going to rush to give u something that could go really bad. They both have inside batterys. If u want something simple but fun I would get an iPhone who knows there might be a 4g iPhone by the time u want to get something. I would wait just to see the reviews on the razor max. I've learned not to jump into a brand new phone but this time I really needed a replacement to my thunderbolt.

When I send a text to another phone, it shows up on the other phone as coming from email address and not from phone number.

I just came over from Sprint 4 days ago and had my number ported over. When I send a text to another number, it shows up on the other phone as coming from email address and not my phone number. For example, if the recipient of the text has me in the contacts as "Tom", the text comes to them displaying my email address instead of "Tom".

Welcome to our family. We want you to be able to enjoy all the services we provide and we definitely need to address this. Do you receive/make calls without problems? Are you able to receive messages with your contacts' number? Are you using iMessages? If so, go to Settings>Messages>Send&Receive>only your phone number should be enabled.

Press and hold down the top corner power button and the round home button until you see the Apple then LET GO OF EVERYTHING!!
let the phone reset and see if it responds, this is a hard reset. -If you continue to have issues you may want to plug into your computer and try restoring.

um..pretty simple solution. when you bought this iphone its obviously still linked to the old sim which is probably a UK carrier. you need to contact whoever you bought it from and get them to pay the fee to use this phone on a saudi arabian sim.

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
No data is lsot due to a reset.

Weird phone numbers coming in on my iphone.

Recently both my wife and I have been receiving calls (which we don't answer)from unknown numbers starting with what seems like different country codes (+49 6101 2398 for example). They basically come in groups of 3 calls at a time. Many others are coming in now in succession. Anyone have any idea what this is about? Or have xperienced similar issues? I ask as the frequency is now increasing and I think maybe someone is trying to use our account illegally. . but not sure. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Soliz, you appear somewhat traumatized by some earlier experience that you may have had or heard about.
I know that the below is going to sound simple, but maybe the better solution would be to pick-up the phone to find out who it is, if anybody? Possibly, the caller is an acquaintance, a long lost friend from HS?
On the other hand, there may be reason to fear a person offering you a "deal that you cannot refuse," but if you don't pick up the phone, then you cannot find out whether the offer sounds like a good one or not.
If I were answering the phone, and the offer did not seem beneficial to me, then I would say goodbye, as soon as I could extract myself from the situation.

I've had my phone since last November, so I'm rushing to sort this out because my garuntee will run out soon! I'm in a residential college and my phone keeps Sim failing up to thirty times a day at least! had this problem ever since I got the phone, gone to the orange store and they sent me to apple, I dont have an apple store anywhere near where I live different customer services tell me different things, change your sim, update and have tried both, my temperary solution is to re boot my phone but because i dont know when it sim fials till I look at my phone, I only find out thatt I've missed inportant phone calls and old messages when I turn it back on, then five minutes later it Sim Fails again! I'm so frustrated because obvously I'm away form home and its been a buger to sort out I htink I've just ran out of choices. Is the phone carrier locked to O2 (sounds like it is)? Unless your friend requested they unlock it before giving it to you (ie. while it was still on an account on their network), it will be carrier locked to them.
You can contact O2 and ask them about unlocking it (they do support unlocking) but I don't know what they will tell you now that the account is closed and it is off their network. Regardless, they are the only ones who can help you with a phone locked to their network.

IOS7.1.2 Update on 5S...Phone not coming out of recovery mode

After the recent update ios7.1.2 5S doesn't come out of the Recovery mode....Even on hard resetting the iphone i still see the "itunes and connector symbol" on the iphone. Not sure how to get rid of this. Could you please help me get back my phone to normal condition ? Nothing seems to work

The 3G was never sold as unlocked in the USA. So this phone has been hacked to work with any carrier. Updating it will remove the hack and re-lock it to AT&T making it usless to you. If you can avoid buying it I would. If you still want to purchase it... NEVER UPDATE.
