Phone is freezing when deleting messages

I can't delete messages from my 4s. Phone freezes when I try to delete them. Only way it unfreezes is turning it off and back on and the messages are still there. Tried a reset and that didn't work.Help!!!

If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.

If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.

Captivate 6 freezes when deleting slides

Hey all,
Captivate 6.0.0.199 freezes when deleting a slides. This does not occur on another machine running the exact same version. This occurs with both new CPTX files created in CP6 and also those upgraded from CP5.
We are on Windows 7.
Any ideas? Deleting slides would be nice.

I see. Let's just try to break down the problem to simpler levels to isolate the cause.
Attempt following tests :
1) Delete just one slide
2) Delete any object from any specific slide
3) Try running capuitivate in admin mode (right click and Choose Run as Admin)
4) If you add new slides and save it and close and reopen, does it show changes made?
5) Please close all projets and just work on a single new project, add some slides, save it and try deleting
Let me know the result of these, try these after updating Captivate.

My phone keeps freezing when i open apps, especially the messaging app. Is there any way to help minimize the amount of freezing that occurs?

When messages app is used, phone frequently freezes and the same thing happens when I open other applications on the phone. Any suggestions to fix this problem without resetting the whole entire phone?

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
So if Apple doesn't have a problem with what I suggested then neither do I

Hi, I'm new on this forum. I'm Rafal, and I'm from Poland, I'm eighteen. Good evening
From few days I have enormous problem with my phone - Nokia 2700 classic. In my inbox is 7000 messages, in Outbox 8000. Together 15000... from a few days I have a problem with the turning on phone. if the phone runs correctly, I try to delete some messages. when I try to delete messages (singly or over a dozen), the phone crash - black screen, the keybord doesen't work - I must remove battery and put again to the phone.
I upgraded firmware from 7.75 to 9.95 with NSU. No results.
I tried any codes like #*7370# - no results...
Even Nokia Communication Centre can't delete any sms...
Maybe I could format phone memory? Just HOW?
Please help!

Just had same issue, had 785 messages to delete.
Like others the screen went blank and I thought it had crashed, but if you press a button and wait a while you will see the screen come back on and it is very slowly deleting them.
On mine it was taking 10 seconds per messages to delete them.
Every 100 or so I clicked waited for the screen to appear and then cancelled the operation and then started again.
Took an hour or so but eventually deleted them all.
Just tested again and it deleted messages instantly.
Looks like I need to keep on top of things and delete them more often. I usually do it every 200 or so messages.
I've had other nokias that actually crash (as in lock up and require a battery out restart) when they receive a message and they have reached max memory, then its a real pain as every time the network tries to deliver the message it crashes the phone and its not obvious at first that its because its full.

CS4 Freezes When Deleting Files

I've had CS4 now for a few weeks and I'm finding that whenever I try to delete a .htm file, the program freezes. I've tried the idea of deleting that cache file in the configurations folder. I've even renamed my configuration folder so a new one would be rebuilt. Same thing with the preferences folder. Any ideas on why this is occurring?

I'm also getting frequent freezes when I try to open a folder in DW. I click on the little + sign and it just locks up. Very, very frustrating. I just upgrading from DW 8 to CS4 and right now, I'm instability like I never experienced in DW 8. Please help.

Phone shuts down when deleting photos, please help

WHen I connect my iphone to the computer, I can get the pictures from the camera roll with no problem. If I choose to delete the photos after transfer, or If I manually select the photos, and then press delete, the phone stops responding, shuts down and restarts without deleting the photos. I can delete them one at a time directly from the camera roll on the phone, but that takes a long time and I simply dont think that deleting them all at once should be a problem. Has anyone else had this problem, that can help me fix it? Apple says that they have never heard of this before, but I cant possibly be the only one with this problem

I confirm the issue: this did not happen with Firmware 2.1
iPhone 16G with firmware 2.2.1
Windows XP Pro SP3 - 3.2GHz 2G RAM
Steps to reproduce:
1. Plug iPhone into USB port
2. When the dialog appears accept the use of the Scanning Wizard
3. Elect to pull all of the photos from the phone, and check the
"delete when done" box.
4. Observe that all of the photos are pulled successfully
5. Then the wizard says "deleting pictures 1 of 455"
6. There is a pause - obout 20 seconds
7. The iPhone then reboots with no warning
and the wizard thinks it has finished: reports no errors.
I have seen this issue reported elsewhere on Apple forums, so think
that other people are seeing the issue, too.

I have been having trouble with imac recently. freezes when using AE CS6 during rendering stage, convering videos in quicktime, emptying secrue trash, just upgraded RAM to 16GB, just upgraded OS to Mountain Lion.

See if the Disk is issuing any S.M.A.R.T errors in Disk Utility...

Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?
I wouldn't expect Pageouts with 16 GB of RAM, but...

I'm using JSF 1.1 specification
I'm deleting messages from FacesContext to avoid duplicate ones. But sometimes, I'm getting the NoSuchElementException in my jsf page when I do a reload.

Do you mean mail?
If so, then this should be the way it works with an IMAP account.
Do you have a POP account? pop accounts are really not designed for use with multiple devices/computer, while IMAP is designed for just this.

When deleting messages I get this message:"74608.emlx" couldn't be copied to "Messages" because an item with the same name already exists. How can I fix this problem?

The numbers at the beginning are always different but the ".emlx" and the rest of the statement is always the same. How can I fix this problem?

Question: What causes Thunderbird to show "not responding" when deleting messages

Program does not respond for a few minutes when deleting one or more messages. Messages downloaded by POP3 account. There are no add-ins & plugins were temp. deactivated. Delete works OK in safe mode but not in normal mode.

All these antivirus suites are getting too involved with things they have no business bothering and wind up sucking up all the resources available. I wish they would just go back to looking for and catching viruses.

Every time I try to delete my messages, I will delete and then restart the app or it won't work. When I restart the app, it takes me to an empty message screen and then will completely freeze. My phone will vibrate like I am receiving messages, but nothing shows up on my phone. Recovering the phone is not working, as the computer no longer recognizes the phone as a device.

If your Messages app is still behaving unexpectedly, then based on the symptoms you are describing I would troubleshoot the software by first quitting the running apps on the device:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

How to disable confirm dialog when deleting messag...

It is really annoying that each time I delete a message, I have to confirm. How can I disable that on the Lumia 920?
Also, I spend a long time trying to figure out why my phone did not come with Nokia Music in denmak, after alomost 1 hour searching on the net, I found out that the service do not exist in Denmark... Why not just have the Nokia Music in the App store and just show a message when people try to install it, saying that its not availble in the user's country?

You can't dsable the confirmation, but you can reduce the number of times you need to confirm to just once by marking the messages you wish to delete first. Shortcut for marking messages is to tap the left hand edge of the message you with to mark.

When delete message viewer goes to previous email not to the next one

In mail 3.1 message viewer if I delete a message instead of going to the next unread message in the list it goes back the previous message in the list. The messages are sorted with most recent message first. When reading mail there are some messages that I want to hold for subsequent action. So I just want to continue scanning all of my new mail. Is there a way to do this? Never had a problem with this in Netscape, Outlook or Thunderbird.
The second problem is when I double click on a message to bring it up in a single window, when I delete it the window goes away and I have to double click on the next message in the message viewer. Again, I would like the next unread message to appear in the single window.

I can't turn off my passcode. My phone keeps freezing when I try to open my phone or turn the passcode off. What do I do?

When I go to open my phone normally my pass code screen pops up. It was working fine all day and then all of a sudden it started freezing. If I slide the bar across to open my phone it just freezes on that screen and I can't get into my phone. I had to shut my phone completely down to get in. I tried to turn my pass code off and I can't even get into that screen. So please help!

Try resetting by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.
