It appears that when you remote lock the iPod you also provide the passcode required t unloct the iPod. You can can always unlock/use the devce again by placing the iPod in recovery mode and restore via iTunes.

Phone application is using a lot of CPU

Hi everyone, I'm new here but I've been a blackberry user for several years with only a few minor issues.
Model: Curve 9300, provider- orange
This issue presented itself a week ago, seemingly unprompted by me. I didn't (intentionally) do a software update and I didn't download any new apps.
For the past week now, my blackberry's battery life has only been lasting about 6 hours at a time, maximum. Previously, it would go a full day or more without dying on me. I assumed this was just some rapid deterioration of the battery but when I did some googling today, I found that this is a common issue that a few people had in the summer of 2011. I have also noticed the little black timer appearing on the screen a lot at random points.
When I checked my CPU useage under the Application management section, it says my phone application has been in use for 16 hours of today, same for yesterday, however when I look back at the previous week, I see that I'd only used 20 hours in an entire week back when the phone's battery worked to a satisfactory level. I'm guessing this is what is draining my battery life and so buying a new battery won't resolve the issue. As I've been typing this, the phone useage has jumped up to 100% for no reason at all.
A few sources say to update my software but it says I have the newest version. (6.0 bundle 2534).
Sorry if I'm a little useless about this, I've never even knowingly updated the software before so I may take a little guiding through everything.

Of course there could be something wrong in your code. Can you post an SSCCE that reproduces this behaviour?

I get exactly the same error on Windows 8.1 Enterprise. After installing Windows Phone Emulator via MobileTools_EmulatorWP81GDR1. I did repair of "Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 SDK and Emulators - ENU" but the error persists.
Any news regarding solution to this issue?

Why there isn't phone application in mini iPad wifi cellular version? It has nano sim tray and the nano sim is recognized with carrier name. If no phone application than what is the use of nano sim? Is there a way to install phone application similar to the one in iPhone so we can use mini iPad as phone in the field if iPhone runs out of battery.

The answer is very simple: You were not the original owner of the phone. Target sold you a phone that had been returned. You can verify the date of the original sale here: Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage. I suspect you will find that the warranty expiration date is not one year from the date that you bought it.

HT200150 I need help with the Find my Phone application

We found my daughters phone using the Find my Phone application. Before we found it, I locked it so that no one could use it. Now I am in able to unlock it because I can't seem to remember the password. Is there anyway around this?

If you found the phone and cant remember the password, you will need to plug it into itunes and restore it to factory settings.

am i missing something. the number box at the top of the keypad of the phone application is gone.
why?????????? do they now assume that you either dial the number or it is in contacts.
what about a number which is not in contacts and which you want to copy and paste.......????

Phone application locks up and unusable after 2.1 - how to fix?

After upgrading to 2.1, my phone application has become unusable 3 times. The previous 2 times I seemed to be able to get it unlocked by resetting a number of times but this last time I haven't been able to.
When I press the phone button, I get the dial screen but the green "Call" button doesn't have the text "Call" in it, none of the dial keys work and I can't select "Favorites", "Recents", "Contacts", or "Voicemail". Eventually the phone times out back to the Home screen. I have tried holding down the home key until the application terminates and tried the phone again but the same thing happens.
What to do? Is there a reason this might be happening that I can fix? Restore or should I be returning the phone to the Apple store for replacement?

I haven't restored since updating to 2.1 I have backed up several times but by restore do you mean a reload of the firmware and the saved data or just a restore of the saved data?

Backup corruption cause phone application to crash

Ok,
So I have exchanged my iPhone 4 three times now because it keeps crashing and restarting all by its self. There is no reason as to why it crashes, I cold just be sitting there and it just shuts off and restarts its self. so I took it into apple and they gave me a new one, this has happened twice. Then just recently, my iPhone 4 crashed three times in three days (Crashing meaning it restarted its self) and then it would allow me to use my phone application to make outgoing calls, this is the main phone for the iPhone, not a third party application. So I took it in and they didn't know what was wrong so they gave me a new one, again. So, I have figured out that I can no longer use my most recent backup to get my phone back the way it was without having the phone app crash repeatedly. So, does anyone know how I would get all my information back on my phone without using the corrupted backup?

That depends on what you mean by "all my information." Contacts, photos, and calendars can and should be synced to apps on your computer or cloud service (MobileMe, Yahoo, Google, Exchange) and are synced back, not involving the phone backup. Apps and iTunes media are synced to the iTunes library and also are not in the backup. Photos are synced to an app as well
As far as things included in the backup - phone settings, app settings and data, SMS messages, etc, there are apps for your computer that can extract some of these, but since you don't know what is corrupted and causing the crashes, I don't suggest trying to put any of it back in the phone.

Phone Applications Gone! Help me please

Yesterday I made a back up of my 6270, and subsequently formatted the memory card (due to a problem with the camera which had previously been solved this way) and restored the back up file on my phone.
This morning I noticed that my phone applications (i.e. calculator, world clock, etc.) and games are all gone!
Why did this happen? How can I restore these applications?

I really don't think that these applications were installed on the memory card. I am talking about the applications that come with the phone, and I am using a different memory card now.
Curiously, other applications I installed later are still there.
Does anyone know how the original phone applications can be restored?

Severe Phone application issues

I have a Palm Centro smartphone.
Im having problems with the phone randomly freezing when I answer calls. Some calls it does freeze, some calls it doesnt. This means lost calls if the number is private, cant call them back. When I go to dial a number it freezes also, randomly. The whole screen freezes in both cases and the more buttons I press the longer the freeze lasts for but it is at least for 10-20 seconds. Almost all phone calls that get frozen are lost. I have also noticed the Phone Application going slow during phone calls when I have to dial in numbers e.g. for phone banking. Another thing ive noticed is random dropping out. I didnt have this problem with other phones.
I have tried a hard reset and a soft reset. As this appears to be an issue with the Phone Application, is there any way I can update the firmware of my device, or get a new version of the Phone Application? Can I download them?

so far, there is no updates for the unlock version of centro that you can download. it's only the sprint version who has available update.
i would suggest if you can do another hard reset and do not hotsync your device to the current username you are using.
test it to receive calls and see if it will still froze. since most of the calls that you will be getting are unknown owing to the fact that your phone doesn't contain any data.
if you phone will not freeze at that particular state then the cause of the freezing are the informations you are syncing in.
if that is the case, hotsync the phone using another username. in other words, create a new username when you hotsync the phone.
you can just import all your important data to the palm desktop and resync it. with regards to 3rd party apps, you can reinstall it back to the device using the install tool since those are PRC's and PDB's.
