My current phone the Droid Razr Maxx lasted about a year before I started having problems. The phone would freeze, shut down and refuse to start up again. It was discovered that my SIM card wouldn't lock in place....They replaced the phone. The new USED phone had no issue with the SIM card...Within hours of activating it, I was having the same issues. I took the phone to a Verizon store and they played with it for a bit before deeming it defective. They ordered me another new USED phone. I get the 3rd phone, charge it and activate it....I try texting a few times, the phone shuts down and won't restart without doing a factory reset. This phone is having the same problems as the previous two...This proves that they have no idea what the issue is are how to resolve it, but they're more than happy to throw refurbished phones at you for 50 bucks....This is my last contract with Verizon, I will be dumping them ASAP. Maybe I'm asking too much for my $160 a month.....

please inform me soon !Is your phone still covered by warranty? If so, go to your nearest Apple store and depending on what happened, this may or may not be covered by warranty. If it is, then you can get a replacement exactly as the phone you already have.
If out of warranty, then there is nothing you can do and you'll have to pay. -
I use an Iphone 4 which had to be replaced recently. However when i did a backup it was on the new IOS version 7, but now that my phone was replaced and i am back on the old IOS version 6 i how do i restore my backup??
When i try to restore my Back up using Itunes this is the message i get - "Unable to restore backup as the software is old - Please setup as a new device and then try to restore your backup" - Please advise. If i do so are there any chances of loosing my data. At this point in time i would be happy if i could just retreive my contacts list. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Nope - you cannot restore a backup from a newer iOS version on to a device running an older iOS version. The reverse works, but in your case to use your backup, you must update to iOS 7.0.3 - no other option if you want to use that backup.

Iphone 5 bluetooth texting is not working in my Mercedes E550; Mercedes says it's a phone issue. Any ideas or suggestions?
If your question regards the ability of your Mercedes to access the text messages in your phone, the most likely answer is that your vehicle's audio system does not support the Message Access Profile. This Bluetooth profile was adopted in June of 2009, which means that Mercedes Benz wasn't implementing this capability mid-year.
Your Merc simply will not be able to access those messages.
If the dealer can do an update of the Firmware, it might improve the capability. But the expense of that might outweigh the ability to gain access to your texts. This is to say that there is even an upgrade possible. This is a major addition to the Bluetooth capabilities.
FWIW, up until recently, most cars havn't had this capability. The earliest adopters were Ford and BMW.

Need to show proof of purchase to my insurance company, but my phone was replaced by apple so has a different imei number to the one on my receipt, how do you sort this out??
Contact Apple and see if they can provide any documentation of the device swap.

How do i put tv programmes and videos from itunes to another iphone, without having to delete all data on the phone and replacing it with my library? i switched the 'sync only ticked songs and videos' yet it still wont let me transfer videos from my itunes onto my new phone, any ideas??
Copy the entire itunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.

IMessage is not working on my phone. Is this a system issue or individual phone issue?
My iPhone 4S is not allowing me to send any iMessages. It will say "not delivered" and send as a text. Is this an individual phone issue or system issue? I checked my settings and they are all correct.
According to Apple's status site, http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ nothing is down.
When you go into Settings>Messages, is iMessage activated? Are you connected to data via cellular or wi-fi? Are you able to access the Internet on the phone? What troubleshooting have you tried? -
Few days before I brought one iphone 5 by second party and this phone make a unlock but it sometime have a cellular network most of time say no service can u solve this problem please and I put serial number it say this phone is replace can u help me for original serial number....
If Apple's service database says that your iPhone was replaced, then Apple will no longer provide any service for that phone.
First, get a new SIM from your cell carrier and see if that corrects the problem. If it does not, try the usual steps for addressing software problems: restart, reset, restore.

If you try restoring from a backup and that doesn't fix the problem, try restoring to factory settings and, if the problem goes away, then sync back your apps and content. You'll lose the app data and settings, but if the problem is due to a corrupt cache or settings file, restoring to factory settings should cure it.
If none of that helps, your device may have developed a hardware fault. Again, Apple will provide no service for it, so you will need to pay some independent repair shop to fix your iPhone.

Has anyone else had problems switching between normal talk mode and speaker phone mode with thier iphone?
When I switch to speaker phone, say to look something up on my phone while still communcating with the person on the other side we can communicate just fine, then when I want to switch back to normal talk mode they can no longer hear me. I can still hear them them even if I try switching back to speaker phone, the other person can be heard loud and clear, but they will no longer be able to hear me no matter what I do.
I'm not sure if it is a phone issue or iOS issue. I had problems with my iPhone 4 and now again with my iPhone 4S. I am hopeing other people have had this problem and can give me a few hints as to solving it. Even if that means taking it in for an exchange, I dont really care, I would just like it to work. I set up an appointment for support but have yet to talk with anyone. I hope someone can help.

JeremyHi kat2653. Let's get your husband's phone working properly! When your husband is holding the phone up to his ear, is the screen not going blank? There's a great proximity sensor on the iPhone that should take care of the phone's screen sensitivity while on a call, because it makes the screen untouchable while it's blank. If that's not working, there may be something partially blocking it, like a case or screen protector.
There's also been some wonderful enhancements to all the iPhones with the new iOS 6 updates. Please use the steps from Apple at http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414 to make sure you're iPhone has been updated to Version 6.0.1 (10A523). You can also double check if this is the version you already have by going to Settings>General>About on the iPhone.

Warranty and Support are only valid in the country of origin. You will need to take the device to whatever country it originally came from.
Apple will not accept shipments from outside the country nor will they return it to an address outside the country. -
i have purchased iphone 4 8gb in india. i have heard that when the company stops manufacturing the current phone, they replace it with 4s. is it true? can i get it replaced with iphone 4s 16gb or can i get it upgraded with iphone 16gb because 8gb is very less memory for me coz it hangs up all the time and apps dont work properly. any scheme where i can pay a bit and get it exchanged with any of them?
Probably not. If you want to purchase a new phone, then you'll have to sell your old one to fund your purchase of a new phone.
As for iPhones, the phone that they will stop making is the iPhone 5. This will not be made or sold any longer, because it has been replaced by the iPhone 5c and 5s. You should still be able to get and iPhone 4 and 4s, although the iPhone 4 is old now in technology standards.
To get a new phone though, you will likely have to sell your old phone to fund the purchase of a new one. This is what most folks do. -
Submitted my I phone for replacement on 24 April, customer care had predicted delivery in 5-6 days and now today they say not before 6 May! What do I do? I need the phone before 4 May as I am goin out of stattion
All you can do is call the support center and discuss the problem with them. There may be no way they can expedite the replacement, but you can ask.

My phone was replaced by apple in May 2011, and now I can't unlock it because the IMEI of the original phone is registered to apple, not the IMEI of the phone which I currently have (the replacement givern to em by apple) because of this AT&T wont unlock my phone, how can I get ATT to unlock my phone, or Apple to notify ATT of the situation and help me to get it unlocked?
I never said I was using it. the contract with AT&T ended, I moved, and I the phone's only function now is accompanying me to the gym as an ipod :/ I never jailbroke it or messed with any of the facroty settings- I am just not in a place that I can use it, and I would liks to change that fact since there is nothing physically wrong with it- only the network

Emails being sent to Inbox and Trash
