Phone reboots itself

When I make a call or receive a call the phone suddenly reboots itself within a few minutes into the call.
Any hep on this matter would be appreciated.

it seems an update issue, reading on the forum.
Unlikely... more like something simply did not load correctly.
Restore as new to confirm it's not simply a setting issue.

Have you tried basics from the manual?

  • After updates, phone reboots itself

I received the update a few days ago and ever since my phone has been restarting itself 3+ times a day.  Does anybody else have this issue and what can i do to fix this?

I assume this is the JB 4.1.2 update. Boot into recovery and clean cache and dalvik cache. Hopefully that should solve your reboots. If not, you may have to factory data reset. Good Luck!

  • 5800 Phone reboots itself every time I recieve cal...

I've just upgraded my 5800 to the latest firmware in the UK for Vodafone 20.0.0.12. But now every time I receive a call the phone just restart itself, has anyone else had the same problem and is there a fix. please helpppppppppppppppp

Try disabling 3G to see if thats the cause, if so request a new sim card. Menu> Settings > Connectivity > Network > Network mode - set to GSM.
If that doesn't help try the following reset codes, if the first one doesn't solve the problem try the second.  The first code will just reset your settings.  The second will reset everything and wipe all of your data.  Be sure to backup before using either of them.
Enter these like dialing a number:
Reset to factory defaults (*#7780#) : Restores settings but preserves user data (photos, 3rd party apps etc).
Reset (*#7370#) : This reformats completely the C: drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean default files will be rewritten.
If after these codes you still have the problem you will need to contact vodafone as it may be a sim card or hardware fault.

  • N96 reboots itself

    software version: 12.043
    software version date: 26-11-08
    custom version: 12.043.098.1
    custom version date: 26-11-08
    type: RM-247
    product code: 0543727
Once when I was typing an SMS message the phone just stopped responding and rebooted it self.
Another time when I was exiting the camera application the phone rebooted itself.
Obviously something crashed... but is this going to be expected behavoiur from now on ? Has only been 1 month since I got the phone and the crashing thing happened twice so far.

The N96 does a lot of indexing to allow the search function to work when you first set it up so I would think the re start would have been caused by that.
I've had mine a few months now and yes it does re start every now and again but its not all the time if you know what I mean.
If your problem persists I would try doing a factory re start. If that does not work then a total format but that returns your handset to an just out of the box condition so you have to enter all your data again.
Personally I would leave it and if it re starts more often, do something but mine settled down after a while.

I'm not sure what do do, everytime the battery goes up my phone reboots itself, im not sure if its to do with my battery or the new charger or just my phone?

Check the USB port and the USB cable for any kind of lint, debris or bent pins.
    Try another, working USB cable.
If still no luck, get it checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or contact Apple Support to get it serviced:

The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.

  • After upgrading to ICS my Xperia mini (ST15i) hangs and reboot itself?

Ah I was very happy after getting official ROM of ICS but my happiness goes down very soon because now I'm facing many problems with my phone.
It is hanging most of the time at least once or twicw in a day, sometime hangs and reboot itself but sometime I have to estart it by remove the battery. When it hangs if my battery is at 90% and I remove the battery and put it back and restart it then it goes down to near about 70% or less.
Phone dial pad is very slow to open than 3rd party softwares. Back and Option key response very slow. I know this could be performance issue but this is too much.
However many apps goes to hang, mostley my browsers I wa using Boat and Dolphin HD browser and after upgrading I tries Chrome which also hangs. My phones battery drain so fast now also my phone heat too.
I tried to contact the support thorugh E-mail but still yet no reply so I'm here to ask this please help me guys. I have very slow bandwidth so please suggest me the good way to solve this problem. I don't want to downgrade but if its neccessary then I'll.

regarding the phone/dialer download Dialer One
regarding your battery life, you should check which apps are causing this
charge your phone 100% use it as you normally would then once it reaches 10%
settings > battery > take screenshots of this list an the graph, also tap on each item and take screenshots post them here
delete taskillers, antivirus, battery apps, ram apps as they slow down your phone, drain your battery and cause a lot of issues.

  • IPhone 3Gs rebooting itself now stuck on boot

    Hello,
I've had my iPhone 3Gs since February 2010 making it as of this post 1 year old and 3 months over warrantee. Last week my iPhone started randomly turning off and on again and it was happening a few times each day. It began to reboot itself more frequently, to the point where I couldn't use the phone because it would turn off mid text-message and during phone calls. I grew frustrated and decided to put it into recovery mode to restore the phone, as people on these discussion threads recommended with no luck, it was giving me an error code 29 right when it got to the part to upgrade the firmware (I believe it didn't make it to this point because the phone would turn off). I tried this several times when finally it worked! I restored my iPhone and loaded the backup I had made and charged the phone up and went about my day. As the battery drained it turned on and off more frequently and then went from 30% to 3%. It now will not charge whatsoever on the charger, or through my MacBookPro. It will not boot up at all, but flashes the apple logo then turns black and it keeps doing this over and over. Itunes won't even recognize the iPhone as being connected to my computer.
I don't know what to do. I have never jailbroken this iPhone or tampered with it in any way, and I'm very disappointed that this product is showing such huge issues after only a year of use. Right now my iPhone is completely unusable and I'm hoping that somebody has an answer for me to fix this.

On My iPhone 3GS started with iOS 4.3 and 5.0 did not improve even with the 5.0.1. When started, the device shut down at around 43% battery. Every 2 or 3 weeks the problem got worse ... 53%, 65%, 75%, 86%, 96%, 98% and 100% now it can be turned off.
I realized that if I use the internet through the 3G off at around 98%. If you use the internet through wi-fi, off at around 86%. If you use 3D games off even faster. The first shutdown can be restored by resetting the system (home + power). But after the second or third, it asks to connect to an electrical outlet, the battery even when it was full. If you make a small charge, enough to start the system will turn off at the next mark (percentages cited above). I started using the iPhone always connected to an electrical outlet (house or car).
Recently I made a painful test: I turned off the 3G, wifi and data transmission; stopped to use all the features of the iPhone, except for calls and SMS. The GPS was on, but I did not use any application that needed it. As a result, the battery lasted about 4 days and declined up to 6% (when it fell during a call). I was very glad to review the battery alerts (20% and 10%) after so many months. Then I waited 1 or 2 hours and recharged the phone to 100%. I noticed that charging was much slower than what was occurring before (and remains so since then). But until now I did not notice a difference in the problem.
Other users with the same problem say revert to factory settings did not fix the problem. There are no Apple Stores in my country, only representatives and mobile phone carriers, but the assurance of my iPhone expired in May 2011, in addition, here we have the iPhone 4S world's most expensive (between US$ 1419 and US $ 1,855), the which means buying another iPhone is a last option. Buy another battery would be easier, but I question: if the problem is the battery, why work properly when does not was required 3G, Internet, games or gps?
It would be nice if Apple responded something like "we are aware of the problem and are working on it." At least we could hope to keep until the next update.

  • IPhone crashes and reboots itself every 2 minutes after updating to iOS 5.01

I saw other people complaing about problems with their devices after updating to the new firmware, but this one wasn't one of those problems. After updating to iOS 5 I did have a few crashes but then some time passed and they stop. The battery meter also seemed to be okay. It wasn't until today that the problems not only came back, but became much worse. I updated the firmware to 5.01 and not only is the battery acting up again, but my phone crashes every 1 to 2 minutes. Suddenly the screen goes black, I wait like a minute for the phone to reboot itself, then it's another minute of it working properly and then the same thing happens and it repeats all over again. I guess it might be important to point out that I'm with a 3gs, which I bought from a country (in Europe) in which I'm not right now (I'm still in Europe though), so there is no way for me to get any help from tech support.

Ok nevermind that, I restored it via my PC and so far I haven't had any problems (it's been a little less than an hour, so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed)

    Hi
Could there be festive lights near the line  indoor / outdoor or anything on a timer -  ie water heater ect
Those two can be especially  troublesome this time of year
If not, I'd raise  fault & see if the line checks come back with anything that might need an openreach visit.
    https://www.bt.com/consumerFaultTracking/public/faults/reporting.do?pageId=21
Also check if there is anything up locally with openreach's new checker tool.
    http://www.homeandwork.openreach.co.uk/problems-with-your-phone-or-broadband/search.aspx
Finally also try the "Quiet Line Test" dialing 17070 {option 2} to see if their is any noise on the voice line.
    http://support.zen.co.uk/kb/Knowledgebase/Performing-a-Quiet-Line-Test
    If the test's come back with no fault found;
Then possibly research using a openreach modem with the hh5 or get a 3rd party non-bt all-in-one.
These are the two main fixes people use on here for the hh5's mischief.

  • Driod 4 keeps rebooting itself and battery won't stay charged

What do I do about my droid 4 constantly rebooting itself after the verizon wireless update that was pushed out March 23 or so?
1st my phone was frozen after the update and I had to request a replacement phone.
2nd the replacement phone randomly just reboots, whether I am using it or not.
The battery barley stays charged even when it's on the charger.  I have all the data syncs off
I can't update my apps because the phone says it does not have network access., but I can make call and send text messages.
very upset about this, verizon should have tested the update further before pushing it out.  there was nothing wrong with my original phone, now I h ave a large paper weight that has to stay hooked to the charger.

        Hi alval!
I am sorry to learn of the rebooting issues with your phone after the latest software update. Let's get your phone our the paper weight mode and back into the awesome wireless device that it is! I had similar issues with my phone after the latest software update and I resolved all issues by doing a factory reset http://vz.to/TZvgLF as this clears any third party applications conflicts and any potential system errors created while processing update. Make sure to back up all your important media before doing factory reset as this process deletes all media and bring phone back to original state. Keep us posted.
