Phone is not being recognized as a device!
My husband and I share a apple account but when he plugs his iphone into the USB on our computer, it isn't showing up at all under devices in the Itunes program. My phone is working fine and shows up without any hassle. What should we do?
The iPhone cant transfer files using Bluetooth, What worked for me, I also have windows 7.
If the only thing that fails in the iTunes diagnostic check is the sync, and after you have saved any pictures either thru "my computer" or Bump to another iPhone, and after trying all apples suggestions, is to download iPhonebrowser

Plug your phone into computer and open iPhonebrowser and delete the folder iTunes_Control
open iTunes and your phone appears again with it's name, then just resync, I tried everything and this was the only thing that got iTunes to recognise the phone again.

Why is my iPod Touch not being recognized in iTunes, Device Manager, or my entire computer?
I have had my iPod Touch since christmas and it is now June. The version is 4.1 and it's the one with the camera. My previous cord worked fine and I never had any problems with iTunes or my iPod before. I lost my cord for about a month (actually I have no clue how long) and my dad picked one up for me yesterday. It cam in a BELKIN package with the USB cord that plugs into a wall charger or car charger. So, I needed to upload my music and when I plugged my iPod in, I went to go sync the music, and I noticed the was no "Device" column in iTunes. So, I went into "My Computer" and didn't find it in (E:) where it always used to be. Then I searched the WHOLE computer and I couldn't find it anywhere. Then I searched for help online. Everything kept telling me to go to device manager and reinstall the device and blah blah blah. BUT IT'S NOT EVEN IN THE DEVICE MANAGER!! I couldn't find it anywhere in there! So like, is my iPod completely erased from my computer forever??? I tried restarting my iPod, my computer, and I made sure my iTunes was the lastest version. I also tried 3 different USB ports and none of them worked! SO NOW WHAT!!?? Should I try a different USB cord?? Please help!!!

BB Z10 not being recognized as usb device in W8
I just upgraded to the Z10 from my 9800 and used BB Link to transfer all the details to the new phone.
I also have a new Dell AIO with w8.
After downloading all the data from the 9800 and plugged in the Z10, the Dell didn't recognise that a new usb device was plugged in and showed nothing on the system icons regarding a usb device.
I resorted to downloading it to our old W7 Dell laptop and it sync'd ok.
Is there an incompatibility with W8 and the Z10? It had no troubles seeing the 9800 when plugged into the same port.

Are you currently connected via Wi-Fi on your BlackBerry Z10? Is the BlackBerry Z10 charging when you plug in the USB cord? Have you tried a different BlackBerry USB cord?

Xen Xtra not being recognized. Mtp device keeps popping
I just got a Zen Xtra 40gb from my friend cause he said it was having major problems connecting to the pc after he upgraded it to the new firmware. he had it for years. but he gave it to me after getting an iPod last week,?When i connect it to the pc for the first time it pops up with Found New Hardware: NOMAD Jukebox Zen Xtra then changes to Found New Hardware: MTP Device and the screen on the zen goes to sync mode. But nothing on the pc happens excecpt Found New Hardware: MTP Device keeps popping up constantly. The computer will detect that its an mp3 player and pop up with What Do You Want Windows To Do? Sync with windows media player or Do Nothing. i click sync and windows media player opens and says theres nothing connected. I tried system restores. drivers. searching for answers. replacing the hard dri've different usb ports/cables and computers. same thing on every one. It worked once for like 20 mins and i got some songs on it with WMP. then this happened again after connecting again. Does anyone have anything i can do to get this to work? is there a way to downgrade the firmware to Mass Storage Device instead of PlaysForSure? Anything will help?Thankss

My iPhone 5 is not being recognized by my iMac. All my other devices, including iPod and iPad are recognized with no sync problems. I've tried every approach with online help as well as an Apple advisor by phone. Help? Any other suggestions other than going to an Apple Store?

Ipod touch not being recognized by itunes (but is registering as an external drive by the computer itself) have updated and reinstalled itunes, stopped/started apple mobile device and removed any mobile programs associated with my non apple cellphone. This seems to have started happening after the last Itunes update I did as I was able to put music on my ipod touch a month or so ago. Is there some way to go back to an older version of itunes? I really have no idea what else to do since I followed every step on the trouble shooting page for windows 8.

'Music'
Scroll to the bottom and enter your password to log onto your home sharing
Then connect to iTunes and sync! -

One is called Kimberly's iPod the other is Jenae's iPod. Jenae's iPod is the one not being recognized by the computer and has to keep being manually fixed, it won't sync automatically. Should I still try changing the name on iTunes and assume it didn't pick it up the first time. -
