i upgraded my C7 to belle and while updating i got yhe error 12048. also i di ot got back my phone data....nokia please help.....
Make sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger, and the screen is locked. If it still won't back up to iCloud you may have an app or something in your camera roll that is causing the backup to fail. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If the backup is successful, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is causing the backup to fail and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.

I went thru upgrade to ios7, then a few days later there was an alert in settings, so I clicked on the update to THAT upgrade... then my phone went black... no turning off or on. So I plugged into my PC and it will only show an iTunes logo a small white arrow up and then a pic of hte cord attached.... computers won't recognize phone, but sometimes show a 'device' there, but no opening anything... and it shows NO device driver for apple iphone. what's happened??? I have a iPhone 5. In usage, it says i have 2.1 gigs used because of photos and camera. I have deleted all my photos via iPhoto and now reset the phone back to factory settings in order to try to solve this problem, to no avail. Both iTunes and the phone say that 2.1 gigs are being used, even though the phone now has nothing on it. What is going on?
Yeah it works fine over wifi the problem is when I try to use it over my 3G. It's really stressing me out now.

How can i restore my iphone which was erased by iCloud?? I got my phone back but it wont work when i connect to iTunes.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

My iPhone was stolen. I used Find My iPhone app to lock it and display a message. The phone has not connected to the internet to locate it. I contacted the police and they have taken my meid number. How does this work and what are my chances of getting the phone back? Are there other ways the theif can use it. I was told once they put in a new sim card and use it, whatever software the police have, it will show up.
Honestly? In the US (I can't speak to other countries, though I doubt it works much differently in a lot of the world) The police took your report and filed it either in their computers or, on paper. They will now not think of this again. The only time it will cross anyones mind is if, in the course of entering information into evidence about items recovered or seized at a crime scene, the serial number of an iPhone that was found/seized happens to match yours, in which case you will be contacted.
The police in the US can and will do nothing to 'blok' the phone and it's not worth their time to try and locate it unless you know for a fact that it was stolen by a big time drug lord, master criminal, or some other such prime target and they can get a court order to track the location of the phone in order to locate this individual for your own purposes. If they do that, they'll probably keep him under surveilance for a year or so before they act.
Basically, the police don't care about your phone. If they find it, they will give it back to you. They are not, however, going to go looking for it. They have better things to do.

I have had a 3GS for 2+ years. After upgrading to IOS 4 (now 4.3.5) I began having problems. In the past week, my screen went to the itunes logo and USB cable twice -- unprovoked -- just found it sitting there like that! I connected to itunes and it did restore from a backup but it is a major inconvenience. I am also searching for answers, but better back-up regularly!

My iphone is not working, i was planning on getting the iphone 5s for christmas, but i do not have my phone backed up on itunes. On my screen are these blue lines across on my screen, and i cant see anthing and i do not know what to do. I want to back up my phone but i cant see my screen to back it up. I need help badly. You wouldn't need to see the screen to backup unless you have a passcode on the device. Is that the case? You should be able to plug the device into the computer with iTunes and just select backup now.

Lost phone by transit...I just want my phone back
Ok so my iphone 5s which was in top condition because i went out and bought an otter box. So over time i released i started having problems with my speakers. For example: if i put my phone on my speaker the person on the other side could not hear me. So i checked my warranty and since i got the phone in January its still covered. The phone is an gold edition iphone 5s. I called apple and they sent me a box where i could place my phone in and ship it back to apple. Now i have done this many times before with my other iphones because for some reason i always get broken iphones without softwares. So i get the box on 09/13/2014 and on Tuesday night which goes to Wednesday mail time 9/17/2014 my phone is in the mail place waiting to be shipped. Now i go online 9/21/201 and see that for the service request is still on step 1. Now as i noted i have done this plenty of times before with apple and i have gotten a replacement/returned phone within three days. So since it hasnt moved from step one i was worried and contacted apple. They have no information on my phone or where it might be at all. Fedex has no idea where my phone might be. My apartment has had no returned products back to my place. So i contact apple again and apparently their customer service has no online chat you have to call. Thing is i dont have a phone and cant borrow one. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET MY PHONE BACK, MY LITTLE MIND TOLD ME NOT TO SEND IT IN BUT I DID ANYWAY AND NOW IM STUCK WITHOUT A PHONE AND APPLE DOESNT CARE. I WILL NEVER EVER SEND MY PHONE TO EVER GET REPAIRED IF I GET THIS ONE BACK. I PULLED ALL A.S IN SCHOOL SO THAT I COULD BUY MYSELF THIS GIFT AND NOW ITS GONE.

DO YOU THINK THERES ANY CHANCE I CAN GET MY PHONE BACK????I would assume you copied the tracking number on the package? If so, simply go to Fedex (or whatever carrier it was) and check that tracking number and/or call them to ask what happened to it. And/or you do have the record of Apple sending you an email about the matter?
If Fedex (or Apple) has no record and you do not have any proof that you shipped it, I don't believe that anyone can do anything. Not sure if your home insurance would cover this - probably not, but it's worth a phone call. -
I tried to sync and upload the iOS 5.0 version to my iphone 4 all was well it was processing then it just stopped and Now my actual I phone is frozen. I have turned it off. I have rebooted it several times the I phone itself shows a CD with a music not over it and under it in small letters iTunes with an arrow pointing up wards and a picture of the small end cable on the screen . it will not move change unlock it is frozen into that position.. how do i get the useage of my phone back this is rather daunting wehn all i was trying to do was up load the most recent version upgrade of iOS.. THe phone is NOT jail broken.. all i want to do is have it return back to how it was before i started the updae version process obviously it did not take and now it is locked into plave the screen will not change.. after reboots and shut down when i turn it back on the same screeen appears the cd disc with the music note over it and the arrow pointing upwards and a picture of the small end of the charge cord that fits into the actual compute.. The phoen is not jail broken all i want is to get my phone back so i can use it i logged into i tunes and there is no where on the page that gives direction to return it back to its original format prior to trying to up grade .. whe at do i need to do to unlock the frozen compent and reutrn it back to its normal point prior to trying the upgrade

Support problem. The adviser tried to diagnose the failure of an application called JOTNOT PRO to update. He said he'd phone back at 8pm. I pick up his call at 8pm. Electronic voice: thank you for calling apple. We are now closed" So now I have 2 problems: the adviser had got me to reset so bye bye wifi passwords and settings. And then when he phones back as we agreed he's not actually on the phone, it's just a voice saying Apple Support is now closed! What on earth is going on at apple support I wonder.
Anyway, the original problem: an application called JotNot Pro fails to update. The error message says something like "you cannot update this cos either you bought it with a different Apple ID or somebody else bought it."
Neither applies. Can anybody help?
PS. This is my first approach to the support community so please bear with me!

2 iphone 4, 1 computer. i upgraded to ios 5 and just updated my wifes phone as well. her phone got wiped of all apps and all my contacts were put on her phone. we had been using the same apple id but different user acct on our laptop. How do i get her phone back to normal??
Have your wife log in to her user account on the laptop. Launch iTunes, then connect her phone to the computer with the USB cable. Sync. That should put back all apps and media. Since you already upgraded her to iOS 5 she'll have to manually enter all her settings and preferences, and organize her home screens.

How do I transfer data from my phone back to a new iTunes after losing my HD?
Hi all, my computer got hammered by a power spike and I lost all three hard drives. Gone is not only my iTunes library but the backup on a seperate disk. I've installed new disks and loaded a clean install of iTunes. I turned off auto sync so my data would not be wiped off the iPhone. But please, how dop i get it to transfer what's on my phone back to my iTunes library?
Many thanks in advance.I've used Migration Assistant in the past and it's working like a champ. You either want to connect your MBPs using a Firewire cable or have them connected to the same router with Ethernet cabling. Don't attempt a wifi transfer - it could take a whole day.

It will be backed up on your computer and can later be restored to an iOS device using iTunes, if desired. Of course, if your hard drive crashes you'll lose it if it isn't backed up somewhere else. If you want to included it in your computer backup, it will be located at one of the following locations:
Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup
Windows XP: %AppData%\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
Windows Vista: %AppData%\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

I was updating to the IOS 8 thru ITunes on my 4S when it came unplugged from the computer (dumb dog). Now the phone just has an image of plugging in to the ITunes icon and when I plug it in it says its in recovery mode and needs to be restored to original settings and I will lose all of my contacts/photos/etc. Is there a way to reverse this and just get my 'old' phone back with all of my stuff? I only have the free ICloud storage so I know most of my stuff will be lost. Yes I know..,hindsight is 20/20 on buying the backup. Help please!
In short. No, you cannot unsync. If you had a back up from your old iPhone you cand restore from a back up.
In iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Devices > and select the latest back up.
Before you synced your phone did you have it set up with the PhotoStream or iCloud? The pictures would be saved there. Or if you had them sync to a file on your computer. -
during IOS5 update my phone was disconnected from itunes. i reconnected it and continued the update by clicking 'continue restore'. Itunes is now saying the the phone is updated to version 5 and appears to have fully synced. however, when i turned the phone back on i have the set-up screen and when i select to restore the phone through itunes i get a message with options to 'continue restore' or 'delete backup'. when i select 'continue restore' itunes then gives me an 'error -50' message and just syncs the phone but nothing seems to happen - the phone does not do anything.
Should i delete the back up and start over, or will that delete all my contacts?

The release of iTunes 11.0.2 and iOS 6.1.2 for my iPhone 4, seems to have sorted everything. I can now sync music, films and photos between my MacBook and my phone.
I was dubious about blindly doing the updates but decided they couldn't really mess up any further functionality so I went for it and it's sorted now.
Look in to, and take the gamble, it's up to you.

Formatting of the cd/dvd failed
I have a windows 7 Home premium PC with SP1. I am not able to format my cd/dvd using the live file system. When ever I try, after a considerable amount of time, it gives the error that formatting of the disk failed. I have tried both CD-R and CD-RW b
