Phone frozen with itunes logo

My phone was connected to my computer via USB. Now it is frozen with the Itunes logo and a picture of the USB cord. I don't want to restore the phone because I don't want to lose everything on it. I have back up to iCloud, but I am not sure if I have new info that I wish to save. Is there any way to get it going?

Try plugging out your iPhone from your computer and hold both the power + home button until the phone power off and restarts.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I would first try a reset of the device. To reset a device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. You may need to attempt this multiple times.

- If ou can turn the iPod off, then see if manually placing the iPod in Recovery mode will allow a restore. Next try DFU mode.

What happens when you connect the iPod to your computer and try to restore via iTunes? The screen is telling your to connect the iPod to your computer with the USB cable and restore via iTunes.

Myy ipod touch is frozen and has the itunes logo on with the charger. I know I need to sync it but Im out of town and the computer is at home. Is there any other way to unfreeze it+

I'm afraid there aren't many other options at this point. You could just try to let the battery fully drain. Then connect it to an external power source, let it charge up, and see if that makes a difference.
If that doesn't help, them I am afraid your only other option is to connect to to iTunes and restore it, which would obviously have to wait until you returned home.

I brought my wife an IPhone 4S yesterday and checked with the sales guy in 02 that I can run two accounts off the same laptop as I have an IPhone as well, which he said would be fine.
However the new IPhone required an updated version, which I downloaded and then the new IPhone locked up with the ITunes Logo and the USB Cable showing. Have tried restoring but it keeps saying it needs to download the newest version iOS 5.1.1 which takes over an hour to download, but I already have the newest version dowloaded.
Please help Very Annoying!

After holding the sleep button down or even doing the hard reset the same screen comes up on my phone regardless of whether it is plugged in or not to my computer. I have turned my computer off and on again. It is plugged in and charging as it's battery life is very short. I also reset my modem and the same error message pops up. The only option on my computer when my phone is plugged in is to restore it. My firewall also allows Itunes through it. I have literally tried everything I know being someone who knows very little about technology. I also do not want to hear about how the update worked for other people. My phone has been in recovery mode for 5 hours at least now so it will just make me more frustrated if a bunch of people post about how the update worked for them.

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery...
