Phone losing all data numerous times a day since recent upgrade
What's the deal, Verizon?
I posted this possible solution in another thread on here. Go into Settings -> More Settings -> Mobile Networks -> Network mode. Change it from Global to LTE/CDMA. Then back out and go to Access Point Names. There should be a green circle next to LTE - Verizon Internet. If not, press the circle on the right which should turn it green. Back out and restart the phone. So far, this has resolved my problem since the update. Hopefully it helps.

If you don't have your old computer, but you made regular backups of it, restore the most recent backup using the backup software that you used to make the backup. You will have to read the instructions for it.

You have to restore from the computer to which it is synced. Everything on the ipod should be on the computer so it can be put back on the ipod after restore.

Ipad2 crashes multiple times a day after ios7 upgrade. This does not seem to be an app specific problem and has happened with Safari, other browsers, games, books, etc. The screen freezes and then the app closes to the reveal the desktop. I use the ipad exclusively in landscape. I have purged memory several times and tried re installation. I never had a problem with the device prior to the upgrade. Any suggestions or solutions? Many thanks.

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
If the issue persists...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

Apple TV only showing trying to change date and time. I have recently changed to a new wifi provider and need to change the settings in tha ATV box.
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123. -
Am having all kinds of trouble enabling Home Sharing on Apple TV 3. Had been working previously, but now I am unable to share files between TV, Ipods and iMac. I have tried restarting all hardware, systems and connections. I recently upgraded modem, would this have an effect on connectivity?

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

How do I get my old iPhone 4g to work with a new computer without losing all data on it?
I bought a new MacBook Pro with Retna display to replace a dead gateway running Windows XP. My iPhone 4 was always connected to the old gateway and I synced to the iTunes on it. Now I have my new MacBook up and running and have logged into its new iTunes and synced my new iTunes to my Apple ID and to the apple store. Everything looks good in the new iTunes. Problem is now when I connect my old iPhone to the new computer it's iTunes warns of my iPhone data about to be erased. How can I prevent losing all my stuff. I don't want to lose all my text messages on the iPhone. What can I do to prevent losing everything from my phone?

So why do you suppose we get this awful warning when we connect our iPhone to a new computer that all data on the phone will be deleted if we continue? Furthermore why don't we get a further explanation as to what to do sat that point?
I can not stand warnings like this that make me feel like I have done something wrong, that somehow I may be violating my terms of service. All that legalize is not customer friendly. Apple has always impressed my more that any company with excellent personal customer service but this is not good the way they scare you when you honestly are trying to move to a new computer with your old iPhone. -
How to enter a new Date and Time each day in a Numbers Spreadsheet...
Hi... I have finally decided to move away from Excel and really give Numbers a shot... I have an application where each day I first enter the current date and time into a particular cell of a new row and then I enter some data in cells adjacent (in the same row) as that entered date-time. Then the next day I want to again enter the (new) current date and time and add more data next to that new date-time and so forth day after day... You can't use something as simple as =NOW() because then everyday, ALL of the date-times would change to the current time... Nope, now what I want... I just want to be able to EASILY and QUICKLY enter the current date-time value in one call and then have that specific value stay there forever... In Excel, this is accomplished with the keyboard shortcuts of
<cntl> followed by a semicolon (;) for the date
then enter a single space (for separation of date versus time) followed last by
<command> followed again by a semicolon...
So all together that is,
<cntl><;><sp><command><;>
and that puts something like
4/10/2010 9:49:00 AM
in a single cell...
That's what I now want to be able to do in Numbers...
How do I do that??? Do I use the menubar item "Insert Date and Time" and if so, how exactly do I get the current time to show up in the chosen cell??? With formatting??? Is there a keyboard shortcut method like the one I mentioned that works for Excel?? I've perused the manual and though I found lots on date-time, I didn't see how to do specifically what I want to do... I likely just missed it as surely it must be easy to do...

After upgrading my phone with the latest upgrade, i have entered my old pasword and my phone doesnt recognise it. I have tred numerous times and bêen denied access. My phone hás beên díabled. After re-booting it I get 1 shot then it disables it again. what can i do now???

Exactly my experience. I've said before that McAfee was tolerable on my reasonably powerful laptop, but it absolutely throttled the (upgraded) netbook rendering it unusable for up to 10 mins after boot and when it scanned. I was so impressed with the change that MSE brought to the netbook that I went for it on both computers and have not regretted it for a moment.

if you can put those data in your computer then add it in iTunes. your iPhone 5s should get it thru syncing.

Well the title says it all really.
I have to sync my iphone 4 with my new laptop as the old one broke. How do I do this without losing all my pictures, music, contacts & things purchased form the itunes store?
It seems really silly that everything gets wiped off the phone when using a different laptop. This problem must happen quite often as I am sure I am not the only person who has had a pc that has broken.
I hope you someone can help. All the stuff on my phone is important to me.

How do I zero all data on Time Capsule?
I just got the new 2TB Time Capsule and I want to get rid of my previous 1TB one, but I can't figure out how to zero all data on that disk, and I of course don't want to sell my Time Capsule to a stranger with sensitive data on it. Does anyone know how to wipe out all the data on a Time Capsule?

Launch Airport Utility, double-click on your old Time Capsule in the left column, then click on "Disks" in the toolbar, click on the Time Capsule Disk on the left, then click on the "Erase..." button. -
I have iPhone 4s, wife has iphone 4. She works, I am retired. She needs Siri. How can we switch phones and get all data, contacts, calendars, etc to switch correctly?
First make sure both iPhones are using the lastest iOS 5.1.1. Secondly make sure all of your data is backed up in separate iCloud accounts one for each user. Make sure that you are all of the options in iCloud are on. Then you have to switch the sim cards.

You can use iTunes to restore or the iCloud option. I find that iCloud is much easier to setup but it requires wifi.
