  • Ios7 updated, phone keeps rebooting after a logo

Iphone 4 (AT&T) updated with IOS7 and phone initially had issues activating but once activated, it just keeps rebooting....as soon as the logo pops up, goes down again and comes back with logo and keeps doing since last night. Tried to connect to itunes but as it is not staying up till itunes recognizes it. Tried DFU mode but won't stay that long either.
it worked perfectly prior to that and updated all IOS updates till now and no issues.
    need help.

Sorry to hear that you lost all your data
When you update directly from the phone only the changes from the previous version are downloaded and the download is therefor smaller then the one you get in SUS or PCC which downloads the entire firmware.
I also get some pop/clipping sound when making a call while listening to music so this is not a problem with your phone. I can forward this as feedback.

  • Phone keeps rebooting for no reason

I just replaced the battery in my Curve 8530 and it keeps rebooting for no reason at all.  Any suggestions/resolutions?

    Hey daVadar,
Have you tried removing and inserting the battery ? i would suggest trying to back up and complete a clean reload of the device software and test before restoring your backup: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320

  • My phone keeps rebooting, whats the deal??

I have only had my phone for 1 week, all of a sudden its rebooting.
There is no consistancy to it. It happens at home, at work, good signal, bad signal, wifi-on, wifi-off, on a call, just sitting on my desk
I bought an app called SystemPanel Pro, which graphs all sorts of stuff. Using this data i can see my phone is rebooting 8-10 times daily
This is not a unique issue. It is all over the internet, all over the forums, etc.
The reason i am not jumping to get a replacement is because i do not want a refurb, i paid a lot of money for this phone and i want my new one.
Can i please have some feedback from an official?

I can say I have found certain apps will cause this to occur.  I have done a factory reset and it stopped doing it.  Though if you would like to have one done, to see if it works on your device, do not do it yourself with out making sure you know what you are doing and what is required to get the phone back up and running.  Take it to a Verizon Corp. store and have them reset it for you they are trained to do this and know how to get the phone back up and running after the reset.

  • How can I update my device software when my phone keeps rebooting? Please help!

    Hi!
Ok so yesterday, my phone randomly froze. The screen went white and error 102 came up. After lots of research, I realized only updating my blackberry would sort it out. It was impossible though as my blackberry started to load 3/4 of the way and then reboot again. Today, I ended up having to wipe my whole system to which I got error 507. For a while my phone wouldn't find any updates and when it did, it would begin to update and then my phone would reboot mid update. I FINALLY found apploader on my system after a big struggle LOL to which it told me I had no software (which I was aware of) and didn't give me the option to add or install everything. I then manually downloaded the software I needed and started apploader again to which it FINALLY found my software, went all the way through to the stage I needed. Told me what would be installed (software, app world, bbm, etc). I started celebrating, went through with the update to which my phone just REBOOTED AGAIN! So obviously the update couldn't complete! I've been through everything.. uninstalled and reinstalled my OS, wiped my phone system, deleted vendor. But absolutely nothing is working. I've got all the way to the end finally and can nearly update my system but the phone just won't stop rebooting. Help!
    Thank you

This tip is for those users where the 'Safe mode' works which want to install new or current device software and restore existing apps in one update.
I had a similar issue. My Torch rebooted about 30s after the home screen was up again so I could not use DTM to help me.  So I used the ‘Save mode’ procedure by holding down the escape key when I saw the loading bar appear and then released it when the home screen was up with a ‘Safe screen’ message, saying OK then.
    see for ‘save mode’ link:
    http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do;jsessionid=08A4E88DB3F21D4A860414EDED22AB58?...)
Once my Torch was steady and did not reboot any more I deleted the 2 apps which might have caused the issue after upgrading them (Who knows why my phone did to tart this afterwards?).
If your phone still reboots after a 'safe' boot, it might be a hardware issue, either in your phone or the cable connections. Try a different USB port, another cable, wiggle on the connection points to see what happens. It could also be that its device software got corrupted and then look elsewhere on this forum.
However, if the safe mode works I suggest reconnecting to your DTM7 in ‘Safe mode’. (Are you running DTM version 7 ?; I suggest it for the next tip).
Now, after you made another backup rather then using the’ Apploader route’  you went through before I suggest to select under Device ‘Update’ and then after it cannot find a newer version it says: ‘Connecting to your BlackBerry device’ and finally ‘There are no Blackberry Device Software updates available’.
Now select ‘View other Versions’ which then points to ‘Device software’ versions on your PC. (I assume you have at least one installed on your PC).
Highlight the ‘currently installed’ version and click install.  Under ‘Update Options’ on the next screen check ‘Back up device data’ and uncheck ‘Email me…’ and then select ‘ Install update’
Now hands off till you get the’ Updating complete’ message. Follow all the prompts for each app. You might have to reload data from one of your previous backup files (it depends how convoluted your BB status is, i.e. did your wipe your phone with another method first?). If you did not and your apps are still present then my method should restore all your current data and apps.
I hope this can work for you too. Let me know by accepting this as a solution or ‘Like” it

My curve 9320 keeps rebooting, I don't know what exactly has made it do that, everytime it loads, it reboots again, I have taken the memory I am very worried because I don't know what to do, please help thank you

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

  • Updated phone, phone keeps rebooting

    updated phone, phone keeps rebooting

    Hey okcjewels,
First, I would try resetting the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
from: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
And if that doesn't resolve the issue then I would backup the device to iTunes and restore it. Just be cautious and back up first, since restoring deletes all content and settings:

  • My phone keeps rebooting.

I've taken the battery out and tried restarting but it keeps going in a loop.  Help!

How Long have you had the Phone.?  If less than 14 Days I would take it back to your Local Store for a Replacement.!  I'll add it may just need to be pulled out of a Deep Discharged state but if you've charged say more than 6 hours then there's and issue with the phone itself..  If you need to make a return trip to the store with it make sure you have the Original Packaging charger etc. so they can make the proper exchange for ya..
    Good Luck b

  • Broadband/phone keeps rebooting

Home hub 2 and with hub phone 2.1. Whenever phone out or call in on my outside number or hub number broadband drops lights on hub Broadband and Phone  flash and reboots each time, and if using hub line and call on outside line hub call cuts out.
Can any one on the forum help of is this a bt line problem, thanks

You've probably got a "High Resistance" (HR) fault on your line. One of the primary symptoms of this is the loss of sync during phone calls. An HR is a poor connection on one or more of the joints on the cable pair between your house and the exchange. This will also give rise to background noise during phone calls - quiet rustling or hissing noises. This is caused by the unwanted mixing of the phone and broadband signals ("Intermodulation"), caused in turn by the poor connection. This forms a crude diode which provides the means of mixing. The phone and broadband signals should co-exist separately on the cable pair - not mixed up together.
    Try this :
    (1)  Listen very carefully during a phone call . Dial the 17070 line test number and choose option 2. You should hear nothing. If you do hear hisses/rustles/crackles, go to (2)
    (2)  Call up the support people and tell them you have an HR line fault. If they are reluctant or don't understand, tell them to write down what you've described in the "Notes" field of the fault report.

  • Phone Keeps Rebooting When Trying to D/L New Apps After An App World Update

Hi. I just got a Blackberry Curve 9350 from Sprint over the weekend. I downloaded some apps and everything went fine. Today, I had a notification to ugrade App World, well the ugrade  was successful, and I clicked yes to allow the device to restart as soon as the ugrade  was finished. Now, whenever I try to download a new application, the phone seemingly downloads it but then the screen turns black when the download is finished and will reboot itself. The new apps aren't found on the device afterwards. What is happening, how can I fix it and download the apps i want?

I suggest that you clear the AppWorld application cache:
    1. Open App World
    2. Go to My World
    3. Follow one (and only one!) of these steps:
3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T
3b. For Touch Screen Only BBs -- Hold the num-lock (!?123) button so it locks and then press, in sequence 3, then 4, then (
    3c. For newer (e,g., OS6 and 7) BB's, see this KB:
KB24714 How to clear the BlackBerry App World cache
    4. AppWorld should close.
    5. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot
    6. Return to AppWorld (it may be sluggish while it re-synchronizes).
If step (4)  does not happen as listed, then the clear cache did not work.
Failing that, you can try this sequence:
    1) Remove AppWorld from your BB (Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications) -- if it requests that you reboot the BB, do so.
    2) Do a Batt-Pull reboot as described above.
    3) Install (on your BB) a fresh copy of AppWorld
    http://blackberry.com/appworld/download
Again, if it requests to reboot, do so.
    4) Do another Batt-Pull reboot
    5) See if it now works.
Hopefully it'll work for you! Good luck and let us know!

  • Lumia 1020 keeps rebooting after updating to 8.1 a...

Hi there, as the title sujests, I just installed the 8.1 and cyan updates and now my phone keep rebooting by itself.

@nick881 which operator do you use, in which country? Perhaps that adds information. Anyway, in a few days, Lumia Cyan should be available on the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. I would go for that rather than a hard reset, because it does a complete reset through re-applying the whole firmware+software.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Read this thread about JVM error
"JVM 102" error is generated on the BlackBerry smartphone
If error message persists, you may try this steps using JL_Cmder.
    1) Download JL_Cmder, unzip & install to the computer.
    2) Now, go ahead and sync all of your info or back it up. If you DO NOT, you will lose it ALL, obviously because we are wiping the device.
    3) If you do not have the latest version of the Desktop Manager, download it from HERE
Also, make sure, that you have the OS you are wanting to install to the device, installed to your computer as well.
    4) Make sure the Vendor XML file is deleted if you are going to install a OS that is not from your carrier. The vendor XML file can be located by going toC:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\ResearchInMotion\Apploader
    5) Make sure the DM is closed and plug in BB to computer via USB
    6) Go to the JL_Cmder on your computer and double click it to start. Now, this may take a few tries to connect, so keep trying until it does.
    7) On the first screen, Press any key to continue.
    8) Now, if your device uses a password, enter it now. If not, press "N"
    9) Press 4 to initiate the WIPE
    10) Press "Y" to continue
    11) Now type "blackberry" to continu
    12) Now you will see a white screen with a '507' Error Don't worry, this is what you want! You are now ready to install the OS.
    13) Open the DM
    14) Select Apploader and step your way to the finish. After the OS is installed, it will take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes to reboot the device. DO NOT UNPLUG THE DEVICE UNTIL THE APPLOADER SCREEN SAYS "THE LOADING OPERATION WAS SUCCESSFUL!!
    15) Almost done. Now, with the DM still open go to the Main page and Select "Backup & Restore" and restore from the backup that was made before wiping.
That's it! You have now wiped your device with JL_Cmder
Make sure you follow the instructions, and you shouldn't have a problem. I hope this helps.
    Good luck!
