Phone reboots during conversation

This isn't the first time this has happened but last night while phoning a friend my iphone rebooted a number of times. There didn't seem to be a time period when this happened and I wasn't moving about, but as you can imagine this is a very annoying thing to happen and a true reason that might see me discontinuing my use of the 3GS.
I see a large amount of other posts on this topic and yes I have left feedback, but I feel another thread needs to be opened on this problem as a free case isn't going to fix this! I did note that I had just about every app open while this was happening so it wasn't a true reboot, but the apple logo came up and I had to wait for the phone to restore before I could use it again. Sounds like a software issue to me!

Have you tried removing the battery and replacing it after one minute - let the phone reboot and see if this helps any?

My office uses a SPA 525G system and recently phones have been randomly rebooting during phone calls, causing the calls to drop. I have seen previous forums on various sites about this being a common problem but still do not have a clear answer on what a good solution might be.

Phone reboots during downloads

Hi.
My Nokia 6630, used as a modem, often suddenly reboots during long downloads.
So the connection is interrupted.
Can anybody say whay this happens, and how to avoid it?

yup. same thing happened to me. I did a factory reset three times. it still didn't help. I really didn't want to do a factory reset because I'd lose all my data from all the game levels and notepads, etc. but at the end, I finally did a factory reset and the problem still occurred. during its reboot, it got stuck frozen at the google sign for about 5-10 minutes, I pulled the battery and tried it again. Again it got stuck at the google sign. i had to do it numerous times until the home screen finally showed up, half an hour later. i got fed up, i believe the phone was defective so I requested for a replacement.

Phone rebooted during call

Got the phone yesterday... Was out for a nice walk this moring talking to my mom on the phone and she went silent - looked down at the phone and the AT&T logo was there - the phone was rebooting. Had been on the phone for maybe 7-8 minutes and it had been up to my ear the whole time, so it wasn't a combination of anything on my part.
Only seen this once so hopeful it's a once off.
Nice phone Nokia - please stick to it and work out the kinks. Giving this phone a shot and I'm a potential long-term customer (have had nokia phones in the past when I lived in Europe)

First please backup your data and perform a soft reset on your phone (press and hold the volume down and power buttons) until the phone reboots and see if that solves your problem. There have been a fair share of problems reported of the AT&T variants of the 920, and a reset has often solved it. Try it and report back to us how it goes.
Failing the hard resets working, you will need to take your 920 back to your point of purchase, or if they are not helpful, then you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care point for them to inspect.

My phone buzzes during conversation, my phone buzzes during conversation

I have a 3Gs phone and each time I make a call or receive a call their is a buzzing noise that occurs in the voice conversation. Now the main porblem is that I cannot hear this noise on my end of the phone, but on the other end the people I am talking with can hear it very clear. I have completely restored the phone settings but no change. Anybody heard of others having this problem?

ZTE Open C reboots during calls

The phone reboots during calls. OS version 1.3, latest according to ZTE.
Thing is, only when it is set to use 3G. But if I set to 2G the audio is absolutely terrible.
Both when using 2G and 3G sometimes the calls get cut-off on the receiver phone. I can hear the other person talking but the other person doesn't hear anything. This is another issue.
What can I do? The phone was bought from Ebay on September 2014.
Problem didn't start now, ZTE Ebay support said the issue was a SIM one. I recently changed to 3G because the noises in 2G are almost unbearable.

Hi,
What ZTE meant was changing carriers not just sim card. I can't do that for another 1.5 years. The reason they said is because the phone seemed fine for a while when using another carrier. Sadly, the SIM is fine since another SIM card from the same carrier does the same. Both are working fine on Android Phones.

8110 reboots during phone conversation

I have plenty of free memory and my BB functions properly all the time. However when I am on the phone the entire device just randomly shuts down and reboots. It just turns off and then turns back on like it normally would if I had turned it off and then on. It brings up the hour glass for a while and eventually is starts back up. What is going on? Everyone thinks that I am hanging up on them.

Phone shuts off during conversations

Anyone else experiencing this problem - the iphone will randomly click and turn off during conversations - this began yesterday (Nov 30th) and has happende about 6 times today. The firmware is up to date as of Friday - no issues on Fri or Sat.

Clever phone!!! What accent/voice/gender does it have when it reports the failed call? What you're reporting here sounds more like the network reporting to your phone that the caller has lost connection to the network, not that you have!
When the iPhone loses network connection (as opposed to the sender/network simply dropping the call) then you may be lucky enough to hear a click but otherwise you'll just get silence!

Black screen during conversation

Can anyone help me with this? I own an iPhone 3GS and during conversations, screen becomes totally black, so I can't reach KEYBOARD, SPEAKERS, and so on. Any suggestions, please? Thanks and best regards!!!

Phone reboots midcall

My phone (Samsung Fascinate) has taken to rebooting about 20 minutes into phone calls. I'm using a Motorola H17txt Bluetooth headset on some of these calls, not using any headset and Bluetooth is turned off on others. Same result in both scenarios. About 20 minutes into the call, the phone reboots. What gives?

I'd say any phone that couldn't handle a 20 minute phone call wasn't much of a phone.
Like the VZW employee said, this isn't normal. I regularly have longer phone conversations than 20 minutes and my phone has never even felt warm after them. Up until I broke it, it was never in a cover, so I was holding the back and would have known.

Can't reset incoming call during conversation after upgrade to IOS 5

Right after migration to IOS 5 I discovered that it's impossible to drop incoming call during conversation. I mean when you pressed power button twice in IOS 4 call must be transferred to voice mail or resetted. It was fine before migration to 5th version pf OS. I tried to reset my phone to manufacture settings but result was the same.
Does anyone met the same with new IOS?

It doesn't matter once or twice the button was pressed - both calls are resetted.

WRT1900ac reboots during streaming

Router has been stable (for several days at a time) as long as Network Map is not used etc.
Witnessed twice: the router will reboot during video streaming.
Case 1:
Laptop 1 connected via 5G (n) pulling video over the home network (from desktop to laptop). 20 minutes into the session, the connection drops and the WRT1900ac reboots.
Case 2:
Laptop 2 connected via 5G (ac) streaming Netflix. About 20 minutes in, the connection drops and the router reboots.
Latest firmware. Both radios on "auto." Connect speeds and coverage are good. No signs of overheating (although I suspect the latter). As mentioned above, the unit is otherwise stable. Several days between incidents and both reboots are directly related to streaming. I have not played with the "Media Prioritization" widget, nor should I have to in a generic situation like this.
Suggestions SVP.

The 5Ghz radio is stable as i've gamed on it for hours. Unless there is interferences or an incompatibility issue with cllient HW, the radios are fine.
What Hardware version is your router?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What region are you located?
Has a Factory Reset been performed?
Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates then set up from scratch?
To safely update FW, I recommend doing the following: Download the FW file from the support site first.
1. Save router config to file first using IE or FF with all security add-ons disabled.
2. Factory reset the router with all other devices disconnected or turned OFF accept for 1 wired PC.
3. Reload or Update the FW using IE or FF. Just download the FW file to your local wired LAN PC.
4. Factory reset the router and then set up from scratch first and test with out loading the saved config from file. Check to see if any problems are fixed before loading the saved config from file. Sometimes you need to set up from scratch with out loading the saved config file. Just safer that way.

Ensure any devices with WiFi adapter drivers are updated.

Router Placement

3-6' feet minimum safe distance between devices.
Placement on main level floor and central in the building and WELL ventilated is preferred. Not in basements or closets as building materials, or near by electronics devices could interfere or hinder good signal propagation.

It may have been the bandwidth and connectons while streaming was over loading the router which may cause a reboot. Let us know if MP helps curb this when in this configuration.
Also the use of the Network Map app causes reboots and is a known problem to Linksys. So don't use it unless next release. We hope Linksys will get it fixed then.
