Phone died after 20 seconds in water

I sumberged only this part of the phone in sea water for 23 seconds (exactly how long the video I took is). Then I washed it with proper water to clean it and after a couple minutes the screen went dead and there was some condensation inside the lens. Didn't know what to do so I put the phone in rice for 48 hours. The condensation is now gone but the phone won't turn on or vibrate. The charging led turns on when I try to charge it but goes off after 15 minutes give or take. And I also checked the leakage indicator. It's completely white. Plus I'm very certain the flaps were completely closed especially the one in that side as I never actually open it. What should I do? Do you think Sony will fix it?

I was gonna post this but then i saw you post it i've had the same exact problem but i submerged the whole thing for a like at most 5 min. and the led light works and the water indicator is green! i triple checked the ports and almost everything u did I thank you for posting this

My Iphone 4 died 5 days ago it just felt for a few seconds into the ocean.
I didnt turned it off because my standbye button doesnt work. So after my phone had no battery anymore I put it into the electircal outlet and it apperad first the apple logo and then it was written there connect to itunes.
Well but when I took the charging cable out to connect it with my mac book the screen gets black and i can´t turn it on. But if I connect it with itunes directly with the Usb acess the apple logo just appears for 5 seconds again and again and Itunes can´t find my Iphone on the computer.

thank you all for helping me but its not like the phone is completely damaged because the touchscreen works and i have to enter my code first and then it appears connect with itunes but i dont know how to connect it because it only appears when the iphone is on the electrical outlet.
And what happens when i reset my whole iphone you know on the left side of the top there is this little whole where you have to put a pin do you think that may would help?

I have tried to turn it on several times. I thought the battery died but after I charged it for four hours it still won't turn on. Is there a way to reset the phone? Help!!

Phone died after failed reinstall

Today AFTER checking for updates through PC Suite I decided to reinstall the OS, something I was thinking of doing for some time. Just before the process got completed a message comes up saying that "connection got lost, remove the battery and cable and put them back in..." But holding the power button didn't turn the phone on and it's been off since than... ANY HELP WILL BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

After my phone was fully submerged in water, I'm getting the overheating error message but the phone is not hot at all. Is this the result of the phone being damaged by the water?

I dropped my iPhone 4S in my friends pool. It was fully submerged for about 30 seconds.
We took it out, dried it and put it in rice. After 24 hours I checked the phone. It turns on and runs smoothly. It connects to the computer and syncs perfectly. But after a couple minutes of use I get an overheating error message. But the phone is not hot at all.
Is this the result of the phone being damaged by the water? Is there any way around this? The phone works perfectly fine and isn't overheating at all.
What can I do?

Despite the error that I get after a few minutes, the phone does work fine.
But by most peoples definition, the phone isn't working.
I just want to know if anyone has been in my boat and if the overheat message without the phone overheating can correct itself or if it goes away with sufficient drying of the phone.
I know its slim, but I figured I'd ask.

Connect iPhone to Wall Charger for 10 minutes, it may turn ON itself. If still nothing, keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until the iPhone begins to start.

Contact missing after phone died!

My phone died yesterday and when I charged it my contacts were gone. I synced my phone to itunes but my contacts would not sync. Help please!

Phone died and I put it on the charger (wall charger) and the red light keeps flashing. It's been doing that for a little less than an hour, I pulled the batttery twice & get the same light flashing. I also read othe posts and it says to just let it charge for a few hours but i don't think it's gonna work. If you know anything about it let me know please & thank you.

When connected to the charger, is the "no battery" symbol showing?
Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage). If it doesn't reboot on the first attempt, leave it several more hours. I've had one charge for two days before it came back to life after an extreme battery depletion. Every 3-4 hours, with the device still connected to the charger, you can remove and replace the battery to see if it reboots.

IPhone 5 died after installing iOS 8. Is Apple store responsible?

We installed iOS 8.0 on iPhone 5, 16 gig. The second time we tried to charge it, the phone started flashing between the low battery screen and the Apple screen. Never got it going, tried the reset and all.
Brought it to the Apple store and they told us the hardware was done. The phone died. Of course, 1 year and 3 months after buying so not on warranty.
The technician said that I was missing the 2 screws at the bottom and that inside a screw was loose. I was not even aware. I told them I had the screen replaced by them the previous year which they saw in my file. They started questioning me about bringing the phone elsewhere which I didn't. They then told me, that they were sorry that couldn't do nothing for me, except selling me a new phone. Wow!!!!! So I am now paying a phone through my cell services that is not working!
My question to people out there, is it possible that the loose screw inside the phone caused damages to the hardware? Apple is not responding to me!

Could be. But if Apple has stated that unauthorized maintenance has been done to the device, then that's the final answer. Unless that store manager overturns that decision, you'll need to purchase another device.

weird could been that your back plate was lose so water leaked in :/ also red indicator voids your warranty thats why they are charging you for the repair or for new phone :/ but you could try rice method tutorial that Ullwolly or w.e his name posted some where to dry the phone fully

hay!! i beg you please help me!! sorry for my bad english sir.. yesterday my phone fell to water, but all the flaps are closed. and then when i checked it after,, water havent got inside from them because it all indicates white!! but after droping to water my phones power button did not work and volume button worked as power button,, and then somehow turned off my xperia z and then when i try to turn it back on it beep once and after two seconds it beaps 3 times and then it turned of.. when i connect my phone to charging adapter it beeps once again and after two sec it beaps 3 times and it happening on and on ,, pls help me!!! the phone is only 12 days after i purchesed it!!!

My N80 died after Software Update

Today I used Nokia Software Update to check for new firmware for my N80, version V 3.0617.0.6 03-05-206 RM-92.
I connected the phone via USB and launched the update procedure which detected a new version for the firmware. After I allowed the update procedure the FW was downloaded from the net and the phone update started. Just a minute after the phone died, the USB connection stopped and now the phone is dead, black screen, off. No way to switch it on. Please give me indication about how to solve the problem.

Try taking the battery out - waiting for 30 seconds and then put the battery back in and try switching the phone back on - does that work ? Remember that if the phone does start working, all your data will have been deleted as part of the upgrade process and you should restore the data you previously saved.
If taking the battery out didn't work then you will have to take your phone to a Nokia Service Centre for them to "recover" the phone for you.

How long have you had your phone? Because if you've had it a long time, the battery in the phone might of died on you. Or have you dropped it in water, snow, from high up? All those things could of disconnected something internally in your phone, or permentaly damaged the internal hard drive its self, or the sims card.

I have an iPhone 4S with recently updated iOS 7. Today I charged my phone to 100% and went out to watch football. When going to unlock it the image on the screen said my phone was dead and I needed to plug it in. It often does this but comes around after you plug it in for a minute. Today after 20 minutes on my radio it still said it was dead. I plugged it into the wall for a little bit but still nothing. After that I held the home button and lock button down for over 30 seconds and nothing happened. I plugged it into my computer with iTunes and my computer did not even register my phone. After an hour of sitting around watching football with it plugged into my laptop it looked like it was coming around when the white apple icon popped up, followed by the white spinning circle like it was turning on. It vibrated and still had the white circle spinning until it went blank again, right back where I started. Nothing has happened since. Does anybody know what else I can do?
