Phone Log, Block of Emails, Facebook Inbox all Deleted

Yesterday my phone log went blank, and now no new items get added to it when I call out.
At the same time all my emails between Feb 19 and Sept 29 disappeared.
Also my facebook inbox also was deleted.
I've verified memory (i have lots of memory available)
I tried removing the battery and rebooting...still no results.
Any help would be appreciated.

JSanders, I agree, these numbers are not that bad...
Facebook from what I understand, only parses email to it's special inbox.
I don't know enough about this applcation as I don't use it.
After searching posting surrounding this app, it does not appear to be a memory hog but seems to be involved when users are posting and losing information... I am not throughly convinced this is a problem app. That's why I figure to unload it and just see how the phone behaves.
Good luck and let us know how your doing...
H.

  • All Email in inbox is deleted when trash is emptied!

We were cleaning out our inbox and when the trash was emptied, the trash was wiped out and all emails remaining in the inbox. Where did they go? how do we get them back? What does it mean when the message says "indexing messages" when trash is emptied? Please help. Thanks.

    Proceed as follows:
    1. Quit Mail.
    2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/.
    3. Locate INBOX.mbox and move it to the Desktop.
    4. Open Mail. A new empty INBOX.mbox will automatically be created within the account folder.
This will allow you to continue using Mail normally while trying to solve the problem of bringing the messages back into Mail.
If you ctrl-click on the INBOX.mbox package and choose Show Package Contents, you'll see several files there. mbox is the most important, as it is where the messages themselves are stored. You may also see an Incoming_Mail file that, if present, may contain additional messages.
Both mbox and Incoming_Mail are standard mbox files that you should be able to import back into Mail doing File > Import Mailboxes and choosing Other / Standard mbox as the data format. Problem is, the mbox file is probably too big for Mail to be able to handle it.
You may solve the problem with a third party utility, such as Emailchemy, that breaks mbox into smaller files that Mail can import afterwards.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user's home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user's home folder.

  • Icloud keeps duplicating emails in inbox cannot delete or mark read

New emails in my mail inbox cannot be marked as read or deleted.  They keep reappearing on my iPhone 6 and iPad mini, as well as on my desktop Microsorft Exchange mail for this email account.  They also keep reappearing on the iCloud mail on the iCloud web site. I have tried (1) just marking them as read on the iCloud web site and on every one of the devices; (2) deleting them on the web site and on every device, both after marking them as read and before doing so; (3) deleting them from the trash folder on the web site and on every device.  Like bad pennies, they just keep re-appearing.  What's the solution?

better than doing that would probably be to back up mail and pull the preference for mail. first write down your account info in mail preferences > accounts. back up mail by going to ~/library/ and finding the mail folder. hold down the option key and click and drag the folder to the desktop. make sure it makes a copy. then go to ~/library/preferences and trash the com.apple.mail.plist and restart the computer. when you open mail again, put in your account info and opt not to import mailboxes. then once mail is open again, go to file > import and select import mail for mac os x. then specify the path to the desktop where the copy of the mail folder is. pulling the preference and reimporting the mails will resolve most mail problems. let me know if that works. • Using Mac Mail with Google Apps email reply to all deleted internal recipents

When I have received a message from an external user with internal company recipients as CC, upon clicking Reply to all, it deletes all internal recipients.  Every time, on Maintain Lion and Snow Leopard.
I have tried looking through Google results and community pages.  I find nothing on the issue.  It's 3 separate computers all doing it.  2 are Snow Leopard and 1 is Mountain Lion.

In Mail's sidebar there will be a subsidiary set of folders (located below the main Inbox/Sent folders). Click the down arrow to expand it, look for an inbox in there, if it exists and if it contains the mail do this. Select it, go to the Mailbox menu and choose 'Use This Malobox For' and choose Inbox.

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
It doesn't sound like you "changed" your Apple ID, sounds like you created a new one. Bad idea. All content bought with an Apple ID is forever tied to that ID. The ID that bought the content is the only ID that can update the content. Apple does not merge IDs not does Apple transfer content from one ID to another.

  • Iphone 5 - all deleted emails have reappeared in inbox.  Why?

Travelling around the USA and have been deleting redundant emails from my phone and ipad.  Last night, nearly 400 deleted emails have reappeared in my iphone inbox.   Not in my ipad, just my iPhone 5.
Why and is this likely to keep occurring?
Wonder what I can do to prevent this?
    Thanks

my wife just had this same problem develop with her iPad 2 (not with her iPhone  or our iMac, all using the same email client, Comcast/Xfinity's webmail (which I dislike for lots of other reasons as well). My wife and I share the same address and the problem isn't happening on my iPhone5.
Re-booting the iPad hasn't helped and I haven't tried a reset, but that didn't work for you. Have you had any success with fixing the problem? It's very frustrating. I've posted the same question on an Xfinity forum, but have no responses yet.

  • TS3899 I use 3 email accounts.  All were maintained in separate in boxes.   After upgrading to iOS7.0.2, all emails are together in one inbox.  How do I get them back to their own separate in box?

I use 3 email accounts.  All were maintained in separate in boxes.   After upgrading to iOS7.0.2, all emails are together in one inbox.  How do I get them back to their own separate in box?

You should be able to see them either way, just as you should have been before you upgraded.
If you are viewing the consolidated Inbox, you should see something like this near the top of the screen:
    < Mailboxes  All Inboxes      Edit
Click on the blue "< Mailboxes" to get to the list of separate Inboxes (plus maybe VIP and Flagged virtual mailboxes). Click on one of them to view that Inbox.
If that does not match what you see on your phone, let us know what you do see.

  • My I phone 5 has stopped updating emails, Facebook and the App Store won't load

My I phone 5 has stopped updating email, Facebook and the App Store. Any thoughts please

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

  • When is there going to be a select all/delete all option in email? I need to search for certain emails and delet them from my phone but not my email program (Outlook)

when will there be a select all/delete all option in Emails? I have a large number of emails that come to my phone which i dont want to delete from my outlook mail account (On my PC). However, i want to be able to search, select all and delete these emails from my phone? I do not use ICloud either as it causes issues with my calendars at work.
These features should be a standard as there are plenty of other users out there that are trying to do the same thing and as yet there has been no progress? The email on the iphone is one of the biggest downfalls of the phone, blackberry and android handle them much better, but i dont have an option with my phone at work. Please help??

No one here would have any idea when or if such a feature would be introduced until and unless Apple announces it.

  • My ringer is no longer working for text and email notifications. Only working for phone calls. I have gone through all the settings to see where something is off. Not finding anything. I have tried changing the tone and it just vibrates on everything.

Ok so I happened to figure it out while on the phone to apple support. Even though the guy was very nice, I think I knew more than him! He was explaining very basic resolution principles I played about. I had the second option in displays resolution. All I did was unplug the HDMI cable, click on 'best for display' then plugged the HDMI in and my resolution on the normal monitor changed to the normal blue, then went black momentarily and then changed to a strange resolution but another window appeared that said SONY BRAVIA HDMI at the top! Hey presto! Don't know why it didn't do it yesterday - I probably left the HDMI cable in or something! Oh well. Problem solved!

  • I have an I pad2, an iMac desktop and an I phone 5, how do I get them all to be bale to face time with each other, do I need different email addresses, use the phone number, or the sim number in the iPad ? Ay help gratefully received !!

I have an I pad2, an iMac desktop(2012) and an I phone 5, how do I get them all to be able to face time with each other, do I need different email addresses, use the phone number, or the sim number in the iPad ? Any help gratefully received !!

    Graham,
For the iPad, iMac you need to create verifyible e-mail addresses created with one of the providers such as Yahoo, Gmail, etc.  For the iphone you should use it's phone number, but an e-mail could be used for it too.  If you want to associate these e-mail addresses with a single ID, I'm including a link to give you info about how you can do that. Read it carefully, as it can be a bit confusing.

  • How do I only show my inbox on email and not all the support folders

How do I only show my inbox on email and not all the support folders

There is a third-party program called Attachment Tamer that will do that for you.  In the Terminal, you can type this:
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool yes
Also note that while Attachment Tamer does some things with the encoding that makes certain email clients display the item as an attachment, what shows up at the receiver's end is solely dependent on their email client and its settings.

  • In email (gmail) when I delete a message in my Inbox the next time I open mail all of the items I deleted come back into my Inbox. How do I delete them permanently?

In email (gmail) when I delete a message in one of my email accounts inbox and then close email, the next time I open email for that account all of the deleted messages reappear in my inbox. My email settings are to move all deleted messages to Trash upon closing email but but that doesn't work in one of my email accounts. It works fine in another gmail account I have. How do I get rid of the emails I wish to delet permanantly?

I am wondering if anyone is seeing my question? This is my first time and I am not sure if I am communicating correctly. If you are seeing the question above regading deleted messages reappearing please reply so I will at least know I am getting the message out.
    Thank you.
