Phone gap build settings in Dreamweaver CS6

Hello
I have created a html/javascript app using the jquery mobile template in dreamweaver cs6.
In live view the app works as expected, however when I publish it using the phonegap build service the application fails to work.
I think this is because it relys on loading external JSON data into it. Looking at phonegap documentation I think this can be fixed by...
Allowing ExternalHosts in PhoneGap.plist.
However I cannot see this file, only config.xml.... So can it not be done using the integrated build service?

Connecting Dreamweaver with Phone Gap Build

Creating my first mobile app using Dreamweaver CS 6. I've created a site using dreamweaver with the DW JQuery Mobile sample. I've also created a PhoneGap account (free). When I try to connect with Phonegap Build it says "Project Settings file was not found for this project" and tells me to select "Create as a new project" which I did and then clicked "Continue". The spinning pole above spins for several minutes and then tells me it must be having a server error. It's done this several times over the past few days...sigh.
I then tried going to Phonegap and it gives me an option to upload a zip file, but what is supposed to be in the zip file and how do I create it in Dreamweaver? I can't find any documentation to help get me started.
I'd really appreciate any direction you can offer.

Hi,
I don't really understand your question about the site root access. The mobile app is in a folder which is part of the main web site.
Here's 3 images, the first shows the start when I select Phone Gap Build, the second shows where it is trying to create a new project and the third is the failure message that shows after several minutes. - Thanks. Tony

If I get the photography plan does it come with phone gap build (the 25 private apps) or do I need to purchase them seperately

I have been using the phone gap build service and I noticed that the plans page links to the Creative Cloud plans as well (the ? in the top right). I was wondering if I get the photoshop/lightroom plan if I get access to the paid phone gap build service or if I need to purchase that as well?

Phone Gap is not part of the photography bundle. Why should it? You do not get Dreamweaver or Flash to actually build content for Phone Gap, only PS and LR.

Dont worry I fixed it now I had to go into the Captivate 7 App Packager files and edit the xml.config file in the resources folder by the way the latest version of phone gap is 3.2.0 but it didnt except that so i used 2.9.0

If I purchase creative cloud membership for only one program, will I get a paid adobe phone gap build account for free?

Trying to connect to PhoneGap Build Service in Dreamweaver CS6 but get a "Temporary Server related error". Help!

I am trying to connect to the PhoneGap Build Service in Dreamweaver CS6 but after about a minute I receive the error "Temporary Server related error. Please try again later.". I have googled, searched and implemented any fix that I could find without any joy. I have fully updated Dreamweaver and all other Cloud services but still am receiving the error.
I can log into build.phonegap.com using my Adobe ID no problem and I have linked a GitHub account to my Adobe ID so I am at a loss as what I can try next.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Upload my .APK file onto Google play error, after i build it with dreamweaver cs6

after i done on the video clip above.....
then go to my google developer site to upload the .APK (which is app.apk) file but google says the following :
UPLOAD FAILED
You need to use a different package name because "com.example" is restricted
You upload an APK that was signed in debug mode. You need to sign your APK in release mode.
please help ..

I don't know if this method is more valid or even with my first method, but I downloaded the tools and I followed the method to create a keystore, with no success :
I've created a keystore/ pair of keys, it's Ok :
keytool -genkey -v -keystore certificatAutoSigne-2013.keystore -alias certificatAutoSigne-2013 -keyalg RSA -keysize 2048 -validity 10000
But I don't understand where can I add the Google public key to sign my APK file, because the keystore isn't a text file !
Secondly I've error message with this command line :
jarsigner -verbose -sigalg SHA1withRSA -digestalg SHA1 -keystore certificatAutoSigne-2013.keystore MyAPKFile
Obviously an APK file already signed can't be re-signed. I don't know how to creat APK file no signed with ADT, do you know ?

Issues with Dreamweaver cs6 phone gap build login

Hi there, I am an imac, using creative cloud and I am not able to login via dreamweaver to phonegapbuild...
I have created my acount on phonegap using my adobe id and also set my github account to it too...
but when I try and login it says looks like we are having server troubles please try again...
On the dreamweaver login to phonegap it does say dont forget to activate your account email but I didnt recieve anything and I can login to phonegap ok?
Please help as I have shelled out on an imac, creative cloud and gthub just to use this service ! and feel a bit let down..

Ahhh cool, many thanks...I have been onto them and told them what my issue was and cancelled my creative cloud as that was all I really wanted it for...
I will check back when its sorted and see if its worth me doing, I know there are some cool things but my total setup for creating ios apps revolved around that function ...
I would have presumed that as this is an actual Adobe branded forum they would have somone monitoring it daily for issues to at least put a coment on...
I know other large companies that monitor every spector of the internet for peoples comments on them...and then respond accordingly... from all the forums I have viewed on this issue including phonegap they seem to be ignoring it which seems to be making people get even crosser...if thats even a word lol

Dreamweaver > Site > PonGAP build site logged into the build.
Check only iOS is the key, and nothing.
Is this normal?

Phone Gap In App Browser Javascript

I am creating a IOS iPad App version of my elearning course using the Captivate 7. I am also using Phone Gap's Cordova's InAppBrowser javascript to open links in the IOS.
in Captivate 7 I am using a button and the execute Javascript action below to open links.
I have built and tested the the app using the Captivate App Packager and Phone Gap Build and it works well.
When the button is selected to view the external PDF a new IOS native screen apears and the user can see the PDF the user can also close the resource and go back to the app by selecting the "Done" button.
If the user then opens that same pdf again then closes it, it jumps to the next slide in the captivate course this only happens the secound time the users selects the same button to veiw the PDF resource.
How can I stop this from happening? Is there same sort of confliction with other javescript being used on the slide? I am using the pause function on buttons to stop it continuing to the next slide as well.

What's a good wysiwyg menu widget for Dreamweaver CS6 Mac?

I'm trying to build menus in Dreamweaver CS6 Mac, and started using Spry...then learned that Adobe will no loner be supporting Spry and that it may not be as compatible with browsers in the future.
What's a good alternative wysiwyg menu widget for Dreamweaver that's makes it easy to create horizontal/vertical pop-down menus/sub menus? I'd be willing to pay for it if it's worth it. Would be nice if it worked within Dreamweaver using Design/Spit modes the way Spry does, but not essential. Thanks!

Project Seven are widely regarded for their commercial DW menu extensions.
PMM3 is one of the best I've seen

Phonegap and Dreamweaver CS6 doesn't work

Phonegap and Dreamweaver have never worked together for me. With CS5.5 I was never able to build anything with Phonegap and Dreamweaver. I was hoping that with CS6 and Adobe's aquistion that Phonegap might acually work with Dreamweaver, not so. Any time I try and build Phonegap with Dreamweaver CS6 I get the following error:

Publish as APP/Phone Gap?

Hi -- Can anyone point me to or provide step-by-step instructions on how to publish an 8.01 project as an app using PhoneGap?

I am not very experienced with using Phone Gap and the command line but i can tell you a different approach. Captivate offers an easy way to develop your project using Phone Gap Build.
Export to ios and android using captivates Publish feature. Open your project in captivate. Towards the top of the screen there will be a "Publish" option, click on that and then click on "Publish For Devices(APP)" Once you do that, you must sign into your phone gap build account and then enter in the certificate information for either Andriod or IOS. However, getting the certificates takes a little while to explain. You'll have to figure that out with a google search or two.
From there it is pretty self explanatory. Select Publish. Navigate to your Phone Gap Build account and the app will be waiting there for you to download.

Where can I find my settings file in Dreamweaver CS6?

I was given a brand new computer two days ago by our IT staff. They were kind enough to load all of my software onto the hard drive. However, they did not migrate any of my settings over and now I have a problem. All of my ftp information for my website was on the old hard drive, but I need to have all of that information to set up the new hard drive.
Can anyone point me in the proper direction?

Without access to the actual DW program that used to be installed, you're going to be stuck manually adding your FTP when you re-create your site definitions for the new installation.
