Phone Choice Advice needed

Please can someone help me?
Currently as I perambulate my way through life, my pockets are loaded down with the following devices:
Nokia 5500 sport phone - Used for calls and also as bluetooth modem from my PDA
Hewlett Packard HX2400 PDA - Used to sync with outlook for all my contacts, email, diary and supporting Tomtom Navigator satnav and to connect to wifi hotspots and my home network
Ipod - obviously for storing music
Tomtom GPS receiver
Obviously, carrying this lot around with me is likely to result in severe back problems in later life and I am certain that somewhere out there there must be a single device which will do the same as all of the above. Can anyone with more up-to-date technical knowledge than me suggest a solution?

I am down to a choice between a Nokia 6230 or a Motorola ROKR, any advice on which is best to achieve best sync with isync?

Liked the Sony models, had not considered, but have gone for a motorola L6. Very thin, well built, good basic functionality and syncs perfect with isync 2.2.
Would prefer if it synced adress details also (only phone and email at the mo) but maybe that can be added later.

N80 menu crashing phone freezing advice needed

Hi guys i'm new on here, i've had my N80 12days and now its started to crash and freeze its completely useless to me at the moment as it wont go into any menu. Most calls go straight through to answer phone despite full signal and the battery life is **bleep** - but i've got some tips to improve that.
I rang orange who said its the softwear and the only way to fix it is to take battery out and replace it, they then said there may be softwear upgrade available.
I'm not very technical and i've not been able to find anything about this so far.

I agree here, I have has some experience with this and have taken quite a few big companes to court and won (i did this with my sendo X and pixmania) because they just try to fob you off, as a buyer you have rights, and as explained above you have the right to purchase a product and that product should work in the way intended for a reasonable amount of time, with many things reasonable actually goes beyond 12 months, but 12 months is just a nice round number.
When you speak to them just mention the office of fair trading, trading standards and offcom and watch how their attitude changes, if it does not threaten them that you are giving them 7 days notice to rectify your problems or you will take them to small claims court and claim for reimbursment and all costs involved), you can do this online, its very easy and costs about £50 (which you can claim for in the summons).
As soon as they get the summons (which is usually next day or within 24 hours) they will be more than happy to do whatever is needed to fix your problem because the last thing any company wants is a CCJ, and dont forget to tell them to send you a check for the cost of the claim, if they refuse tell them you will continue with the claim untill they fix your phone AND reimburse you with your costs.
DONT STOP THE CLAIM UNTILL YOU ARE SATISFIED.

Need more feature phone choices

I have an LG Dare touch screen phone and have been happy with it for the last 2+ years I've had it. However, it's always nice to be able to upgrade to a newer phone. As much as I would like to have a smart phone, I don't want to spend the extra money on a data plan. The only 'feature phones' that I would be interested in from Verizon would be the Pantech Crux or the LG Octane and the Octane is not a touch phone. The Kin phones don't interest me at all. For kicks, I checked the AT&T phones to see what they have to offer and have several nice looking 'quick messaging' phones that are touch screen and don't require a data plan. Why can't Verizon offer phones like this? Been waiting for months to see if Verizon would offer anything new, but alas they have not. However, they are constantly rolling out new smart phones. Verizon needs to offer more choices to their customers who want a nice feature phone and not require a data plan. Someone like me.

Advice needed on buying iphone as gift

I went to apple store, they do not want to sell iphone to me unless I sign AT&T 2 years plan. I thought AT&T has locked the phone and users must subscribe in order to use it. Why Apple store still not allow me to buy?
Please advice, if I want to buy online iphone for my brother, do I or my brother have obligation to sign out AT&T plan?
One more advice needed, I found the shipment takes weeks, do I have option to arrange for self-collection?
My brother birthday is coming soon, I need above advice urgently.

Well that's not entirely true.
Apple Stores have been instructed not to sell you an iPhone if any of the following is true:
You state that you will not be signing up with AT&T.
You do not have an ID from a US state, also indicating you will not be activating with AT&T
You do not have a credit card

Was this former-feature now an oversight?? I'd really appreciate having my Bluetooth once again listed as a choice of audio option. Sorry to tell you but unless you have a Retail Apple Store close by, they are the only ones I have found with all the adapters and accessories. I bought an extra lightning to usb adapter the other day to use in my truck. Good luck....

Why do i keep getting 'to use data on your phone,you'l need add on pack' texts?

I ordered a pay as you go sim card from EE a few weeks ago to use in my iphone 5 as a second/work phone. The package on the sim is a 'top up £1 and get some free mins and texts (no data allowance)' plan. I put the sim card in my phone and have left the phone at home and not put any credit on it yet or used it at all, ( not even any apps/calls etc ). Every day when i come to look at the phone there are atleast 4 text messages a day from EE saying 'To use data on your phone, you'll need an add-on pack Click here to buy'. I am getting sick of this as i have turned mobile data off in the settings and my phone is constantly connected to my home wi-fi so cannot see how it would even by using any data. Today i have come home to 8 of these messages! I refuse to top my phone up with credit and start using it until this is sorted as im not paying for any data usage i wont use! There are no apps running in the background, and nothing has been set up on the phone that would require internet usage i.e. emails / weather etc. Please can someone help me... Thanks

Okay, that means with the latest iOS software, it requires the latest version of iTunes on the computer. Which computer OS platform are you using. Now you are saying that after downloading the latest version of iTunes that your iPhone is not being recognized by iTunes? Completely different thing, and the iTunes on the iPhone has nothing to do with that anyway. The iTunes on the iPhone is just for purchases.
If you are having trouble with the iPhone being recognized by iTunes, use the appropriate link for your computer OS for assistance.

So just to be clear, when you say "just bought" how long ago was that? Is it on this new iPhone that you had pictures, texts, etc that you want? Were you backing up to iCloud or onto iTunes?
This may not help for everything but if you go to iCloud.com and log in, are you able to find your pictures there?

Your MacBook Pro can be updated to run Mac OS X "Snow Leopard". Buy it. That will enable you to run the latest iTunes version.
