Phone goes dead at 20% charge

Is my battery shot when the charge indicator says 20% and then it goes dead?

Sorry @KiiMii but that's simply a load of bull.
Leaving the device connected to a charger has absolutely no affect on battery life.
To the OP, basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

  • Phone goes dead when it has just been charged

my husbands phone goes dead just shuts off when he has just charged it. says like 95 percent battery and 2 seconds later goes dead

User troubleshooting steps are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.
Restart, is powering the phone off/on.
Reset is holding the sleep/wake and home buttons until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot.
    Restores are done via iTunes.
If none of these correct the problem, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar at Apple or with the Authorized Apple Service Provider, depending on where you live.

After ios7, My iphone4 has gone dead twice in a time frame of around two months...even though its not happening very often but a two month Old phone going dead just after a New update is not acceptable.probably ios7 still has sum bugs dat need to be fixed...Can this bug expected to be fixed in the next update...

    Hi 1283ar.
Unfortunately, iOS 7 is too hard to push for the iPhone 4 and therefore has a lot of effects turned off to try to get it to run as smoothly as possible.
However, it becomes better and better with each update coming but it's hard to do anything about the hardware on an already released phones.
If you still have trouble or think they are too hard. My tip is, if so, to restore your iPhone 4 and make a clean setup with no iCloud backup. But all your photos in a photostream so you can access it later.

Ok, that's a fair point. I did attempt to search (admittedly, not very thoroughly), but the forum search doesn't allow you to search for just "Qt" related topics. I just did a quick search using google (site:bbs.archlinux.org qt 4.6) and the answer came up immediately. My bad! Thanks for the patient response!

  • Phone goes blank with full charge comes for a brief time back when setrge to charge

phone has a full charge but after brief use it goes blank. the home button does nothing as well the power button gives me the apple then goes blank again. the only way to get it going again it to set it up for a charge . the screen gives me the battery with red charge bar even tho it is fully charged ! the cycle starts over again.

    See Here for
    Frozen or unresponsive iPhone
    Try this First...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...

  • What do you do if the Droid phone goes dead?

You Power down and then power back up.
    That's easy
But what can cause Mike and Speaker to fo dead?
    Voice command input worke
Music played amd Voice command spoke
Incoming call Rang but couldn't hear the caller and the caller could not hear me.
Used the land line to work around
Power cycled the phone and it started working
What could cause a Droid X to malfunction in this manner?

Yea I know, but then there would be no way of determining Causal Factors. .
I am pacing test calls to the DX to see wnen it fails.
I did change the RingTone recently.  I will change it back to see what happens.

  • My phone is dead. wt to do?

    HI
I am using Iphone 4s and suddenly the phone gets dead. its not charging as well. I do not have a warranty as well. Please suggest

A dead phone can be caused when the battery is completely drained and the phone shuts down. When this happens the phone usually does not respond immediately when plugged into the charger. It may take 15 minutes or more with the phone connected to the charger before it responds to any actions.
Plug the phone into the charger that came with the phone and plug that into a good wall outlet. Wait 15 minutes. Then, while the phone is still plugged into the charger, reset the phone. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
If the phone restarts let it continue to charge unit the battery is at 100%.
If the phone does not restart make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. Be sure to back up your device before taking or sending it to Apple.

  • HT6154 Hello my iPhone 5 keeps going dead fast after 100 % charged.

Hello my iPhone 5 keeps going dead fast after 100 % charged.

I did that, and the issue persisted.  I'm several hours from an Apple store, and I can't be without a phone for that long.  Not to mention they want $269 to fix it, and I only paid $399 for it.

  • Can someone at least give an explanation why the phone suddenly goes dead ?I've experience it and the only way to turn it on is to do a hard reset. Is it a software design.technical explanation please. Thanks

Make sure the battery is charged.
