Phone memory almost full

hello,
Z10 owner and lately I 'm getting message that phone memory is almost full even I do not have installed any particular apps .
As well as I do not have any pictures or video.....what happen ????
I need help !

When do you get this message, what are you doing when you see it?

If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

Is Paul McCartney's "Memory Almost Full" an iTunes Plus album?

I pre-ordered Paul McCartney's "Memory Almost Full (Deluxe Version)" album. I don't see anything that states that it is iTunes Plus, and the single track that was downloaded is 128kb with DRM.
All of Paul's other albums are 'iTunes Plus' so I assumed that this one would be too. Does anyone know if it is?

i have a c3 an the phone memory is says i only have 3mb left yet nothin is on my phone ive tried to hard reset the phone to factory settings but this just lessens my small amount of memory i have got left... when i explore my phone i have nothing in it evan deleted clip arts etc to free spae up... please someone help

Nokia 5800 - phone memory always full

got my phone yesterday from prepay mania, i hav an 8gb memory card in it btw, whenever i go to the menu i get messages saying c: phone memory full, please delete some data. sometimes it doesnt let me access particular features such as "settings" and even returns me to my home screen
my question was how do i move all my future downloads and all the stuff on my phone memory to my memory card, so i wont get these messages coming up all the time

if you have installed applications, uninstall them and reinstall them but this time choose the memory card as your main destination (the application should ask where do you want to install it). Also, if you have configured an email account, make sure you choose the memory card to store your emails (go to the messaging/email application, select options - settings - other and where it says memory in use select E: Memory Card (instead of phone memory). Finally, if you have been using the Web application, go to options - clear privacy data (select cache and cookies).
If none of these options solve your problem, then do a hard reset (after backing up the phone, of course)

Memory almost full issue

My memory is almost full and I regularly perform disk clean-up and defragments. I also deleted any unused programs and performed a shadow copy (reduced to 500MB).
I only have 23 GB left. How can I greatly increase the capacity of C: without having to do a format/restore?

One quick thing you can do is to limit how much space System Restore will use. See this:

By default it is taking up 15% of your drive and it is probably full. Back it off to a couple gigs as outlined in the link above.
You can also reduce the size of the swap file. Modern computers with 4 or more gigs of RAM do not need to have a swap file the same size as memory. You can cut the swap file in half or even down to a gig.

Set the minimum and maximum swap (paging file) size the same-say 1024 mb or 2048 mb which is plenty. It is an old performance trick that is still worth doing.
Other than that, you have to remove actual data files particularly videos which can take up a lot of room.

N97 Phone Memory getting full

Hi there,
My Phone Memory is getting less and less everyday, and I don't know why! I have my messages being saved to my Mass Memory, all images, photos, videos, applications, and so on are also being saved there!
I tried the file manager on the cellphone, to look at every single folder to see if there is anything to delete, but everything is empty!
Where is the memory going to?!

After Updating to ios 5 My entire phones memory was full why?

I updated my Iphone 4 to the new soft wear ie ios 5. After doing so I noticed that my phones memeory was almost compleatly used up and the majority of that was in the other catigory. Now my phone is running pretty slow and its really annoying me. I'm not sure if there is something i need to do to fix this or if maybe a restore would fix the promblem. Ik I don't have enough stuff on it in the "Other" catagory to take up that much space. I hope someone can help!!

ok thanks for someone "Wjolsten" pointing out that i might have put on the 'ringer silence' button on on the side of the phone. ......................... boy do i feel stupid. thanks all the same for the 'tech support' from Apple, Geniuses?? i dont think so.

You can clear out your downloads folder, and your Mail Downloads folder.
You can also uninstall any apps you aren't using.

N97 Phone Memory full?

I have had my phone since Saturday, so not long at all, and already Im getting constant errors to say the phone memory is full. I have about 400k free.
I have now changed my msg location to save to the Mass storage and deleted all previous messages from phone memory, and cleared the web cache. I have installed around 5 apps i think, like a game, the photo browser updated ovi maps and a twitter app.
If you go into the File manager on the phone and goto Options--->Details---Memory while viewing the phone memory i get this break down:
73MB Memory in use
456kb Free Memory
411B Calendar
23KB Contacts
10KB Message
0B Images
0B Sound Files
1840KB Video Clips
31KB Documents
6650KB MIDP apps
8923KB SIS applications
56MB Other Files
Can anyone explain what could be using all this extra memory and how to resolve this??

no secrets i just try to avoid junk on my phone and all junk that i need i store on e memory unless i have no choice as in boingo, jaiku and qip apps that unfortunately came with this bloody phone. just like i am religious about rebooting my phone at least weekly, but with n97 is more like daily. i am religious with ram management and disable everything i don't need.
There are some things you can do to manage the C memory better/phone memory.
1. Clear your browser cache often
2. set different message allocation ( if you have not done so already)
messaging- options- settings- other ( set it to 999, and e memory)
3. Go to OVI store (app on your phone) and change that memory allocation for most apps.
opitons- account- settings- installation preferences
4. Remove Facebook, Accu Weather, Bloomberg, apps from the C drivve and reinstall them via OVI store and place them in the E memory/mass memory
NOTE: If you are using Nokia Messaging application, it can only store data on the C drive so keep that in mind
NOTE: RAM is another issue with N97. Don't keep too many apps running at the same time as it will run out of RAM and either close all applications on the spot or crash the phone and result in restart.
BETTER RAM management : Here are some things to consider
also consider investing in the best taskman 1.99$ in the ovi store or y browser (free) to manage your ram and all the apps that are runnig on the phone that you might want to close if you are not using them.

now y browser is free, it has a great amount of stuff you can do with it, but it is not as easy to use as best taskman and it does not look so pretty- that is if you care about looks over function.
i practice what i preach and manage to have my phone up and running rather well. i have no major issues and on v12 it is actually a fairly stable phone that is until you install some apps that make your phone go bunkers once again.

2600 Classic Phone memory Full

I am not able to add phone numbers in my contacts list after about 900 phone numbers. The phone says phone memory is full. I still have 8MB free on my phone. Is there a separate memory for phone list? Can I increase this?

i'm not 100% sure, but i have a feeling that quite a lot of phones now have a 1000 phone number limit, so i am sure that you have reached that. in saying that, i do not think you can increase this limit any further, maybe clean up your phone numbers?

How to remove Write Protected Phone Memory of Noki...

i have 500 also and my problem is same. I have some pictures in my phone memory and in my memory card too. From some reason I cant remove these pictures away from my phone memory. This is really annoying 'cause now i cant even got any emails 'cause "phone memory is full, try to remove some files".. BUT I CANT REMOVE ANY FILES 'CAUSE ALL FILES IN MY PHONE MEMORY IS WRITE PROTECTED, EXPECT TEXT MESSAGES!! I'm removed over 600 text messages allready but there was no help to situation.. How does the N70 phone memory interact with the me...

I am not sure how to use the phone memory and the card memory on my N70. I thought that the memory card was simply an overflow which was activated when my phone memory was full. However when I download music from my PC and my phone memory is full I will get the message "not enough memory". Obviously I'm being a "thicko" again. Help!Message Edited by holein1 on 26-Apr-2006

It doesn't quite work in the way you suggest. You will always have the option to use the memory card instead of the phone memory. If you want your phone to have a fairly quick response time it's best practice to keep as much free phone memory as possible, eg. of my approx 20MB, I use about 5MB which leaves approx 15MB unused. There are some files I do store in phone memory in order to keep my N70 running relatively quick and that's actively used ringtones and any themes that I currently use.
When you install 3rd party applications, your phone will ask you whether you want to install to phone memory or to the memory card.
If your having issues of filling up the phone memory with incoming messages then you can choose to have incoming messages routed directly to your memory card thus bypassing the phone memory. To access the setting go to:
Menu > Messaging > Options > Settings > Other > Memory in use
Change memory in use from phone memory to memory card.
This should cure your "not enough memory" error messages.
