Phone not being fix untill a month from now

my phone/internet cut out, called verizon, they said that it will take them a month for some one to come and fix it.  i stated that i was a student online classes and need intrenet access.  Is there a place were i can file a complaint to the company ? can i contact the FCC? or my city gov. because verizon almost holds a monopoly over my city, this is the second time this has happen and i really cant change companies.  

On 1 June my service was supposed be transferred. Technician came by. Turned on service. 2hours later no service. Called Verizon, got a run around. Tuesday 5:30p technician calls. "I'm on my way". 9pm still no show. 3 June 11am I am told a technician will TRY to come by my house on 4 June.
Got fed up and have told Verizon{please keep your posts courteous} . As much as I hate Comcast I will give them my business. They said they will have me hooked up with TV, Internet, Phone within 4hours.
Verizon has a lost a very loyal and long long time customer. {please keep your posts courteous}

    There is no Apple here, this is a user to user forum.  When you said you restored, then you restore as NEW?
    If you restored as New and still the problem persiist, then it time to take a trip to the Apple store.

    Problem:
    When I plug in my iPhone to sync, it starts but does not complete the process and several pieces of data are not being transferred to my iPhone from my MacBook Air.
    Any help that you can provide in helping my iPhone accurately sync with iPhoto and iTunes will be greatly appreciated.
    Symptoms:
    1)   Sync:  It’s not completing the sync.  Below, I’ve provided all of my settings from the iTunes Summary tab so that you might tell me if I’ve selected any incorrect options.  I prefer to sync the “old school” way – by connecting to the computer – as opposed to syncing over the cloud. Perhaps this is what’s causing the problem? Here is a list of the steps displayed in the iTunes window as the sync progresses:
    waiting for sync to start (step 1 of 7)
    backing up (step 2 of 7)
    preparing to sync (step 3 of 7)
    determining apps to sync (step 4 of 7)
    preparing apps to sync (step 5 of 7)
    importing photos (step 6 of 7)
    waiting for changes to be applied (step 7 of 7)
    syncing apps / copying 1 of 4 (App name) (step 7 of 7)
    canceling sync
    apple icon
    2)   Photos: I've selected only certain of my iPhoto albums to sync to my iPhone.  All of the albums are correct/complete in iPhoto.  All of the albums are listed on my iPhone, both before and after the sync, but the albums are empty (no actual photos) before and after the sync. Perhaps this is tied to the fact that the sync isn’t completing, but because “importing photos” is one of the steps that the incomplete sync displays, I don’t know.
    3)   Apps: When I launch iTunes and click on the Apps folder under the Library listing, then click on the Updates tab, iTunes searches for any Apps needing to be updated and provides a list.  If I click on Update All, the Apps are successfully updated in iTunes.  But, when I plug in my iPhone so that the updates will transfer to the apps on my iPhone, the updates don’t transfer to the apps on my iPhone and those apps still reflect that they need updating on the iPhone.
    Other Potential Pertinent Info:
    The flash memory hard drive on my MacBook Air recently died (perhaps a month or two ago).  Apple had emailed me about a known issue and literally the next day, my MacBook Air crashed.  I installed a new flash memory drive and re-installed everything from a backup off of an external hard drive.  Everything seems to be working fine; it recreated accurately all of my software and data, including iPhoto and iTunes, the pictures and songs (respectively) for which are stored on that hard drive, as opposed to being on the flash memory in the MacBook Air itself.  However, I don’t recall if the start of the sync problem described herein started happening at the same time that I replaced the flash memory drive.  All I know is that the computer is working perfectly in all respects and that even as the sync is failing, it at least says that it’s doing the right things and looking in the right places (e.g., the list of albums on my iPhone matches the list of albums in iTunes, etc.).

    You need to download iTunes on your computer. iOS 6 requires the latest version of iTunes which is 10.7.

    maybe you can control the room temperature.... i try to charge iPod shuffle beside the mini fan, so heat from shuffle can blown away... or maybe, you can charge the iPod in Air Conditioned room....
    i think this device have a mechanism to cut off the charging process if device temperature too hot. such a safety system so this ipod won't burn out when overcharging.

  • Permissions not being fixed

    i tried to fix permissions on my macbook and it seemed to work fine, but five minutes later, i fixed permissions again "just to check" and i figured out that my permissions are not being fixed. What can i do?

    If you recently installed the iPhoto and Front Row updates, then you are probably seeing messages that are innocuous and can be safely ignored. We all see the same thing. Hopefully this may be fixed in a future update.

    ... my next phone will be dumber than my decision to buy a Samsung Galaxy S4. To anyone who will happen upon this message and is looking to purchase a new phone, my advice is that if you are looking at getting a Galaxy S4 then all I can say is DON'T.
    Thank you verizon (lower case v intentional) for your bloatware, your draconian terms of service agreement, your terrible customer service, your inflated prices, your inferior products, and for you just being you.
    In the meantime my refurbished replacement to a truly over-hyped, steaming piece of moose dung phone that failed on me within a month of purchase will arrive right in the middle of my vacation week that I must now wait around for otherwise you'll charge me $500 I don't ship off my original phone within five business days for some ungodly, unknown reason. Your shareholders should rest easy knowing that all that money just to get some scratched up replacement is money well spent on them.
    23 months and counting... and for each month that passes by I will return to this site to remind, and to educate any poor fool who happens upon your doorstep on what lays in-store for them.

    Make sure when you send your current phone back that you use your own Fed Ex Label and NOT the one they send you. It will cost you a few bucks to do it but make sure that you
    1) Take a picture of the contents of the box before you send it
    2) Add some packing inside the box to make sure the phone is protected
    3) record the weight of the box
    4) insure the box for $500-$600
    5) track the phone and print out the signature when it is actually received back at Verizon
    If not (and you may still run into this) you will get charged for the phone not being returned
    Be told that the phone was damaged or not the correct phone
    Be told that the Box was empty

  • Date Functions( first day of a month that is 3 months from now....)

    I have recently written my first stored procedure.
    Its rather a bunch of SQL statements.
    I had to hard code lot of dates. most of them are first day of the current monthe or last day of current month etc.
    I thot of parametrizing all the dates, but if a business person has to include all the parameters they could go wrong and get the wrong results.
    Now, I want to use date functions to achieve these requirements:
    Can any one please throw some insght into this:....
    1) First day of current month,
    2) last day of current month.
    3) first day of previious month
    4) last day of previous month
    5) first day of a month that is 3 months from now.
    6) last day of a month that is 3 months from now.
    7).....
    Can any one please throw some light on any one of this.. I can try to work from there onwards ....

  • Why are contacts I add on my phone not being backed up/linked to iCloud?

    I need to delete a previous employer outlook email account from my phone but don't want to lose all of my contacts.  I see most of my contacts show they are linked to both that outlook account and to the icloud.  I am assuming if I delete the outlook account I will still have the contacts backed up to the icloud?  Can someone please confirm this?  Second question is that I see quite a few contacts do not show a link at all to either outlook or icloud.  Will I lose those contacts?  It appears those contacts were created directly on my phone itself, so why are those contacts not being backed up to the cloud?  Appreciate any help you can give me so I don't lose contacts and/or have to enter them all over again (I did have my IT department give me a backup of my contacts on excel so worse care I can re-enter all of them but obviously I don't want to have to do that).  Thanks! 

    Did she restore the iPhone 4 and set it up as new wtih her AppleID?
    Or did she simply turn it on with your Apple ID still on it and start deleting everything?
    You should have Settings > iCLoud account as your AppleID.
    She should have hers.

  • Phone not getting fixed Hardware ISSUE

    Hi wondering if any one could help me here I got a new iphone 5 in 2012 but it came faulty in oct 2013 with the sticky buttons which was replaced (yippee) but as of today aug 2014 the camera went faulty after I updated my phone on 7.1.2 and now is coming up with a pink screen when trying to use the rear camera!!! ! I then went to the genius bar in braehead, and the lady told me new camera is £55 new phone is £209 but you have to come back and make an appointment which I did I then spoke to a genius and was informed its an hardware issue which is a common problem plus the cameras can not be fixed in the iphone 5 and the new phone was the only option! and even tho its a new phone from October 2013 its not covered as the warranty ends when the first phone ends??  Can any one explain to me what law allows them to say this as I thought if I was giving a new phone under warranty this would then at least be a years warranty or do they not trust there own product? I have been a huge apple fan with apple tv and ipads ect but I am totally sickened by the pay £209 or live with it   also the genius person said if the phone was bought from a branch then she could of tried and got it replaced but because it was threw a provider o2 she cant even tho its still an apple phone!!!

    hi , well my phone is not being detected, i made assure that the usb cable is alright, usb port is not 3.0 and is fine good and is among working ports, after trying so much i changed pc , cable but the phone still remains same undetected, wherein if i restart my phone it shows installing mtp drivers and shows symbol to have patience post which it shows error,it is behaving this way only after the update to kitkat i guess, because before that it was alright.suggestions appreciated and thanks in advance

    To solve the issue, open Device Manager on your computer to reinstall the driver for your device while your device is connected with your PC via a USB cable.
    Microsoft Windows Vista and 7 users
    To open Device manager on your computer
    Click on the Start button. 
    In the Search box, type device manager, and then press enter. 
    To reinstall the drivers for your device
    Scroll down to the Universal Serial Bus controllers (USB section) of the Device Manager window. 
    Look for an MTP Device: Media Device, Unknown Device or any other reference to your phone. Click on this entry and choose "Uninstall" whilst leaving the device connected. 
    Wait a few minutes, and the computer will reinstall the drivers for the device.
    Now, the phone is accessible via Computer/My Computer on your computer.

  • Why does my phone not always send or receive iMessages from certain iPhones?

    My phone doesn't receive or send iMessages from a couple contacts I have and with other numbers it receives fine but sends as a regular text. I've played with all the settings but nothing is working

    Aswell as needing an internet connection both devices need to be running iOS5. They also need to have imessage turned on withing settings>messages. If neither of the above is true then it wont work simple as.

    a t-mobile rep. told me that because apple has a lot of pre-orders they won't send their phones till 4 weeks from now even the people that ordered mid-night thursday.

    We here are users like yourself, not Apple. We have no way of knowing the answer to your question, or any like it. You cite a service provider's rep. He probably knows much more than anyone here.
