Phone keep restarting

my phone keeps restarting when i plug it in to charge. almost every time. does this even with the car charger. its also ringing without displaying anything. ive restored the phone and its still doing the same. what should i do?

Restarting as when powering your iPhone off and on?
If you restored your iPhone from your iPhone's backup, have you also tried restoring your iPhone as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup?
If so with no change, time to give AppleCare a call at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

  • I have a 3GS and updated by mistake to IOS6, now my phone keeps restarting but doesn't do a thing.

I have a 3GS and updated by mistake to IOS6, now my phone keeps restarting but doesn't do a thing. It says update completed and I only have few more steps. It connects to Itunes and restart again before I can do anything. Any solutions?
    Thanks

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Try to sync you phone with iTunes to create a new backup before it restarts.  Also try to import your photos (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and back up your contacts if you can (sync them to iCloud in Settings>iCloud>Contacts>On or use an app like My Contact Backup).  When done, force you phone into recovery mode and restore it, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.

  • Phone keeps restarting

At the start of the month I got a new blackberry 9300 from T-Mobile UK. It kept restarting. I sent it back.
I got sent a new phone from T-Mobile. It keeps restarting. What is going on?
It's not continual restarting. It will work for a few hours. Then restart. Sometimes in the middle of a phone call, sometimes when I want to check my notes. Sometimes, less often, it just switches off. The red LED also does a good bit of flashing whilst all this is going on.
Memory is basically empty. It has the 2GB flashcard that came with it. I originally had the following apps installed: Mnemonsyne, Google Mail, Google Maps, Intertype Cryllic Keyboard and Beiks Russian Dictionary. Currently there is nothing installed because I have wiped it, and reinstalled the OS---and still it reboots. The OS is the latest version.
So, I'm lost. Two different phones, but the same problem. Anyone got a hint?

have you sorted this problem out as i too have this same problem with the 9300

  • What do i do when my phone keeps restarting but wont fully turn back on

my phone just shut off and i dont know what to do. it keeps restarting but it wont fully turn on.

This is something where iPhone tools written by the jail break community could actually come in handy to self-fix your phone's issues.  The primary thing to realize though is that Apple may be able to help with the problem themselves.
I don't personally jail break anymore, as I have no need to now, but I have experience with some of the tools out there.  If you are having this issue and your phone was jail broken, then you might want to deal with it yourself rather than taking it to Apple.  In many cases, it's totally solvable without too much trouble, and most likely you keep everything on it too.  Before I go into details on that solution, let me exhaust the Apple support logic.
If your phone isn't jail broken, then Apple is going to be more cooperative in helping resolve this.  If it isn't under warranty anymore, then that is a possible coin-toss.  If it's not under warranty, but you purchased AppleCare+, then you might have a real good chance.  Either way, you might just take it into an Apple store (you can make a reservation ahead of time), then explain the problem to them and see what they do.  If it is under warranty and not jail broken, then they're absolutely going to find a way to make it right for you.
So the final logic boils down to whether you don't have it under warranty and Apple won't help, or you have jail broken it, or you just feel brave and want to try fixing it on your own.  I'm not sure if I can mention specific tools here on the forum or not, but you should be able to easily google the tools which have Exit recovery, and Fix recovery as actions you can perform to try to fix the phone.  Both of these may require that you know how to put your phone into DFU (device firmware update) mode, which is another thing you can easily search for.  The tool I'm talking about may have a name that refers to a collapsible portable covering used in rain that may or may not happen to be some form of very small.  I think one should be able to catch the reference here without me totally naming that tool.
I have used said tool myself in the past and it worked great on several occasions where my previous phones acted up.  Having said that, I think Apple would appreciate me reminding you that they do not condone the use of such programs or tools which they have not authorized.
    Good luck!

  • I phone keeps restarting

My iphone keeps turning off and restarting. When it restarts the screen says "iOS 6." After sliding my finger across the screen, it says, "connect to iTunes." The phone doesn't connect to iTunes, typically failing every time i try.

  • New Phone keeps Restarting...?

I got a new iPhone 3GS yesterday and it keeps restarting when I am using it. For example, I am typing a text message then the screen goes black then the apple comes on and it starts back up (also happens when doing other things). This is happening quite frequently. Am I hitting something to make it do this or have a setting wrong? I tried turning the phone off and on, but that didn't help...
Thanks for any help! Other than that I love the phone!

Standard troubleshooting steps in order are power your iPhone off and on, an iPhone reset - which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so (an iPhone reset does not affect any data or settings), restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup, and restoring with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.
If no change after any of these steps in order, the iPhone includes a one year warranty. You can call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

  • My phone keeps restarting! WHY?

For no apparent reason, my phone has restarted twice today, a couple times yesterday, why?? Are there system updates? Etc??

Welcome to Android. My first recommendation would be to uninstall the last app you put on. Not all app developers are created equal. A bad app with memory usage issues can cause a phone to crash. Some days mine does the same thing, it is still stock. I do have a lot of software loaded and that comes with the territory. If it is real bad you can also do a factory reset which will erase everything and put back on one app at a time.

  • My phone keeps restarting?

iPhone 4 keeps showing black screen w/ apple and thinking icon as if restarting? I have to do a hard restart. has this been common w/ the last update?

You can try to restore from you latest backup, but in case your problem returns, try again without using the backup, it might contain the corrupt files causing your problem.
Your contact info should also be mirrored in the address book or a similar program on your computer if you sync your phone and selected the option to sync contacts with your computer. But it is also part of the backup if you restore your device.

  • Help! Phone keeps restarting. Cannot shut down. Don't know how to access battery.

help!!! my phone just went nuts & I can't even turn it off! The start screen just keeps going on & on & on. I went through all the FAQS & can't even figure out how to remove battery. I am recently widowed & am electronically challenged on a good day. I'm in tears tonight. If anyone can help...

Tracy, it sounds to me like you'd be happier with a basic phone. Do not pay for an expensive smartphone and monthly data plan when all you want is something to make calls. You have 14 days to return it, and do not let the rep talk you into another smartphone if that is not what you want.
You can buy a basic phone here, on amazon.com, on eBay, etc. I have seen the original RAZRs (the nonsmartphones) sold new on eBay. If you buy there, make sure it's Verizon branded, not prepay only, and it has a clean electronic serial number (ESN) that you check with Verizon before you pay for the phone.
Another idea: You can buy a new LG Cosmos 2, a messaging phone, off-contract for $150 on Amazon, or get it through Verizon on a two-year contract.
Good luck and please post back if you have any other questions.

  • Phone keeps restarting for no reason!

I have had the z3 for 3 days and it randomly restarts of its own accord.sometimes when it's sitting doing nothing! Any advice?

Hi, you have a few options.......first run the phone for a little while in Safe Mode, this will see if any 3rd Party Apps that you have installed are affecting your phone (if you have downloaded any that is)....2nd option is to perform a PC Companion repair of your phone, you must however back up your phone before doing this.
I have added the links for you to read over.....good luck

  • After Update my phone keeps restarting randomly - noticably on facebook App

    Hi All,
I dont knwo whether this is a generic problem after readin other peoples posts about there phone restarting but EVER since i updated to the new OS my iphone jsut freezes and restarts when i sue any applications. this does not ahppen all the time but i would say a 90% off the time it does notibly when i use facebook.
this has made my phone somewhat un usable. I ahve restored the iphone to factory settings believing that woudl help but it comes to no avail.
I am inclined to think it is somehting to do with the new OS?
Any ideas to help fix this issue?.....

Hi and Welcome to the Community! Refer:Article ID: KB36747 All data is deleted following a manual restart of the BlackBerry 10 smartphone and a blue LED is displayed during boot upIf that does not work, then the most common thing to do after an update that results in issues is to perform an OS reload. Sometimes, the update processes have errors and such...with a reload often curing the issues. The official methods, which will be controlled as to what exact OS versions you are offered:http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-Functions-and/How-to-Reload-your-Blackberry10-O...The unofficial methods, which are cleaner, and allow you to choose an OS version that perhaps your carrier (or whoever it is controlling your offers) has been slow to approve:http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using...http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-leaked-beta-os-f395/bb10-os-archive-943672/Of course, before you start any of this you will want a good backup via LINK, a manual copy of your Device Memory to your PC, and full documentation of your configuration (account credentials, added apps, configurations, etc.). Sometimes, restoring from a backup returns to the device the very corruption one needs to eliminate, and reconfiguring from scratch can resolve that. Good luck!

  • After Device update, phone keeps restarting + occa...

I installed Anna through the Device update first, then the problems started happening. My N8 restarts every 10 minutes, so I technically cannot do anything with it. Tried to install the Anna 1/2, 2/2 updates and only 2/2 installed, error with 1/2. I also occasionally get an error message at startup: phone start-up failed. Contact the retailer. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Try to connect your device with OVI suite then click reinstall update if this doesn't work you have to take it for nearest Nokia Care Point
If I've helped in any way, a click upon the star over on the left would always be appreciated.
If however my answer also solves your problem clicking below it will benefit other users!
