Phone help available?

I have scoured my doucmentation and the Apple web site for a phone number to call for help with my new nano, and found nothing. Chat is offered, but only for two other versions of iPod.
Is there any phone help available? Can someone give me a number?
In iTunes, my listing of podcasts is all grayed out. Plugging in the nano, it went thru the process of uploading to the nano, but nothing appears on the nano.
Note: I've gotten a pop-up notice saying "iTunes.exe -- corrupt file. The file or directory . . . iTunesDB is corrupt and unreadable. Please runthe chkdsk utility."
I have run chkdsk, and have also downloaded and installed the latest version of iTunes, and done the iPod updater, and still received the same warning message. Not sure if this is related to the podcasts issue above.

I had that problem with my nano after in inadvertantly removed it from the usb port without ejecting it from itunes (I have it set to use as a disk...) I tried manually removing the corrupted directory (which in my case turned out to be the photos directory) and that did not correct the problem... I was only able to correct the problem by doing an OS restore from the updater I had to select the option to have it restore it to factory defaults. That was not such a bad option in that I had my library saved in itunes an it re-sync'd up right back to the way I wanted it.
