Phone looses connection and wont reconnect

Hi,
I have a working syncronization over bluetooth with my Nokia 5800XP, but after a while (a say or so) PC Suite refuses to recognize the phone.
If I click on "Click here to connect phone", select bluetooth and selects my phone on the next page, it will say connection setup complete, but there is no phones listed in the list of available connections.
I can do a normal file transfer with bluetooth, so I believe that it is something with PC suite.
If I restart windows it will work perfect again (for a while).
Is there a good way to restart PC suite (including drivers/services)?
I run:
Windows XP Pro, SP3
Nokia PC Suite  7.1.26.0
PC Connectivity solution v 9.13.1.0
Nokia 5800XP fw v 21.0.025
Bluetooth from Broadcomm v 5.1.0

Reboot.
Restore (from backup)
Restore (as new)
Test after each step. If one of them doesn't fix the problem, make an appointment at the genius bar.

  • Browsers and Mail keep loosing connection and reconnecting randomly.

Connected to a wifi network that has always worked fine.
    Only change is Yosimite upgrade.
Browsers intermittently report no network connection, then make connection seemingly randomly.
Mail keeps taking accounts off line in spite of always being connected.
I do have 16 gigs of ram.
Does anyone know what has happened and how to fix?

The only change has been switching to Yosimite.
The wireless diagnostic says "Basic failure..." contact apple support.
Other devices and computers are connected to same wifi without a problem.
The wifi network is not the issue, something has changed in how the OS is connecting.
The browsers, (Safari and Firefox) will loose connection and say not connected to internet from onwe moment to the next.
A page can be refreshed then a new will report that I am not connected to internet, then after a few attempts to try again, it works.
Mail also seems to loose connection and asking if I want to connect.
The wireless and mail and all browsers have worked with out a problem for years.

  • Phone is connecting and transfering data in the ba...

Today at work my Nokia 6710 did start to transfer data in the background without my interaction. I was typing a sms while the symbol for data transfer below the 3G lit up. Did a quick check in the menu->settings->connectivity->Conn.mgr.  Yes, one active connection was sending and receiving data, small amounts 3-4kb, then idle.
I ended the connection in the Conn.mgr. Closed all the apps in the phone and waited a minute. Then it started one new connection in the background again! Same procedure, checked and closed it...! This did not stop, every time the phone started a new connection after a minute?
I did try to find what could cause this, but no success. What is going on, any ideas for what to check?
I finally deleted my  3G access point in menu->settings->settings->connection->destinations->internet
This did stopp the phone from connecting and transfering data.
Back home I connected to my WiFi at home, used the browser and closed the connection. Guess what, the phone did now connect via the WiFi in the background doing exactly the same type of small data transfer - without asking!?
What is this? I downloaded the latest F-Secure mobile version to check for virus, but nothing, it was clean.
I did shut down the phone, will not use it until I can stop these unwanted connections and transfers. Please help.

Finally I found the reason for these data transfers. The upgrade of the mentioned files did have something to do with all of this, but the removal of the files did not help.
So, I did go through all the settings in again for Connections and the setting for Share Video were set On...? Turning this setting Off did stop the background data transfers.
Problem solved perhaps. But I still wonder why the Share Video setting did start sending data while the phone was not in use? A bug? A virus? A hacker trying to activate the webcam?

syncing iphone and now phone is stuck and wont power off or do anything

Reboot the phone:  hold down the power button and the home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "slide to shut down".  When the screen has been completely black for a few minutes, press the power button again.

Since you give no clue as to what make/model/version WiFi router you are using or how you have it configured it's hard to comment.

  • Why does my HP photosmart C6100 loose connectivity and have to be uninstalled and re installed?

My HP photosmart C6100 printer constantly looses wireless connection and I have to uninstall and reinstall the printer on my laptop. I have been told that this may be because of its age but when it prints it works fine. What can I do to resolve the problem?

The printer could be experiencing an issue with the DHCP information.  If the printer enters standby mode, the router could assign the DHCP addresses to a different device causing the printer to not reconnect to the network.
Try setting a static IP address as outlined in step 5 of this document from HP.  A static IP address gives the printer exactly what it needs for the network on a more permanent basis eliminating the need for DHCP (automatic) settings.  I recommend setting a static IP address for any printer in general as it helps create a stable connection for the printer.
Also, what brand and model is the router?

  • Skype disconnects and wont reconnect

So, lately at random points of time Skype suddenly starty trying to reconnect while I am still connected to the internet (its even happening as I'm typing this) and it wont connect at all. I also tried turning off Skype and restarting it but then it just stays in the signing in screen.
It just disconnects me out of the blue and refuses to reconnect while being connected to the internet the entire time and it wont reconnect untill I start my laptop.
Aditional information: Skype is fully updated, I believe I run a 32 bit version of it (My laptop is 64 bit but sometimes it refuses to run 64 bit applications), Windows 8.1

Same thing is happening to me pal. I would have to restart my CPU to fix the issue.

  • Bridge Connection Drops & Wont Reconnect

So, I totally love the PlayBook and think the Bridge concept is awesome!
I've been having a consistent problem where the Bridge connects and works fine.  Then when I wake up in the morning there is no Bridge connection and fails to reconnect.  I've found if I uninstall Bridge and reinstall there is no issue with connecting then, but I grow tired of this routine.    Any ideas?  I have a Curve 8520 on v5.0.0.900 and the PlayBook is on 1.0.3.1868 and I appreciate any advice.
    Thanks!

  • Skype drops connection and cannot reconnect after network change

Whenever I switch between wifi and cable or if I enable my VPN, the skype connection drops and does not reconnect. The problem is not the VPN though because when on VPN I can Quit Skype, and reopen it and then it will connect. The same applies when switching between wifi and cable. Having to quit and restart skype everytime I switch really sucks, its supposed to be more "rugged" i would think.

Guys tell you that when they quit Skype and start it again, it connects well! It means nothing to do with local IT configuration. The problem started few months ago. There is a proxy configuration for VPN defined in Skype settings and it always worked fine, switching connection accordingly to the network. Now it loses connection when we switch between VPN and regular network and vice versa. The Skype restart is required each time to restore connection and it is REALY annoying.
If you claimed it worked differently before what changed on your end?  Does it behave differently in an older version of Skype (harder to test since they're discontinuing older versions)?  Most people who connect to a VPN use a VPN client to do so like the Windows  PPTP VPN, Cisco VPN client, etc..   People use varying VPN servers and VPN client versions and they can behave differently.   If users have a Proxy server they define that in the Proxy configuration.  I've personally never attempted authenticating to a VPN server using the Skype's proxy configuration in connection settings.   Split-tunneling is one setting that affects how traffic is handled and can produce a different result.  I wish I could tell you there is one solution to your problem.  If  you determine the process differed in a earlier release, it would be helpful to post the last release it behaved in the fashion you are accustomed to. A contact of mine uses a VPN connection and toggles it on and off especially when we have bandwidth related issue.  That does disrupt his Skype connection momentarily but he hasn't had to ever completely exit Skype.  However he relies on the VPN client and does not place that authentication information in the proxy configuration.
